Fit perfectly, clear so they are not noticeable, smooth gliding thanks to the felt-like pad on the bottom.
These chair leg protectors were exactly what we needed for the bottom of our dining chairs and our bar stools. We live in a condominium and needed something to prevent the scraping sound of the chair/stool legs dragging across the travertine tile floors when the chairs or bar stools are pulled out from the table/bar. The chair and stool leg sizes are different so we ordered a size to fit each of them. The chairs and stools now glide effortlessly and make no sound as they are moved across the travertine tile floor, something that I am sure the people living below us certainly appreciate! We would definitely order these again.

Look around for the BEST solution.st.
My sister gave me these heavy metal chairs and we have wood floors we have to protect. She bought these cheap stick on felt protectors. They did NOT stick very well, except to the floor. I remembered seeing some kind of slip on chair leg protectors. So I looked them up on Amazon and found these. They are wonderful. They seem very durable. They are a somewhat soft cushiony plastic, that is easy to put on the chair legs. Cheap solution that saves my floors. And they slide so nice now.

Great product! Just make sure to double check the size to ensure you buy the right size. The plastic casing is soft and flexible and the felt pads have totally protected my floor,

Perfect for everyday use and busy kids!!
We have tried several different types of floor protectors (both felt and plastic protectors) for our dining chairs that we use everyday and that are on a hardwood floor. All the other types of protectors would wear down quickly or would just slide off the bottom of the chair leg with daily use and three kids that can be rough. These have been the best protectors that I have found ! The design of the floor protector is what works- the plastic cup that hugs the chair leg. I did a lot of research and reading reviews before purchasing these because I hated to spend the money on yet more floor protectors that wouldn't last two weeks. It has been nearly two months and they are still on and their condition is like new- the plastic around the chair leg as well as the felt bottom. Also, I thought that they would stand out on my nice Pottery Barn chairs, and yes you and can see them, but they don't stand out as much as a scratched up floor, in my opinion. These will last a long while until I have to buy more, but I will be getting these again when or IF the time comes!

Bad ones. Good ones on chair legs. Bad ones w/ scalloped edges.
I have tried all kinds of felt and teflon pads from with various attachments mechanisms like glue on, nail in, push on, tap on, etc.. The glue on don't stick for long. The others stick but the felt pad fails. I tried the plastic (scalloped edge) "As seen on TV" ones at Bed Bath and Beyond but the plastic cracked within weeks My chairs slide across a tile floor that has divoted grout lines which scrape at the pads. BUT these MelonBoat protectors have been in use for 6 months and the felt hasn't broken down and the plastic is in nearly new shape. I am ordering more for other chairs. Finally, I can stop replacing the pads every couple of months.

Easy to put on & it protects against scratches
I bought these for my dining room table and chairs. They’re made of flexible plastic. They were very easy to put on. It was like putting on a flexible shoe that molded to the wooden leg. There was no struggle; they each glided on. I bought these based on the reviews here & to protect my wooden floors. They function as described; there are no scratches on my floor when the chairs are (often) moved. Plus, the chairs glide quietly now with them on. I’d buy this product again! I bought the clear ones. I’m quite satisfied!

Great Invention...Love 'Em
These are great! They fit our square, wooden bar stool legs (about an inch and 3/4) perfectly, and do exactly what they're expected to do...prevent them from scuffing up our wood floors, while still allowing the chairs to slide around freely. They are also clear, so they look pretty decent. I've seen some that are colored and tacky looking. Kudos to the people who invented these little babies, I wish I'd of had them years ago! And I also wish that chair manufactures would realize that some people actually put chairs on wood floors! And let me tell you, just about all the options that chair leg bottoms currently come with wreak havoc on hard wood floors!

Best Yet
Had been using the knitted booties but they kept slipping and mis-aligning. Not to mention that they became huge dust and cat hair catchers. Because the bottoms didn't stay in place, the chair did not move smoothly, even though they were still providing scratch protection. The Melonboat protectors went on easily, and now the chairs glide smoothly. Can't speak to durability yet, as I just got them. But when they do wear out, I'm sure I'll have no hesitation about replacing them.

Great find for our dining room chairs!
Yay! No more stick-on felt pads that mainly gather dust and debris and don't work. We had ordered the MelonBoat lotus protectors for our kitchen chairs and was very, very impressed. Our dining room chairs have two different sized legs, bigger and square in the back, smaller and rectangle in the front. So far, we have only received the protectors for the back legs and are awaiting the protectors for the front legs (from a different manufacturer). The MelonBoat square protectors seem excellent. I can't speak to the durability factor, we just got them. Will update at a future date.

Can't believe I lived this long without these!
I was very skeptical of ordering these but I am SO glad I did! They fit without issue on both my barstools and my kitchen chairs. This was a pleasant surprise because all the legs are slightly different sizes, but the silicone stretches for an excellent fit. No more scratching along the wood floors. An added bonus is these provide a buffer against my base boards so the bar stools don't scuff the paint. Even better is no more adhesive on the bottom of felt pads for pet hair to stick to! Love these! Will probably order more so I can have a couple spare sets on hand, but these seem pretty sturdy and I expect them to last a long time.
