Absolutely beautiful tool. I use this all the time to clean up rough cuts and make angles or small pieces. The blade it comes with is very thin and sharp and I am still using it many hours of work later. This unit is beautiful and simple to adjust. Dial it in close and it will perform well.

Works great. Been using it to mainly cut 3/4” woods. Works great and very fast for all wood types so far (pine, plywood and oak). Doesn’t bog down. Even ripped a small piece of 2x4 with ease to test. Setup was really quick and easy; about 10 minutes. I only had to tighten the tension a tiny bit, but blade that came preinstalled was perfectly aligned on track. Cuts surprisingly straight with the fence on with little drift. Would definitely recommend for DIY and weekend woodworkers. No complaints at all.

Love this thing! Minimal setup and dialed in the blade tension in just a few minutes. Love that it has a fence for a small 9" Band-saw. Its 2018! all Band saws should come with a fence! Glad I found this before I purchased any of the other band-saws in this price point. After using it for nearly a month, I an very pleased with it, My 9 yrs old son has been using it as well and it works perfectly for him. The blade is actually really good as well, I was expecting to replace it right away. Usually, these low cost band-saws have cheap blades and this one seems to be a grade above that. If you are looking at the Ryobi (I was) or any other brand in this price point to include Harbor Freight, you will notice these are made by the same company and just have small design changes to make them look different. The addition of a fence and not having to make one is worth the price.

Probably not the tool for an every day user or someone doing large projects on the regular, but that's a hard price to beat for a band saw. I'd say just don't force feed it or give it too much work and it should be fine. There are plastic bits where there should really be metal bits, so I doubt that's anything that's going to last for any extended period of use. I got it for one specific project though, and it seems like it will do the trick. Anything extra I get out of it I consider a bonus. Instructions were pretty straight-forward. Easy to assemble and adjust. The table is bent, it has a downward slant of probably 5-10 degrees, but it's towards the blade so it still makes square cuts and turned out to be just a cosmetic issue. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Great as a starter saw and would recommend for a light hobbyist, or someone with other bandsaws looking for something a little more light duty and somewhat portable. At 40lbs, it's not really all that heavy. Just a little cumbersome.

I’m no expert on power tools, and especially band saws. This does what it’s supposed to. I use it mainly for cutting through resin. I used to use a scroll saw, but its small blade would overheat and melt the plastic. This doesn’t happen with the bandsaw since it has time to cool down before the cutting surface area comes around again.

Right out of the well packaged box I could tell it was quality. It is made out of heavy duty steel and a lage aluminum work table, it has a very instructive manuel that tells you exactly what you need to get started, it comes with a sharp blade that cuts very well, the motor is very quite and smooth sounding, I can tell it will become a staple in my work shop

I just got this band saw last week and "WOW' I love it.. I had bought 2 used ones in the past and i have learned ''ALLOT'' about band saws . This Wen band saw is well built ans so much easier to use & maintain. Just opening the doors to the wheels that the blade rides on is so easy. One twist of a knob and it opens.. My other ones i had at least 4 knobs to unscrew then take off a plastic cover that never went back on easy.. If your doing small projects this baby is great. I was worried about the 1/3rd HP motor but it's fine.. I've cut threw a 2 inch thick oak board with know problem. So know what your needs are and buy for your needs. I WISH I HAD BOUGHT THIS SAW 2 YEARS AGO. The only thing i can is wrong with the saw is the base should be wider . Nothing that a thick piece of plywood cant fix. This is the second Wen product i have bought and i will continue to do so..

Fits my needs perfectly. Easy setup/assembly. New hobby for me is pen turning, peppermills, and other smaller items. This band saw cuts easily thru a 3x3 inch block. With one 3x3x12 inch block I can get 3 4 inch peppermill blanks and probally 8 slimline pen blanks with the excess cut off the 3x3 block when reducing the width for a peppermill. Probally 70 slimline blanks if the whole 12" in used. If using a really exotic wood, the cost per blank is way way less then just buying the precut pen blanks Saw seems solid and well built. Guide fence is good and easy to set and lock down. The miter gauge is kind of flimsy but just ok. Just go slowly with yourcuts with just enough pressure to make your cuts and it will go thru the block easily

I have owned a 14 in. band saw in the past. This little thing performs very well. no problem re-sawing 2x4's or hardwood. I adjusted this saw according to the "Alex Snodgrass Method". Pleasantly surprised with the whole thing. The above pictures were taking after re-sawing with the fence.

This is my first table saw, purchased so I could cut out some pinewood derby cars. Being a novice, I found the saw easy to setup and use and was up and running in no time. I marveled how much easier this is to use - and what a great job it does - when compared to using other power tools, e.g. a jigsaw. I think I'll try some other wood working projects.
