Easy to use

It makes wood splitting much easier. The log stays in the stand and usually with one or two hits from a mallet the log is split. We use this for campfires and for a wood burning stove.

Saves a lot if time and your fingers.

Works great. BUT holes need to be drilled through the ends of the feet to be able to screw it to the base of your choice. I would buy it again.

Works Great! Safer than just using an axe.

Item was packaged very well. Item was as described a d received quickly. It has made the splitting of kindling a breeze. It also makes splitting some of the wood easier.

So far-so good.

The unit appears well made, though it is impossible at this point to address durability. The blade was sharp and splits wood easily. It is a bit small and there is a tendency to bind while splitting if one is not careful about wood size selection. If the piece of wood is too large, even though it fits in the top hoop, as the wedge spreads the split wood it will bind before falling through or being removed. Not a big deal after you get the hang of eye-balling your available kindling candidates. I'd have gone for the larger Kindling Cracker, but at nearly $200 (Inc shipping) I could not afford or justify it. As with splitting any wood, knit's are a problem. I go for straight grain pieces with no, or few, knots and have no issues. I recommend and would by again.
