Brush tip is a win!
These markers are perfect for calligraphy because you have the pen tip that you can outline with or the brush tip that flows super nicely. They are great for making gradients because they are water based so the blending is lovely. I wouldn’t recommend them for coloring in large scale art pieces because they do get streaky even if you’re working fast. If you’re looking to use them for coloring books you should be fine, they have a beautiful color range and they are super affordable!

performance and affordability
They are much nicer than I expected for the price. Bought them for my 9 yr old for her birthday. The colors are not quite as vivid as copic and prismacolor markers. But they do perform quite well. There is a nice selection of shade so you can get depth and blending in your work. They are perfect for a young talented artist who tends to misplace things or someone older who wants to try a new medium in their artwork without spending a lot of $. They would also be great for adult coloring books. Cons- A couple of the brush tips came shredded so there were 2 or 3 markers where the brush tips are not usable in smaller or more defined areas. And you have to be extra light with the fine tip side as those will bend with too much force.

Nice pens
I really like these to use these markers when I am coloring on the front of a greeting cards I am creating. I also use alcohol markers but since they bleed through the paper, these water color markers are preferable since they don’t bleed. The colors are very vibrant. My complaint is that they are so tight in the container they are hard to remove. The container is so pretty I don’t want to transfer them to a different container so I will just take out a couple of pens and store them separately to make it more accessible. February 8, 2018 Just to add a note...I bought the World of Flowers coloring book by Basford. The paper is thick but the pictures are printed on both sides. These markers work great on this book. Beautiful vibrant colors and no bleed through. I wish Ohuhu made a set of 100. I’d be the first to buy it.

These are wonderful!
I have been wanting to start journaling, and I thought using different colored pens would be fun. I have several kinds, but they were too thick (needed a fine point) and too heavy. I am just using regular weight lined notebook paper and most markers are too intense and bleed through. I liked these because they had two tips (includes a brush-type) and they were on sale (Prime Day). I had no idea they would be so awesome. The colors are beautiful. The pastels are truly pastel. They flow well and don't puddle or bleed through the paper using the fine tip. Using the brush tip, the color is more intense and does bleed through. I know to use heavier paper. The tips are very fine, comparable to the 01 Sakura Pigma Micron. I do not know of the Ohuhu are permanent. I doubt it, but for what I am using them for they are perfect. I so not know how long they will last or how durable they are, but they were very inexpensive. I couldn't be happier. [Full disclosure: my husband and son are both have university degrees in fine art and are working artists, so I know a lot about art supplies. These are great for the non-professional like me.]

Doesn't bleed through paper!
Love love love love these pens! i've been looking for gel pens at a good price for adult coloring books for a long time now. I bought these and have not been disappointed in the least! They don't bleed through the paper and they're so super smooth!

Decent quality and good price for dual-tip brush pens
At less than 40¢ (as of this writing) for each marker, this is a very good deal! Tombows currently work out to around $1.65 per pen. There’s a really nice range of vibrant colors and a decent range of values (i.e., light to dark). The brush tip is similar to Tombow’s but the other end is super-fine. Tombows have more of a bullet point. Too bad they aren’t open-stock — at least not at this time — because there are a few colors that I know I will use up fast! The container looks lovely and it’s sturdy but it’s not very practical. Dual tip markers should be stored on their side so this container would roll. A hexagonal container would solve that part. Aside from that, they are a snug fit so you can only access the outer pens directly from the container anyway. On 100lb card stock, the ink does not bleed thru at all (that’s the only weight I use but I expect it will work with lighter card, too), but it does bleed thru on printer paper. At this price point, I would not expect the tips to last particularly long — especially if you’re heavy-handed or use rough paper — nor do I expect there to be tons of ink. They are water-based but not actual watercolors and there is no blender pen in the set. I have seen YouTube tutorials where they show a technique for blending two colors with these pens without using a blender pen. Plain water doesn’t work well for blending — not for me; the inks absorb into the paper too quickly. And I doubt that the colors are lightfast so be sure to take photos of any masterpieces. In spite of the cons, I think these could be a nice tool for “hobbyist” card-making and especially fun for adult coloring books IF the paper is heavy and enough. I could see myself buying them again if nothing better came along.

Bright and smooth
Update 2: the company sent me a new set of markers and I am changing my rating to 5 stars. The new ones work wonderfully and I love them! Thank you Update: after using some of the fine tips only once or twice I am noticing them now separating and bending. I am not applying much pressure at all as I know that can damage them. Not all are doing this but it's very irritating when you can't use them. I am loving these markers. They are bright and smooth writing and drawing. I use them in my bullet journal and haven’t had any issues with bleed through. My only criticism is the lids don’t go on smoothly. If I am not paying attention the lid doesn’t close completely. It feels like you have it closed when putting it back on, but there is a small gap that you have to push harder to close it. Overall tho I recommend these markers.

Great Set of Pens
I just got these in not to long ago and already I love them. They are great for doing some shading in small areas of my drawing. They actually work well with the Ohuhu markers and Master markers.

I just like to color
PROS: *Good color selection *There are no duplicates (but some are close) *The caps match the ink better than any other brand I’ve tried *Caps fit securely *Both ends of each pen are the same color *Colors blend nicely *Great customer service CONS: *Some colors are not as pigmented as I’d like *A few came with slightly imperfect brush nibs and dry fine nibs, but the company was quick to replace them *Blending can be tricky because the paper gets over-saturated, but that probably has more to do with the paper than the marker *The storage container is sturdy, but ideally markers should be stored horizontally and that’s not easy in a round container *The markers aren’t named or numbered, so if you make a swatch chart, you’ll have to use a sticker or Sharpie to add a number yourself *The brush tips don’t hold up very well I’d love to try Copics, but I’m not an artist, I color in coloring books. For decades, I’ve used Crayola markers and geometric pattern books, but recently decided to try scenery books and realized I’d need super-fine tips. I picked these Ohuhu markers because they’re visually appealing, had good YouTube reviews, and were a reasonable price. While using these, I accidentally discovered I can blend colors. It opened a whole new world of coloring! I started trying other brands to see how they’d perform in comparison. These are among 5 brands of markers I’ve bought in the past month, trying to find the ideal marker in this price range. Despite a few “cons”, they’re still my #1 choice, based on the above “pros”, especially at this price. One more thing: I found a solution for frayed brush tips. Trimming just a teeny tiny bit off tip with pair of sharp nail clippers held at an angle, can restore the point. It won’t be quite the same as a true brush tip, but more like an angle tip. First try it on a color you don’t like, to see if it’ll work for your purposes.

Was expecting more from this product because I love the alcohol markers from Ohuhu brand
[Update 9/5/18] Ohuhu Direct reached out to me in regard to this product review and very kindly offered to replace the markers! I am very happy with the service and feel that this is going above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy. (A++) I also didn't state this prior, but I am a hobbyist/illustrator in my free time, so I have a bit of expierence with different mediums. Since I bought these when the markers were were fairly new on Amazon, there wasn't any review or Youtube video to show how to use them properly. I went ahead and did some research and discovered that the these dual tip markers seem to work best on paper suited for watercolors! I will try them out again and report back with my findings. ------------------ Was expecting more from this product because I love the alcohol markers from Ohuhu brand. These markers though, are very wet and tear up any paper I use them on (and the tips have started to warp if I apply too much pressure too). I can't recommend this product unless you are familiar with this type of marker I guess.
