This worked exactly like it was supposed to. It installed pretty quick and I only had to use one of the screws provided to hold it down in the M.2 slot. This worked perfect to bolster the existing memory of an EEMC memory storage Lenovo Ideapad 110S which only had 32GB of internal memory. No more annoying notifications from Microsoft that I don't have enough space to do updates( Or install needed programs). I made this the primary boot drive and I'm using the original EEMC memory as extra backup like my Micro SD. If you have your install of Windows 10 on both your EEMC memory and a MicroSD it can be a bit annoying to get into BOOT mode to get this guy installed in the first place. I had to backup my important stuff on my MicroSD then create a Windows 10 ISO file on a USB drive for a fresh install. at this point I was able to delete the wacky partitions from before and make this Crucial sata my primary. Works good. Increased my speed a little bit. No more insufficient storage notifications.

Received the 1TB M.2 SSD today and plugged it in my desktop. It recognized it right away and so I used Easus to clone my primary platter drive that had my operating system on it in about an hour. Then I restarted the computer and pressed F12 to select which drive to boot from and selected the crucial drive. Then I pressed windows button + R to gain access to HD manager and proceeded to format my old drive designating it to a data drive for photo's etc. The whole operation was quite painless. It started right up and no problems. Ran a speed test with performance mark and it reads at 561 mb/s and writes at 520 mb/s so it's operating at optimal specifications. Not a single problem installing and getting it set up. I like that they included the tie down screw as most SSD's do not. My mother board didn't come with one so this was nice. Everything runs butter smooth now which is a huge difference from having a platter HD that ran at 7200 rpms. It's night and day. Thank you crucial for a fair priced SSD. The drive temp never climbs over 55 degrees celsius.

Dell XPS 13 9360 upgrade. PCIe NVMe is overkill for me, so I went with this SATA M.2 drive. I've had good luck with Crucial SSD's in the past. Crucial MX500 seemed like a good alternative to the Samsung 860 EVO...similar warranty and specs but $40 cheaper. I did a fresh install so I can't comment on the cloning software. Comes with a mounting screw, but the factory screw that came with the XPS 13 worked fine. Install went easily. Works great. 5 stars.

Replacing the 125 gb SSD with the Crucial 1Tb SSD went without difficulty. I had the linux version but the clone software provided only works for windows. No problem, Macrium Reflect version 7.2 free edition makes a boot thumbdrive using another windows machine that boots the Dell XPS fine (tap F12 on bootup until blue line appears, then select UEFI boot usb). Then clone the original OS into the Crucial SSD (I used the M.2 SSD enclosure from https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D6MMRD5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). This worked flawlessly and it can now be used as a 125gb thumb drive. Before installing the new SSD I used the linux utility GParted to expand the partition to use the full 1Tb. Swapping the SSD went without incident and it booted up normally on the first try. The only hiccup was finding a #5 Torx wrench to remove the screws from the back of the computer! The drive came with two screws but they are not needed for installation. I am a happy customer.

The boot time on my Dell Inspiron 15 7559 is so fast now, took about 7s to completely boot up. Definitely worth the price. For those who read this review, please do check to make sure your laptop or PC M.2 slot support SATA or NVMe, This is a SATA M.2 SSD not NVMe.

In the past I've always stuck with the Samsung SSDs - but with a 5-Year Warranty and comparable specs - this Crucial MX-500 hit the mark. I bought an ELUTENG M.2 SATA SSD Housing to USB C 2230 2242 2260 2280 USB3 Adapter and it worked perfectly to clone my existing Boot SSD over to this new 1TB model. I walked through the Crucial software manually to see what the options were but ultimately used it in automated mode. It performed flawlessly and I love the high speed capacity of this device. I purchased this SSD for my son's HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Ryzen 5 laptop. The HP Envy x360 2-in-1 came with a 1 TB spinning HDD installed. Boot up, application launches, and shut down all took a relatively long time. He asked if there was anything I could do to increase the performance of his laptop. Installation was simple. Transfer of the files using the Crucial software took some time, but patience ruled the day. In the end, everything transferred properly. Boot up, application launch, and shut down are all substantially faster. I left the spinning HD installed and now he has a drive to store all of his files on as well. The performance boost for the price paid make the drive well worth the money. Easy installation. Crucial data transfer software takes a little patience. Performance boost. Great purchase. Recommended product.

Works great in my Intel NUC6i7KYK Skull Canyon Mini PC. Drive is fast and the price is really good compared to competing products. Not quite as fast as the Samsung NVMe EVO and PRO M.2 drives, but not far behind, priced much better, and has a longer endurance rating than the Samsung drives.

Easy to install, good price HUGE difference in laptop (Acer E5-575-33bm) experience compared to stock 5400 rpm HDD. Boot time went from 2+ minutes to 30 seconds, from power on to using an app. Everything feels “snappier”. Crucial Software made it incredibly easy to clone the drive and boot from the SSD. Came with installation screws.
