My old rice cooker was damaged in my recent move so I needed a new one. It was a real bummer since I had it for 7 years. At first I bought a cooker from Panasonic for more money. When I got that one I was horrified to see after 5 different tries I couldn't get the Panasonic rice cooker to fully cook any kind of rice. I returned it the next day. I decided to give Aroma a try and got it this afternoon. I followed the instructions and pressed start. 40 minutes later I had perfectly cooked rice with nothing sticking to the inner ceramic pot! It kept it warm for the next hour till I turned it off, and never dried out the rice. I cannot wait to try soup and the steamer in it. So nice to buy a semi expensive item and have it do what it advertises! I plan to get one for my in laws for Christmas!

This rice cooker is amazing. It is truly great, chuck it in press a button and let it get to work, the food is cooked great tastes great.Makes rice so easy and cooks it just right.Use it for porridge and will not go back to the stove top. Put your food in set the delay and come home to cooked food, or put it on go to work and it will cook slow all day then keep it hot for hours without drying out. Fantastic tool.It can make considerable quantities, at least enough for 12 people to have a reasonable portion and it’s shamedully easy to clean and maintain. I’d recommend to to anyone.

I LOVE this rice cooker. I have had a few different rice cookers, because we eat rice every day. This is my favorite! I bought it because it is ceramic, and I don’t want nonstick (I just don’t trust it). It’s easy to clean, cooks delicious rice, and is just as good, if not better, than a nonstick, and far healthier. I read a lot of reviews before buying it, and my main concern was being able to get a replacement bowl if mine chipped or cracked, so I contacted Aroma and they said they do offer replacement bowls on their site, for I think it is $30. So don’t let that worry stop you from getting this cooker. It was the biggest worry I had and I’m glad it’s really nothing I have to worry about. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t keep warm indefinitely. But you can turn it off then hit keep warm and theoretically do that as long as you’d like. But the rice does get hard and crusty quicker than in a nonstick. Which is fine, I shouldn’t leave it in there so long anyway. And that’s not the cooker’s fault anyway, it’s mine for being lazy! I always bought Zojirushi cookers before but now I’m gonna go with Aroma from here on out! I am so grateful they offer an option that isn’t nonstick. I had contacted Zojirushi when deciding on a new cooker, and they said they didn’t plan to make an alternative to nonstick and were real dismissive about it, like it was dumb to worry about. Thanks, Aroma, for being pretty much the only cooker company to offer this fuzzy logic type of rice cooker in something other than nonstick! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this and your great customer service when I contacted your company about a replacement bowl. You’ve got a customer for life now and I’ll recommend this cooker to any any everyone that will listen!

My last rice cooker was also Aroma, and it last forever. It was not broken, just the nonstiky layer is worn off after using it for 6 years. So I decided to get the ceramic rice cooker with the same brand. The price of it is high, but I think it is worthy. I don’t need to worry about the nonstiky layer anymore, because it is ceramic. It also cook fast and very quiet. Finally the cooked rice tasted really good. So it’s a pretty good buy.

I received this multi-functional rice cooker a few weeks ago. The ceramic inner pot is what I have been looking for and it did not disappoint me. It can store the leftover in the fridge and reheat over the stove directly, which is very convenient. It is also very easy to clean up. It cooks faster than the rice cooker we had before, very efficient. It is sturdy and beautifully-designed, looks elegant on my counter top. It certainly worth the money! I am very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend this.

Our family household is from an Asian background - and before purchasing this rice cooker, I read through the reviews. We have owned Tatung, Sanyo, and Zojirushi products, so was initially unsure of the brand. We cook mostly Haiga rice (short grain), and this is the Asian style rice. The reasons why we went with this cooker was because it used a ceramic inner pot as well as the multiple modes. The quality of the rice cooking impressed the family, as the rice came out perfect and not soggy or dry. There was no overburnt areas, and the cooking of the rice was consistent and even. The ceramic inner pot is a plus given there is no teflon that is very common with rice cookers available. All in all - very pleased with purchase.

I admit it, I am rice challenged and always have been. Maybe it is my caucasian alpine village upbringing, I don't know. I can make perfect omelletes, poach a lovely chicken, and rock the bbq. But when it comes to cooking rice, I burn it, undercook it, or end up with a gooey sticky mess more times then not.OOh, my family loves this soo much! HA! After researching high quality rice cookers and pondering the instapot, I chose this one. I don't need pressure cooker. I need a rice cooker! And the fact that this has a ceramic insert versus a metal nonstick sealed my decision. That is really really great for long term health benefits and hard to find! I was also looking for a large capacity cooker and this fit the bill. So now, I start with 6 raw cups of rice and 12 cups of fluffy, non-gooey rice is waiting for me in about 20 minutes. My family cheers and my tramatic rice mess ups are a thing of the past! #goals

I had an Aroma Arc-2000 which I bought at Costco years ago. It served me well in the past years and was still working well. However, the nonstick coating of the inner pot started to peel off, which really made me uncomfortable although in reality this might be totally harmless at all. Anyway I started to search, hoping to find some rice cooker that does not use the traditional nonstick coating, and found this. It's a little bit more expensive than my budget. But I decided to give it a try for the ceramic inner pot. End of day, what can be safer than ceramics? Our ancestors already used it for a few thousand years at least. The ceramic rice cooker did not disappoint me. The ceramic inner pot has just about the right weight. Sturdy, but not too heavy. So far I have only used it to cook white rice. It did the job well. No more, no less. Cleaning is easy. And I don't have to remind myself be gentle with the nonstick coating anymore. One surprise is that I found unlike my old Arc-2000, after cooking rice, I don't find much rice residues on the inside of lid anymore. Cleaning the inside of lid on my old Arc-2000 used to be some real trouble because you cannot remove the lid from the cooker and I have to hold the whole cooker in arm while cleaning the inner side of lid under running water. Finally with my new ceramic rice cooker I don't have to go through this trouble anymore. Maybe it's because the ceramic inner pot transduces heat much slower than the old metal inner pot or some other reason, after cooking there is almost no rice residue left on the inner side of lid at all. Further the inner side of lid of my new ceramic rice cooker is actually covered by a metal plate, which can be removed easily and washed. The only small complaint I may have is that my new ceramic rice cooker does not have a condensed water collecter like the old Arc-2000. I always end up with a little bit condensed water dripped on the edge of the rice cooker when I open the lid. But the amount of condensed water is also way much less than the old rice cooker. Maybe this is why they remove the condensed water collecter from the new design? Anyway, in summary, although this ceramic rice cooker is a little bit more expensive than my original budget, the ceramic inner pot definitely makes me feel better and don't have to worry about ingesting the nonstick coating anymore. The build quality also looks good and I hope it can last me quite a few years like my old Arc-2000.

If you cook rice often, this is the best product I've found for this! I probably read 200 reviews of rice cooker products before I bought this, and I'm very happy with this purchase! This was more expensive than a cheap rice cooker, but it doesn't spit rice water all over the countertop like the cheap ones do! It also steams veggies, and it does other types of grains. I think you can make yogurt in this, too, but I haven't tried that yet. Unlike instant pots, it does not use pressure, so you don't have a bomb in your kitchen! The rice comes out perfect every time, and I really like that the rice pot is ceramic and not metal. It cleans up beautifully, it goes into the dishwasher, there's no rust, and it's safe to use! I'm very glad I bought this product!

I have used several less expensive Aroma rice cookers in the past and think this time the upgrade is worth the money. I have used same kind of rice to compare it with the old models. I personally think the ceramic inner pot makes the rice taste better. Besides better tatste, I also like its multi-function feature very much. This is very helpful for compact kitchen space. This one also has slow cooker and yogurt function. In the past I have bought a separate slow cooker and yogurt maker but now they are always inside my cabinet due to limited kitchen space. Now I can make yogurt and soups all from this one cookers. Really happy with this. If you are looking for cookers for mutiple functions, this all in one cooker should be a good choice.
