A Device for Cheers and Sometimes Despair
I had a bit of trouble in starting the device because I did not read your mail and the instructions carefully. It works as it should, and I am happy with it. I am at the age when one needs someone to remind one to take it with you when you leave your home. It is small so can be missed. On the other hand, the size is fine for carrying in pocket or attaching to belt or trousers. One problem is I cannot fake number of steps taken or distance traveled to fool my wife. I seem to have taken a lot of steps (possibly because I may have cheated on the length of my stride) and I just hope they lead somewhere! The calorie counter may be picking some homeless or stray calories on my routes because, my body does not accept any lost calories. I may have to walk other routes.

Excellent, sturdy, simple pedometer
UPDATE: It's now one year after my first review -- a year and a half after purchase -- and this little device is still going strong! The clip is grippy, the screen is easy to read, and it works great! A worthwhile product. I try to wait several months before reviewing anything so I can see how well the product holds up and how much I like it. I've had this little pedometer for six months now, and it has proven itself to be reliable, useful, and easy to use. It does just what I want it to do -- count steps. I don't care about apps that pester me to monitor how much water I drink, how many hours I sleep, or what I've eaten. This has very few buttons to set it up to show steps, miles, time, and a number of other things. And they show up one at a time on the large screen, so you aren't bombarded with information you don't need! The screen is easy to read. I clip it on my pants pocket and just tip it up with my hand as I walk to see how far I've gone. The clip is nice and secure, the whole item is small and solid and easy to carry in a pocketbook, and I've had zero problems with it. Once I thought it was broken -- some button got pushed and the little figure stopped walking -- but I found the email the company had sent with instructions and he was on the move again in no time. Thanks for a great product!

SC2 digital pedometer
I am 82 years of age, not computer literate. The. I was looking for a really simple pedometer that would capture my steps and mikes. I wanted nothing more than that. This tiny pedometer does exactly that. In addition the clip is strong, the dials large and easy to read. A perfect pedometer for me.

My new bestie
I am thrilled to have this. It keeps me up and moving. Every time I look to see how many steps it motivates me to walk more. I like how easy it is to read and set up. The follow up email was impressive and the price is well worth it. Sized right and the clip is strong to hold in place. I also like how it tells you how many calories you burned...what a nifty little gadget. I am very pleased!

Simple device that provides just what I need!
So a few weeks before buying this, I bought a FitBit One. I found it a ridiculously complicated piece of equipment, and sent it back the same day. I originally bought the Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer in 2010, but never used it. It was hard to see. But a few months ago, I gave it to my husband who has worn it non-stop. This made me want one again! I didn't have the heart to ask him for it back as he loves it so much. I did a lot of research and just couldn't find what I wanted. The newer Omron's didn't seem to have as much positive feedback as my old one, which was really expensive now. Then, I saw the OZO. The reviews convinced me to give it a try. And the fact that it seemed simple and easy and UNCOMPLICATED. I LOVE IT! I've been wearing it nearly every day. It was so easy to set up. The screen is as big, bright, and clear as the picture shows. OK, I did get a bit mixed up at first with the modes in searching for the step mode because it also shows you previous day's steps. :-) But that is not the product's fault! I love that it automatically resets every day. As for accuracy, once I understood that this pedometer, as it seems is true with most, doesn't count the first 15 steps, I was fine with it. I don't need a precise count of every step. I want to see the big picture of how many steps I'm doing over the course of the day. And the clip is really tight, so I don't worry that it will slip off. This pedometer is just perfect for me. I highly recommend it.

Best Pedometer Ever!!
This is the best purchase I've ever made! It was as described, provided the feedback as advertised, and was fairly easy to program. When I did have a question, it was answered very promptly; the company even sent me a PDF file before the item arrived to walk me through the set up. I have a friend I'm trying to urge to walk more so I may be buying another one for her. Don't hesitate, really. I bought this after buying a FitBit and another higher-end pedometer. This one is so much better!!

it's easy to use
rather accurate on the hip. you can plug in your stride length and other info to make it even more accurate. i got it to gauge how many steps i take at work and the distance walked. it's easy to use. you can switch between metric and standard .. and it stores several days worth of data. (cant recall exactly how many). i would buy it again if this one died... but i think it will last quite a while.

A nice reasonably priced pedometer
A nice reasonably priced pedometer. Good for average population. The supplier provides detail setup instruction and is easy to follow. It also includes a brief user manual on the welcoming email which helped me to get pedometer working on my trip. The story is like this: while on my trip suddenly I discovered the my pedometer stop counting the steps. Tried many ways and pushed different buttons couldn't get the "little man"on screen walking. In a panic, I remember the welcoming email I saved in my file, ( good thing I carried my iPad), attached to the email it mentioned to push and hold the mode button until the "little man"on the screen walking again. And that worked. I was very relieved. The pedometer starts to count the step again. Everything is working again. I am happy.

Personal Accuracy Tests You Might Find Helpful
I like all the features of this small, light-weight pedometer, but I was most interested in testing the accuracy when measuring steps. I played with many variables when testing, such as walking fast, walking slow, changing stride length, varying the speed of the steps within my sample, etc. I found none of these things really mattered when it comes to accuracy. What really matters, and significantly, is where you place this device. Here are my results: (1) In my pocket, accuracy was terrible. It could be off as much as 30%. (2) Clipped at various locations on my belt, or on the neckline of my shirt, results were quite good - inaccuracy was between 2-4%. However, when I placed the device on a lanyard around my neck, the results have been great - inaccuracy of less the 0.5%. That is extraordinary for what I understand is a one mechanical pendulum device. This morning I recorded five separate 400 step samples and took the step readings after each. Here were the readings: 402, 402, 401, 402, 400. In all 30+ tests I have run this week, the inaccuracy is always on the high side. In conclusion, if placed in a proper location, this is a very accurate and valuable tool for keeping track of your steps, miles, time duration, speed, and calories burned. It's cool and I hope I keep putting it to good use.

AWESOME COMPANY!
At first I had some problems getting my pedometer to register steps. Disgusted I arranged to return the product. Before had a chance to, I recieved a follow up e-mail making sure I was satisfied. I explained the situation in a reply & immediately got a response from David. Ended up the step program was set for pause. He explained fully on how to rectify it and VIOLA' it worked! More companies should follow their example of concern for satisfied customers. What a GREAT company to do business with! Thank you guys!
