Fit my apartment door with about 5 inches to spare. So far the glue is holding really well. My door is wooden if that makes any difference. I had a 1.5 inch gap under my door and this is working great.

Thick heavy plastic but soft enough to contour to the surface

Dont know about keeping insects out, but it sure stopped the incoming draft. We were hearing shrieking sounds coming from the front door, but just couldnt find where it was coming from. We know it was a draft coming in during windy days making the sounds and since sticking this thing on the door, the house stop being creepy. Its longer than your avg house door so you just trim it to fit. The glue will hold the heavy plastic on as long as you clean the surface before sticking it on. Dont worry about bending from the little bag it comes in, once you install it, it will stretch to fit just fine.

Works

It works preventing the cooking smells into the room and keep the room at its temperature, but is not a noise blocker. Works for us.

Great product!

Great product! Keeps the bugs out! Very thick and sturdy plastic. Could be a little sticker though since it starts to peel off on the edges but I don't think I could have found anything better.
