An Illuminating Solution To A Darkening Problem

My wife and I live in Southeast Louisiana (New Orleans) and have to be prepared to evacuate our home because of an approaching hurricane. Because of numerous natural "roadblocks" around us that limit the number of possible evacuation routes out of the city, such as the Mississippi River, Lake Pontchartrain and other connected lakes, bayous, swamps and wetlands, it is of critical importance for us to pre-plan and know how to drive to our primary or secondary evacuation routes, as well as how to get to emergency back-up evacuation routes we can take to get out of the city. There are also only three possible evacuation directions in New Orleans; west (to family in Houston, TX), east (to family in Athens, GA), or north (to family in Louisville, KY). In case of bumper-to-bumper traffic jams that slow the progress of your evacuation to a crawl, or even a complete stop in the event of a multiple-vehicle accident, vehicles' engines overheating and stalling, or vehicles running out of fuel because the driver forgot to fill-up before leaving, having those multiple escape routes in all three directions is a must. To help with that process, I prefer to use the most current Rand McNally State road maps in their "Easy-to-Fold" style because they are covered with a heavy duty plastic that you can write on with erasable color markers to highlight the specific evacuation routes with one color for primary routes, a different color for secondary routes, and a third color for emergency escape routes that might have less traffic than the better known and regularly used routes. As my birthday cakes continue to crowd more and more candles on their top, growing brighter and brighter with the passing of time, my eyesight, unfortunately, seems to be getting dimmer and dimmer. I now need at least 3X power magnification to be able to see and read the road maps clearly, and if it is at night or overcast daytime weather when I'm using these maps. Very Bright & Clear

I"m very pleased with this magnifier. It really works well in enlarging the printed word. I love the bright light it provides. I bought this because I couldn't get a particular book in 'large print'. I try to get books in large print now or I down load it to my Kindle. I only wish there was a strap or something available to eliminate having to hold it.

I can read the newspaper with the lights low! The print is very clear! So wonderful to not have to strain my 68 year old eyes anymore. Easy to install the three AAA batteries. I love this magnifier! I can easily read books again. The off and on switch for the light is easy to use also! Buy this! I am already purchasing my second one--so I can have one in several rooms of the home!

Lightweight and bright - perfect!

Purchased a few days ago for my 88 year-old Mom with macular degeneration. It's perfect. It's lightweight enough she has no problem holding it up for extended periods of time and the adjustable brightness of the LEDs makes it easy on her eyes. She's so thrilled she can read a newspaper again, as well as the mystery novels she still enjoys. WHY didn't I do this before now???

Life magnified

This magnifier works extremely well! I wear glasses and still feel blind when I’m reading so this is coming in handy since I have a TON of reading coming up!

Very bright.

This is lightweight and easy to handle. You will have to hold it in one hand, but for something being read on a table or desk, it's perfect. We bought it for my mom to use when she's working at her desk. The lights are bright and easy to dim. I like that it's not made of flimsy material. I thought the email from the manufacturer was a nice touch. It is smaller than I originally thought, but I don't think I read it carefully enough.

Magnipos 3X magnifier.

The magnifier is big enough to use as a book reader, PC screen magnifier, etc. without being too big. My wife loves it. The led lights are adjustable and spaced around the frame to give plenty of light to the document you are reading. This is just the thing to read the small print on documents, medicine bottles, etc.

Works So Well

I am so pleased with this magnifier. The LED lights make it particularly useful, regardless of the light available in the room. The magnifier is light weight and gives me exactly the amount of magnification that I need. I wish it worked when lying flat on a page, but I knew prior to buying it that this wasn't possible. I need to take notes as I read, so I may try making "legs" for it so that it can rest on a book and still give me the magnification that I need.
