Use in a 2 gang box with the Leviton 2 gang 1 blank plate
I had an analog/incadesent light dimmer in combination with my fan controller. The dimmer was failing. Insert this switch, and whala. I can now use LED bulbs with this dual purpose dimmer/fan controller. Installation was super easy with this no-neutral controller switch. But wait! 1 controller in a 2 gang box? Insert the Leviton face plate. Problem solved. Fan Control / Light Dimmer install
Product arrived in a very timely manner. I purposefully purchased this switch array for the reason that the switch that was installed had broke and was aesthetically unpleasant. 1) Product arrived as advertised 2) Product was in original packaging 3) Product took 15 minutes to install 4) Product works as advertised. I would not recommend this to a novice, I chose to not secure the breaker from the main junction and received mild jolts of electricity. Not the products fault, just impatient. After rewire and face-plate install, product does exactly as it says it does. I am satisfied with my care. Home Depot was charging more for this item. I only had to wait a day and saved $$$. I will update for any changes in status. As for now, those stars stand...

The right choice!
I recently had a ceiling fan installed and opted for a rather generic switch from Amazon. Very disappointed because the switch would not dim an LED light, which it claimed to do. Then I replaced it with this Lutron Maestro Fan Control and Light Dimmer. What a difference! This is a high-quality switch that works perfectly with the LED bulb in the Westinghouse fan. Light dims about 90% which is what I need. Fan controls are easy to use. Best part is the switch installed quickly and easily. Super easy instructions and markings on the switch that tell you which wire is for the fan and which is for the light. It's a little more expensive than the generics but really, not a big deal. This is the perfect single-pole switch for a ceiling fan. Oh, and it looks good too.

Best & Most Affordable Ceiling Fan & Light Control!
Excellent controls in the hands of a good electrician! It should be emphasized that for this control to operate, old electrical light fixture boxes must be modified/retrofitted to account for an ADDED ceiling fan wire. Specifically separate wires for the ceiling fan AND ceiling fan lights must run from the controller to the ceiling fan & lights. For rehabbers, cut through your home's walls and ceilings BEFORE painting and finishing! That said, these are really cool controls! Oh by the way, the Lutron controls via Amazon were 40% cheaper than at my favorite Big Box hardware store.

Electricians Pick
Electrician recommended (half a dozen electrical masters over 30 years) this is the top rated hard wired fan control. This is for fan boxes hard wired with 14/3 wire (black, white, red) between the box and the switch. This is not remote control junk, this is a professional grade direct wire dimmer/soeed control. The speed setting can be trimmed to account for variations in fans

Good controller for my ceiling fans with LED lights
I was hesitant to try this for my ceiling fans. They are all three speeds. This switch says it is four speeds. The fan instructions state they are only designed to run at three speeds. Reading through the questions section here, led me to believe I had nothing to worry about so I gave this a shot. I'm glad I did. I couldn't find a similar controller for a fan that supports LEDs and three speed fans. The installation was as straightforward as any other ceiling fan switch installation. The controller is easy to use and works well. The LED dimming works without any problem. There is no flickering of the bulbs. I'm really happy with the light output range of the bulbs with this switch. They put out plenty of light at full power yet dim to a really low levels at the lowest setting. The fan control works well on all my three speed fans. Just leave each fan on its highest setting. The controller takes care of the rest. So far no complaints.

Easy to install and works very well
Easy to install and works very well. A warning is included to use fully dimmable LED bulbs. I tried Philips and LEDERA but they were not fully dimmable. LOHAS led say they are fully dimmable and they work well. I've noticed they are no longer available. They are expensive but they work. The fan is a Westinghouse 7813665. It's a 3 speed fan but the switch turns the fan into a 4 speed fan. The fan lights dim from very low to maximum bright. The fan recommends only 25 watt bulbs but I put in 60 watt equivalent LED with a 6 watt rating. The switch has LED scales for both the fan and the light which is very convenient.

Love the convenience of 2-in-1 switches
I got these when I installed a new fan in my kids rooms. I love that I didn’t have to install a new box to fit two dimmer switches, and I like that the lights support the LED and CFL bulbs. I did notice that with the LED bulbs, I am still unable to dim the lights to the lowest levels without the lights flickering like a strobe. It could be the quality of the bulbs, but I hope to never find out since these are supposed to last 20+ years, right?

Highly Recommend!
This control is a great one. I was having new ceiling fans installed because I'm extra - the old wall remote stopped working so I figured it was a great time to change the fan and the remote. I read reviews online (other than Amazon ones) and these were still highly recommended. They were a little less expensive than Home Depot with better delivery options! I already had an electrician at my house for other work so he installed the fan and this switch. Watching him, it went in easily. It is easy to use. Dims at good intervals. I like the "sleep" function where it gradually dims prior to turning off allowing me to leave the room and not be in total darkness to stumble to the stairs. The fan speed levels are good as well. However, I don't use the fan in the winter so the real test will come in a month or two when summer comes to Arizona! There is a reason this is such a highly rated switch. It works, easy to use, and easy to install.

Finally! My LEDs can turn off COMPLETELY!
Yes!! I was running a Maestro MA-L3S25-TC with a handful of LED Sunco gimbal 12W recessed lights and a Hunter fan and the LED lights would never completely dim. I looked around for "resistor" solutions but didn't want to install one in-line of the rest of my wiring. I'm glad I did wait! This new MACL-LFQ-WH does EXACTLY what I wanted a double switch to do AND MORE. The top switch works as an instant on/off for whatever position you last left it on via the dimmer level switch. Perfect. The bottom switch not only turns the fan on and off but it can control the SPEED of the fan at three levels... MAGIC! If you're looking for a double switch that can handle LEDs, you've found your solution. I included the name of my amazon purchased LEDs above in case you're looking for a 6" gimbal LED that definitely works with this switch. It wasn't on Lutron's list of compatible lights but it works and works well! Whoo hoo!!
