At first I thought it did not work, but I soon realized I was entering the fax number wrong.. You must dial in this format: + (000) 000-0000. When I did that my fax went through without a problem. So really all you do is plug it in the USB port and mine was instantly recognized . It’s just this simple. There are no downloads. I have win 10.

Small, Simple and works as advertised. Plugged it in, plugged in a phone line then used native windows 10 fax software to send / receive faxes. A bit odd not hearing a dial tone or fax squelches but the visual status on the screen works fine

I'm running Mac OS X 10.11.6, and this USB modem works great. I did not need to install any drivers. I fired up Z-Term, opened the usb12345671 device, set my baud rate to 57600, and everything works. atdt8002584660 CONNECT 57600 +---------------------------------------+ : Heights BBS (BOT Zapper) : : By Dan Fitzgerald of Future World II : +---------------------------------------+ To enable caller ID, you need to send the "AT+VCID=1" command. Apparently, this feature was removed in OS X 10.12. However, if your printer has fax capabilities, you might be able to fax from your Mac through your printer. Anyway, if you're still using 10.11, though, just open System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, and click on the + to add the modem as a fax device. Now every time you print, you can choose the fax modem as a device. You can sign up for a free fax account with efax.com to test it, if necessary.

Best thing i ever bought, turns my computer into a fax machine, easy to use, plug one end into the computer and plug the other end into a phone line. it doesn't come with instructions so took me a while to figure out that to add a file i had to go through print and select fax for it to convert the document to send but now i know its easy.

Es muy bueno, mi mama está muy contenta con el

I have to send a lot of reports to several different types of assisted living facilities. Mostly they can accept email these days but a few of them aren't allowed or don't even know how to use email that isn't on a smart phone. In any case, it seems weird, as an old laptop user, that I have to buy a separate fax modem. However, this is inexpensive and plug and play for Win10. A caveat is that the installation disabled my Dell VPN on my work laptop so I now have to send faxes from my personal laptop. This unit works with Windows Fax and Scan with virtually no setup. The Obi has two jacks so I can keep this fax modem connected at all times and then just plug it into the laptop USB port when needed. Very satisfied overall.

to my surprise this worked immediately. I plugged in the USB jack into my Windows 10 Laptop and there was no indication anything was connected. I then ran Windows Fax and Scan (instructions on the internet) and it immediately recognized the fax modem. My phone line is fax capable and I connected it to the fax modem. I then sent a test document to a known fax machine. It took a few minutes to send 6 pages but it worked will. The software Windows Fax and send is free with window and is a good interface to use with this device. The drivers for this fax modem appear to be in Windows 10. For the occasional fax I need to send this is perfect.

Works with Windows 10, Very easy to setup。

Sends faxes well over my VoIP home phone. This will save me time and money since I will no longer need to go to the FedEx store to use their fax machine!

I bought this to access gmail with a NetZero dialup account, in a remote location that had neither broadband nor cell service. The modem worked great, no hassle at all. I was able to get my gmails. But there is no escaping, dialup is s-l-o-w.
