Slinky and light with excellent connecting hardware. Tapered hose fitting to small for handle bracket easily remedied
If you have not already installed a hose equipped shower handle in your home, please consider it. It makes cleaning the nether nooks and crannies much easier. The feel and look is ultralightweight and high quality, with well chromed brass hardware. I used the included washers on both sides. t was installable with only some of my teflon tape (applied clockwise stretched for 3/4 layers over the wall outlet pipe, and a 10 inch crescent wrench used to go a little bit past hand tight. The externally tapered hose fitting which fits on the handle (mine is a delta plastic) should only be hand tightened on my shower handle so that was easy This external surface was smaller than the original, so, to make it work with the existing holding bracket, I pulled out some very high quality grey electrical tape gave it a few stretched wraps and it works fine. Not supermodel looks, but I am all about function, not as much about gloss. I might put a thin layer of onto the entire working surface of the holding bracket for a completely elegant look. This hose is light and slinky like fine jewelery, so I can see that the hose might break where it goes into the fitting near the shower handle (greatest point of flex). Anybody working at the extreme extension of this hose and then brutally turing the handle to a high angle of flex could probably ruin it quickly, and this practice, or bad design could be the reason for bad reviews. That will bear watching. (Some sort of stress relief like a spring or a tapered rubber fitting might be required by way of a redesign.) This 79 inch hose is very long so that there is no reational reason for such brutal use but obviously trodlodytes are still amongst us. If a person is switching off the water flow after the hose with a switch (really a valve) on the showerhead handle, I believe such use is beyond the design of this or any hose I have seen except for the ones used for a sprayer in a commercial dishwasher station (which had a spring at the handle) If you want a shut off valve, put it in line before the hose to lessen the stress. Pleople should do this, it's good for reduction of water use. I will review in one year, and again when it breaks. My Delta plastic hose lasted 15 years. If this one lasts as long that will be great..

Fantastic and well constructed
This is FANTASTIC. A while back we bought a new flexible shower head / hose. The head was OK but the hose was as 'stiff as a board' and smelled. My wife is physically challenged and had a hard time with the head and maneuvering the hose. Even I did. That prompted us to buy this hose (keeping the new head) and it solved the problem. In one home we have a tub with a shower chair and in our other home there is a shower with a shelf seat. The length of the hose reaches both of these with ease and without having to stretch the hose and it is extremely flexible. This type of hose beats the ordinary PVC hoses that are either too short or very stiff. I cannot speak highly enough about this hose and wish that in the past I had converted previous shower heads with this product. UPDATE...All of a sudden it began to leak where it attaches to the shower head. It was NOT LOOSE OR THE WASHER BEING BAD. The leak is somewhere where the fitting attaches to the hose. The hose was never abused or stretched and was always handled gently. Thankfully I had saved the old PVC hose that had originally come with the shower head. So much for the 5 star rating.

What I was looking for
The hose is working great for me. Handheld shower heads holders come in different sizes so I was concerned that this extension hose might not allow the handheld to fit properly into its holder. Fortunately, everything fit OK (or at least good enough in my case) and is working for me. The hose was easy to install and I got no water sipping through the connection points at the first try! The quality of the material seems very good. Let's see what happens over time.

Nice Taint-reaching ability
Hose fits for water flow and allows the shower head to lay on the floor, can shoot out the bathroom door and get the wife now.. the Waterpik shower head connection point is smaller than stock hose so it will be a little loose while Head is stagnant on mount. No big deal cuz you won't be putting the shower head down often ;)

Functions well, easy to install
It's a bit longer than what I had, which works well. The tapered end that fits into the wall holder is knurled slightly, which I prefer over the previous one that had heavy knurling that made it actually grip and bite into the wall holder causing it to wear prematurely. Hose inside seems stiff enough that it should hold up well, only time will tell though.

Perfect size!
I purchased this hose because the one that my new showerhead came with was way too short & the hose I had on the last one was too long & would get tangled on the water spout below it. It's the perfect length for washing pets and rinsing out the tub. I used a bit of plumbers tape and it connected well with no leaks. The hose itself seems pretty sturdy. I've had it for a few months now and no issues.

Works great for hand held shower heads
We've had this for almost 8 months now and it is still working as good as day one. Mom grabbed this one so she could run the shower head to the other/back side of the tub/shower. We have a big square rain shower head that pretty much took up a lot of space in the front area, making hardly any room for a hand held shower head, which would save money on the water bill. So she got this and ran it to the back side of the tub and now if we want the rain head we use it on the one side and if we want the shower head instead we use the other side. It's not an expensive shower set up but it works great. The hose is flexible and works for what we need it for. Will buy again

Doesn't feel too durable but it works
No issues so far in the short time that I have owned and used this product. It is very light which gives it a cheaper feeling than the heavy, durable versions, however there have been no problems (leaks, breaking, etc.). It's really the hose inside the conduit that I hope will hold up over time. I will update if anything changes but I am happy with the product so far.

Excellent, Supple, Easy to Install Replacement Handheld Showerhead Hose !
I had the feeling that the original hose that came with the American Standard (brand) Handheld Showerhead was annoyingly rigid. It was difficult to manipulate as it stubbornly wanted to refuse to rotate or bend easily. Now I can understand just how bad it is, or was now that it is retired, because this replacement hose is AMAZINGLY supple. This new metal hose moves, rotates, hangs with hardly any effort at all ! If you have done your research, you will have learned, as I have, that the poorest material for shower hose is PVC which is the rigid stuff that I had originally. Some of the reviews complained about leakage, but I experienced none at all so far. In addition, although there are no instruction come with the unit whatsoever (this is not good), the Amazon page has some nice diagrams showing how the parts at each end go together. I wondered which end goes to the Handheld Showerhead and which to the water supply. Hand tightening is fine for both ends, but if your water pressure is ultra high you may want to apply a little extra manual tightening, but be sure not to overdo it. When you received the hose, each end will be capped by a blue plastic protective end cap (used for shipping only). Don't try to pry it loose, it has thread and therefore, you simply need to unscrew it ! ! ! ! Overall I rate this 5 stars because it actually does what it claims, it is the perfect length, super well made, and it is easy to install. The suppleness and length makes this a million times better than the horrible PVC tubing that most hand held shower head manufacturers supply. Last of all I found that this product has the best rating of all the products in this category. At first I thought that since size of the Connection "Head" and the threads are the same, it apparently makes no difference, even though the shape of the "Heads" are somewhat different. In fact I was wrong because, it is the tapered "head" that should connect to the handheld showerhead in order to fit the original holder, or the alternate Vacuum Mount Holder, that I use positioned lower on wall of the shower. Fortunately I got it right the first time, without being clearly aware of why I made that choice.
