Excellent quality, great strap, easily cleaned & stops pet messes

I have a small black dog and one cat, both of whom cannot get on the couch (my rule). I needed a recliner cover that was durable, looked good and had a secure strap. The other one I previously bought on Amazon was nice, but didn't have the strap. My dog was constantly pawing down the back of that cover, making the cover useless to keep pet hair and messes off of my recliner. The cat has an irritated colon (she's 11 yrs old). As a consequence, she is known to have nasty accidents. Covers that can be washed are essential. This black cover with it's excellent material and generous strap has saved my sanity and my recliner many times recently. The first day I put it on, the cat had an accident on it. I washed and dried it (dried on low) and it looked new again. The next week my dog threw up on it. Again, this cover came out of the dryer wonderfully; the backing was not bunched and didn't come apart. I tuck the bottom part into the recliner when I'm not using it. This cover is a bit larger than I needed, but it had the best consistent reviews. I can tuck in the sides and arms of the cover in different places to give my recliner a more "neat" look. As far as absorbing water, I cannot comment. But I can tell you that dog puke and cat poo have not soaked through at all! In between the nasty episodes, all I need to do is use a sticky roller daily to get the pet hair off and put it on air fluff in the dryer with two wool dryer balls (I use lavender essential oil on them because it's not harmful). The cover is not soft, but it's certainly not crunchy or uncomfortable. It has softened some from being washed. I have had this cover two months now. Please read the measurements for this cover because the strap, while excellent, is not very long. A big two-seater recliner might not work well with this cover. I usually wait to write a review until I have had time to see how a product works or fits. I read detailed reviews, especially for something I have not purchased before. I hope you do as well. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this cover!

Extra wide sofa cover for Ektorp sofa

I was looking for a sofa cover to use when we are out of town. (Our dog NEVER gets on the furniture when we are in town, but as soon as we head to the airport she's on the couch. I have no clue how she always knows!) We have an Ikea Ektorp couch, and most of the covers I saw seemed unlikely to be long enough. I also wanted one that was easy to wash and in a color that was tolerable for my living room. This one matches surprisingly well, although I have no intention of using it when we are home, and it is just about perfect in width for my couch. The elastic strap comes detached, but hooks on kind of like a convertible bra strap. It was just long enough. Time will tell whether it will stretch out or not. The arm covers do not have any way to attach to anything, they just drape over. Because my couch has the chaise, I had to modify the cover to fit - I cut it and rebound the new edge with premade binding from Joanns. Overall not too difficult or expensive to do given that I have a sewing machine. I have washed it twice in cold water and tumbled dry on low for a few minutes, and then hung it over a railing to dry completely. It did not shrink noticeably. The fabric is not quite as nice as cotton, but it's not bad. If you are concerned about a waterproof cover, I do not believe it would do more than buying you a few seconds to clean up a spill. If you hold it up to the light you can see straight through all the needle holes from the quilting. Overall I am happy with this purchase. It keeps the dog hair and footprints off my couch, washes easily and I don't feel bad asking the dog sitter to sit on it the whole time :)

A+++ Highly Recommended

These are great! High quality, look great, and so easy to clean. Wash and dry on gentle and you're golden! They are generously sized but look like they were made just for our couch and chair. They are very easy to adjust and shift very minimally with use. (See picture for my husband's imprint from sitting! Just needs to be straightened back out) They provide a great level of coverage and protect from our dogs constantly jumping on and off the furniture. They feel nice and look so great. We plan to buy more sets and retire the waffle throws we've been using for years. Highly recommend these!

not hunter green color as stated

I purchased 2 of these covers for my extra wide sofas. The color I chose was hunter green. Upon receiving, I noticed the color is actually lawn green and not the dark green hunter color, shown in the pics. Even though I am disappointed that it is not the color stated and shown in the pics, the overall quality of these covers were made very well and the texture of the material is also very well constructed. Except for the color not being hunter green, overall, I do like these covers.

Perfect!

I gave durability and easy to clean a 4 because I don't know yet (just put them on my sofas today). They fit my sofas well, covered the cushions, arm rests, and front of the sofas well. Very easy to put on, so it will be just as easy to take off. (Obviously not a cover you'd leave on when guests comes over) I'm not using the included staps because my sofas are small so the entire sofa is covered well by the covers and enough extends over the back to keep them in place. Listed measurements are true to size. If you are between sizes I'd go with the bigger size. That's what I did and I'm glad I did - better to have the entire sofa covered and a little extra fabric rather than leaving a portion of the sofa exposed.

Surprised

I just received this today. After removing the cover I wash it right away. It had the ‘new’ smell to it. It wash and dried nicely. I have a Lay z boy reclining loveseat which a bit bigger than a regular loveseat so I ordered the couch cover and it fits perfect. The elastic band has enough give that it was no problem securing it around the back of the furniture. Doesn’t get too hot when sitting on it and covers the entire loveseat nicely while protecting the material from my 2 dogs who like to snuggle and wrestle on my furniture. Definitely worth the price.

Simple to use, easy to clean

Seriously love this thing. Keep it on our couch in the living room that inevitability turns into the dog's bed every night when we aren't looking. We have a great dane and he sheds. ALOT. This protects the couch, and when we have company over it's such a breeze to take off and throw it in the washer. Before we were washing the cushion covers individually, and trying to pick off the coarse dog hair was a pain. Highly recommend for the price. Definitely made my life easier!

I’m glad I got the larger recliner cover; it give me plenty of material to tuck. 👍🏼 The color is as picture shows 👍🏼 This is the third one I’ve purchased. The other two are for smaller recliners. One small cover had the elastic, but it broke; it might have been too small. The other small cover didn’t have any elastic. I like the idea of elastic, so I plan on buying and sewing it on them.

Worth buying

I got them this morning, the material is thick it matches my couches. I bought the extra lg cover for a 3 cushion couch if fits like the picture, I don’t think a regualar sofa would fit. I bought the sofa size for a two cushion couch, it’s to big for the couch it covers the entire couch how I wanted it’s a bit to big but it does not bother me. Hope pictures help.

~~Finally...I found one that works....!!~~

You have no idea how many problems that I have had with ones that I bought previously. One had too much material and I was constantly pulling it up from behind the cushions. Then, I bought one that was too small. I also ended up using a sheet with towels underneath the sheet....Finally , this one fits well and so far, so good. The material is a quilt type fabric and appears to be durable. Haven't washed it yet but if there are problems will edit my review. I have not put the strap around the top of the cushions and not sure that I will. The fit is perfect for my sofa and as you can see from the picture, the material for the front of the cushions is tucked in underneath the cushions. The material on the arm rests also fits perfectly. An added bonus is that my Boxer pups won't be able to 'poke' items behind the cushions any more... That is a real plus for me. Could not be more pleased and wish I had purchased this cover many months ago. Most highly recommended for fit, material and the pups also approve of it...
