Very nice complete kit with great instructions and an indispensable magnetic screw mat

I've done a few of these screen replacements since the iPhone 3GS days and not only was this a complete LCD kit to replace the broken screen for my iPhone SE - included pentalobe/phillips screwdrivers, nice set of very fine tweezers, etc - but the best accessory I have every gotten in one of these iPhone LCD replacement kits; a 100% scale picture magnet screw mat that showed all the phone parts that needed to be disassembled and allowed you to stick the tiny little screws directly to the exact place they came off the phone. That part alone took so much of the stress off around losing the tiny screws, on which i normally use scotch tape. I can't speak to the long term quality of the part but it looks great right now. One thing to be very, very careful with is when pulling off the old screen. Mine was stuck fast and I couldn't pull it up from the middle. I ended up putting the suction cup on one side and was able to work it free but didn't stop quickly enough to keep the home button cable from tearing.

Good quality tools and instructions, overall a nice kit

This kit has almost everything you need to replace your iPhone screen. All of the included tools are a good to high quality making the swap easy. They include a magnetic holder for all of the screws that has a layout for the placement of the screws. This helped to keep everything organized and made the guess work disappear. The only issue I had with the kit is the suction cup that was supposed to help pull the screen up was flimsy I do not think it would for worked well even if my screen wasn’t cracked all over. I had to pull out one of my picks to get the screen up enough for the plastic wedges to work. My background is with repairing electronics so this was no where near my first screen replacement on an Apple device. This kit did make it a fairly easy swap. My time was about 2 hours for the replacement. I mucked with the suction cup for about 45 minutes and I also needed to replace my battery which also added time. Take the time to follow the instructions on testing the screen before putting everything back together. It saves you from taking it apart again if you miss a connection or get a finger print on the front camera. So far no issues with the new screen.

I had bought a more expensive screen and it was defective upon delivery and I was desperately seeking a screen that was as close to oem as possible. Well I needed it in 24 hours so I read the reviews of this screen and felt obviously hesitant to pay for another screen in a weeks time but wow this screen has great picture and i have worked on iPhones for over 2 years and it was a breeze! My favorite part is that it came with a screw mat! The tools were generic plastic junk like other places give you and they send a real spudger instead of a flimsy guitar pic. Done in 15 min and has been working flawlessly since! Thank you!

Great iPhone 6 Screen Replacement

My 13 year old daughter dropped her iPhone 6 (3 years old and first drop of any phone she had) and I have repaired other phones for friends and family. I have tried different brands and they tend to be about the same. This screen is great quality and was just as easy to fix as any of the others I have used. The reason why I feel this one was better is the tools that it came with. They are of much higher quality than any of the other brands I used. Pros: Great Quality Great Tools Easy to Install (if you know what you are doing) Cons: None I can think of.

Step-by-step guide and tools were top notch.

I normally don't bother with reviews. However, this was really a great kit. The step by step instructions were clear and easy to understand, and the tools were really a step above anything I would have expected from a replacement kit. I have ditched all of the other crappy tools I've received with phone repairs in the past, and just kept these. The packaging and presentation was great, and the replacement screen is so far working just like the original. Well worth the extra money over some of the other replacements out there. There was no compensation or other concessions provided for this review. I just was thrilled with the results and the kit, and want to share.

I have changed screens and glass and batteries for almost every type of IPhone, IPad and several of my Samsung phones. I have to say that the quality of packaging, tools and visual aids that I found inside this box have made me smile when I first opened it. Absolutely stunned!! If I was doing this for myself I wouldn't have done it any better. As I said I have seen others and compared to this , actually I take it back.... No comparison. I like the fact that EVERY tool you might need comes with it. You do not need to have any tools. The magnetic mat with screw locations is lovely idea that I have read about, but this is the first time I actually get one and it is very convinient. THe screws don't get lost all over and it kind of makes it easy to show where every screw should go instead or relying on your memory. I would have been happier if the spudger could have been a little sturdier, but it has not failed, it did all it should do. The only issue was when I was cleaning up the old adhesive, its tip was crooked and made it a little harder to do the cleaning. The instructions were right on the spot, didn't miss a thing. I followed the instructions and I was done in 40 minutes. I have seen cheaper screens, but this screen has changed my mind about using them ever again. I highly recommend this product to everyone.I am really happy with this product.

Great quality!!!

I thought that this would be a difficult task to accomplish but with the video link they send you it was actually not bad. From what i have seen on the internet this screen comes with a lot more. I didn't have to take off any of the actual screen hardware that some had to transfer to the new screen. Saved me a lot of time!! It took me about 60-90 minutes to do. I watched the video first all the way through and then went step by step. It was actually easy just takes a lot of patience. The screen works great so far. Only two days in and no problems. It is my son's iPhone so it will be put to the test quickly. ;) I recommend this screen for anyone needing to replace one.

I had already replaced the screen on my wife's 5SE a year and a half ago with a competitor's product, and it was wholly inadequate. Surprisingly, I paid about the same price as I paid for this. But I got way more value out of the YPLANG screen kit. For starters, the accompanying tools were of very good quality. Not pictured in this ad is a pair of very precise tweezers which made a huge difference in getting screws out. The kit also includes a magnetic mat which was very useful in keeping screws organized and making sure the screws went back into the right holes. Lastly, the instructions were sufficiently detailed that just about anyone with fingers, eyeballs, and an ability to follow simple instructions can replace their screen. The only issue I had was when re-inserting the screen, there was some interference with the top tabs and the vibrator module. I overcame this by inserting the screen at an angle, top first, then holding the top portion firmly in place with my thumb and forefinger pinched across the top of the phone while slowly rotating the top into place. Once everything was snapped in, I did a full function check including calling my phone. Frankly, if you have an iPhone 5SE with a cracked screen, or even if you're just thinking of changing colors, then I recommend this kit above all others.

After doing some research before ordering, Ive read some people struggle with repair or had additional trouble. Some mentioned about it being too sensitive or not enough. I have not noticed a single difference from my original screen and this one. The kit came with everything i needed to do a complete repair. There were actually some tools it came with that i never used. Now about the repair itself, not so much the product. It definitely wasn't extremely simple. I referred to 2 different youtube videos back and forth, was probably overly cautions. I was worried I would mess something up beyond repair. The video said "fix screen in 4 minutes", took me about 2 hours. One of the hardest parts is getting the screen off. The kit comes with a suction cup but its not so easy to do. It would continuously pop off the screen before I could get any leverage to get the tool (guitar pick looking plastic piece) under the edge. Since there is little room to hold the phone without pushing the screen back on, i even turned it on by accident a few times. Then the worst part for me was getting off the "Home Button" from my broken screen. This was probably more so just unlucky for me, but the 2 screws holding it on were so tight that I stripped them getting it off.

I bought this to replace the cracked screen on my old iPhone 6 that I use for music in my truck. The first one arrived defective but the seller took care of it without delay. They way they handled the situation was VERY impressive. It is NOT complete like some other plug & play versions so be sure you start with a complete phone (camera components, home button, rear plate, screws, etc NOT included). I prefer reusing the factory home button though as these knock off brands that include one are NOT fingerprint compatible. It also comes with a full color magnetic pad for screw management. One screw installed incorrectly can cause damage to internal components so it's a very nice addition to the set that I have not seen with kits I've installed in the past. As mentioned, the phone the screen is installed on is kept in my truck. Significance being that I live in Alaska & it's been well below freezing. I DO NOT have a plug in type interior heater so when the truck is not running, the cab is cold. It has been in service for a couple of months now without issue. I have had others in the past that have issues with the LCD freezing, rendering them inoperable. As the headline points out, the picture quality of the screen is NOT anywhere near the quality of a factory Apple screen but for the price, can't beat it. There is also some noticeable trailing when swiping through screens, pictures, etc but all things considered, a non-issue. ALL tools needed & then some are included. Follow the instructions (by that I mean READ & FULLY understand before starting, don't just look at the pictures.) & you'll save a nice chunk of change paying someone else to fix or buying a new phone. Overall, very happy with the purchase. NOTE: I have replaced screens on at least 10 iPhone 6's & 7's so comments above come with a bit of experience to back them.
