Works great! After traveling for a month thru south east ...
Works great! After traveling for a month thru south east asia using only a neck strap, I knew I need something better. Peak design slide lite was the answer. the strap is comfortable and secures my camera in place. When on vacation, you are able to go out and about without having to worry about you camera or hurting your neck after carrying for hours. I attached a camera cover to keep protected of any bumps, since i wear the strap diagonally and sometimes let the camera rest on my lower back.

Quality, style, & performance
I bought the Slide Lite to go with my new Sony a6500 mirrorless camera. For me, the width of the strap is just right both functionally and aesthetically. It feels secure and sits comfortably either around my neck or as a sling strap (I don’t use it over one shoulder because that seems like the least secure method to me). The strap width of the Leash Lite is proportional to the size of my Sony which is more compact than a full-size DSLR. The black seat belt strapping material itself is very high quality. The sliding adjustment buckles in gun metal gray and the subtle red accents give it a handsome yet understated style. Style points are important to me. One prominent review here mentions a loosening of the base plate that goes into your camera’s tripod screw hole. This product comes with a rubbery gasket pad that is designed to add a compression/friction fit. However, even when I used that properly and really beared down on the screw, I found that it loosened a bit in a short time. It never loosened more than a 1/8 turn, but it made me nervous. I will be checking that routinely and will also see if I can find a small lock washer to keep that screw tight. I should add that I use a leather half case on my a6500. This case attaches to the camera through the same hole, and provides another “piggy back” hole for use on a tripod. Bottom line, I’m attaching the Slide Lite’s base plate to the hole on the leather case, not the camera. It may work perfectly if attached directly to the camera’s screw hole but that’s not my situation. I’m sticking with 5 stars in my rating because I’m not using the product exactly as intended, and because my issue is easily resolved by spending a few pennies on a lock washer. The Slide Lite stays on my camera almost all the time. I don’t take it off each time I put it into its case. I use an Amazon Basics sling bag and there’s just enough room for me to fit the camera and lens in there and push the loose strap in the remaining space. Other reviews say that the strap material is too stiff. Just go to your car and feel the seat belt material. If you believe that’s too stiff, then don’t be surprised when you receive your Slide Lite, because it will feel the same. To me, it’s perfect and exactly what I expected. Enough has been said to describe the design of the proprietary Anchor Link system. I will just add that my one concern before purchasing was the strength of the cords on each Anchor Link button. However when I received it and felt the stiffness and strength of that cord material, I was satisfied. It is easily sufficient for the weight of my camera even with a large lens attached. In fact it’s not just sufficient, it’s overkill but in a good, confidence-inspiring way. This is a fine product that will create additional pride of ownership every time you use it with your camera(s). To me, the price point was appropriate to the level of quality and styling it delivers. I expect to enjoy this Slide Lite for a long time.

Love it!
My first Peak Design Strap. I use it for the first time, this weekend on a photo shot.. Outdoor sports photography. Use it on a Panasonic G9.. It looks great, but more importantly worked flawlessly. Camera was at my hip and ready to shoot as needed. The slide was prefect. Shot over 300 action shots with this system yesterday and the strap was never a problem. Very comfortable.

High quality versatile strap!
In addition to the Slide Lite strap I have a Peak Design wrist strap. Both are outstanding and on the right camera can readily be swapped as the need arises due to the excellent attachment quick release system. I shoot film. I generally carry 2 to 3 camera bodies since I can't change ISO or b&w vs color on the fly. I don't need a strap on all the cameras all the time. With additional attachments for the strap I can swap bodies on/off the strap rather than carrying 3 cameras with 3 straps all the time. This might not seem like a big issue, but 3 cameras with 3 straps takes up considerably more space in a bag than do 3 cameras with a single strap. While I have only had this strap for a short period of time I have used it for 2 or more continuous hours on 3 different occasions and found it to be comfortable with a full size professional body SLR. The nylon is smooth with well placed texture points to prevent excessive slipping on one side allowing a choice of smooth or non-slip surface. The option of using standard strap attachment points or the tripod mount depending on preferred carry style is nice. Based on the absence of any detectable wear I have no doubt this strap will hold up well.

Excellent strap, highly recommend it.
I have used BlackRapid straps in the past, but wanted as solution where I can change straps quickly between my various cameras. This is the right solution. with the Peak Design method, I am able to place several of the "tabs" on various cameras, and switch between them quickly using ONE STRAP. I like how the PD strap is easy to configure for shoulder, neck and cross body configuration. and the PD strap has "grips" so that your strap will stick to your shoulder, so not to slip off easily. I prefer to use the cross body method, and it works great. I highly recommend the PD approach, not just for the long strap, I also recommend their wrist strap for those times you like to have the extra security on your camera

Amazon Reviews are a Primary Refuge from the Meaninglessness of Life -- Dr. Frasier Crane
I over-researched a camera strap for my recently acquired camera like we all do. I’m in a hotel alone so I probably watched more youtube videos than most of you. There is a good one in Japanese, which thankfully has subtitles. The anchor drama, (where there were “seven cases of premature cord wear”). has been way overblown in my opinion, and PD handled it admirably. My strap arrived 03/07/19 with the V4 anchors. The screws in the baseplate coming unscrewed; well if you want a screw to be non-removable, use Loctite. Maybe just don’t use that option. Tripod mounts are for tripods, not really designed to hang your camera upside down on. Think about it. The customer pics of the “bulky” strap ends while the camera is sitting on a table, not being worn? Funny stuff! I’ve decided to put my faith in the PD’s version 4 anchors, and use the Slide Lite just like the guy in the red T-Shirt does in the product pics. The camera hangs nicely just above belt level, with plenty more length to spare and I am 6’4””. It slides right up, and slides back down again. The shiny seatbelt-like material is good for that. The other side has about 10” of little bits of same color rubber to hold it on your shoulder, I guess if you are using it as a shoulder strap only. This only inhibits movement as a sling, so don’t use that side. Another brand has a shoulder pad, and the CAMERA slides up and down on the strap. Before trying both, that seemed to make more sense. But that one only mounts to the tripod mount, and supplies a safety tether. Too much hardware, and your camera is upside down, which looks goofy to me. Practical maybe for certain pro’s, but goofy. The fact that there is no shoulder pad on the Slide Lite is a fashion bonus. The strap is wide enough to support the weight of my camera without need of a shoulder pad, which only pulls down on your T-shirt, ruining your perfect neckline (See product pic. It’s true). My Sony A73 and Zony 55mm is just a hair over two pounds. Two pounds! I used the split rings that came with the camera, but PD also included two with the strap, in the supplied pouch. PD now recommends using split rings, and not just the eyelets to mount the anchors. Makes sense to me. I gave 5 stars, because that’s the kind of guy I am. It’s a nifty camera strap. Well designed, feels good, looks good, and should last a long time. To think that not too long ago I was wondering what the heck those things were hanging from all the cameras on youtube! They are almost as ubiquitous as camera reviewers wearing backward baseball caps.

Best Standard Carry Strap Available
It is a very nice strap, appears to be very durable, and I like the concept. I bought it to use with the camera mounts. I’m not so sure about the utility of attaching one end of the strap to the tripod mount because you can simply swing the camera from front carry to side carry which I like. The straps are very easy to adjust for length to accommodate any carrying height. I would definitely have rated it five stars if it was not over-priced. BTW, I ordered the standard Peak Design Slide which has a wider strap that rode up on my neck and did not feel comfortable from another vendor and returned it because the cushioning on the neck part of the strap bunched up and felt like cardboard. It bent and did not retain its form. Even the Nikon standard issue strap that comes with its cameras was substantially better in that regard.

Works great with Fuji X-T2 and Sony a6000 - Just the right width for mirrorless body + bigger lens!
If you know about Peak Design, then you know that they are an agile startup that listens to the community that supports their products. I mainly bought this for the Fuji X-T2 Body and the 16-55mm f2.8 lens, which is rather hefty. Since they provide 2 pairs of connectors, I also use it for my lighter Sony a6000 body. The material is similar to that of what a seat belt is made out of, and I am confident that this strap will outlast the body that I am using it for. I do appreciate the quick release Anchors and it's not a surprise that they are having a great success in the market. Please note that on June 6, 2018, they acknowledged a flaw with their Anchor connectors, and is offering FREE replacements. Please see this link to order the redesigned replacements for free. To be clear, only one in every 17,000 customers have been affected, but Peak Design said that’s still too high of a failure rate. I’m not worried about the anchor design, but will take free replacements for when these wear out. Their Anchor update program can be found by googling “peak design 2018 anchor update”.

Great strap with great features
Used a Tamrac strap about 5 or 6 years ago on my Canon DSLR and thought it was fine. Getting back into photography after being out for a few years and went with the Peak Design strap. It is great. Love how easy it is to remove from the camera and to adjust the length. I carry it slung to one side and that is my new favorite way to carry a camera. I highly recommend this strap along with the clutch strap.

Nice Strap for Camera
I use this strap with my Canon EOS R. It feels comfortable and sturdy even with a 70-200mm lens attached to the camera. I was a little concerned about the weight on the strap but that turns out to be a non-issue. I use the sling configuration and it is easy to go from carrying the camera at my hip to shooting position quickly. I've also used the "behind the back" sling configuration and have found the camera stays put pretty well. For all-day shooting over a number of days I'd probably have opted for the more padded version but for my particular needs, this strap does the trick nicely. I like the fact that I can turn it over and let the rubberized side grip my shirt if I simply want to carry my camera over-the-shoulder. One thing to watch for is the attachments clips themselves. They apparently do wear out (there is a warning on the card that comes with them) though I expect it will take many months of heavy use for that to become a problem.
