Now I can rest, knowing that if/when dad tries to get out of bed without assistance, the alarm will let me know. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has someone that needs assistance getting in and out of bed.

Great help with caregiving duties

This works so well for our family. We stay with my grandma at night and this alarm helps us know when she gets out of bed so we can also get up and help her. Having the alarm sound in our room is great because the alarm in her room would startle her. We take the batteries out during the day to conserve them a little. My only complaint is that we can’t seem to figure out how to adjust the volume, if it’s possible, and it’s very loud!

VERY happy with my purchase!

This is just what I was looking for & works great. I put an alarm on each exterior door on our house so I will know if one of my parents goes outside. The best thing is they haven't even notice the alarm at the top of the door, nor the beep from my receiver when the door opens. I love it because it allows them (both have dementia. Dad wanders & mom falls easy) to have freedom to come & go as desired, yet letting me (caregiver) know when they go out so I can check on them. Most alarms make loud noise coming from the alarm on the door, which would frighten my parents & cause them to feel their like a prisoner in their own home. Thank you for making such a device. The only suggestion I have it to have a volume control on the pager I keep with/near me. UPDATED Feb 2019: I use the Pager with door alarms every day & am very happy with these devices. They work as stated & I've only had to change the Pager batteries once. Recently, when not using it, I've been opening the Pager & pulling one battery out a little to save on battery life. It has done a good job alerting me when dad goes in the garage or outside at night or in bad weather. I will soon be needing a floor pad for mom & will definitely get a VIVE product because they work well & are MUCH CHEAPER than any others I've seen.

No more sneaking out of bed..

My wife's sister has Alzheimer's Disease. She frequently gets out of bed in the middle of the night and wanders around the house. Her husband did not always hear her getting out of bed. He was concerned that she could hurt herself or leave their home without his knowledge. We purchased the wireless pager and the mat so my wife's brother in law would know when her sister gets out of bed. The wireless pager plays a music sound as soon as her feet touch the mat. The pager easily fits in the hand, though he just keeps it next to his pillow. Thank you Vive! The pager AND mat are a life saver.
