Easy to use, works as promised. Is discreet in my small yard and will yield plenty of compost for my small-ish raised garden beds.

It's a small composter and perfect for my small apartment garden. There are so many "industrial" type composters out there, I was looking for a nice design and smaller composter - this one fits perfectly for me.

Easy Installation

This compost bin was easy to put together. Took me about a 1/2 hour. I secured it in the ground with anchor hooks to prevent it from falling over as I don’t have anything in it and our winds are treacherous at times.

The Flies All Hale Andrew

Flies are everywhere and that's a good indication that the decomposition is working in high gear. Smells a bit so put it against the fence of the neighbor you like least. A quarter cup of lime once a week keeps the smell down, however.

Love it!

This is a great little composter. Easy to put together, sturdy, does the job. Turns easily, locks in place easily. Before I bought this I read all the reviews and I have not experienced any of the negatives some people have. It does not come apart if it is put together properly and everything is clicked in place. Even with the weight of heavy kitchen waste composting I have had no problems at all. There will be seepage of your compost tea through the drainage/air holes that are facing down, so I keep a little rectangular tub underneath of it and then I use the tea in my flower beds. There will be a lot of tea if there is a lot of rain, so be ready. If you dont want to use the tea then just set this up in a part of your yard that can abosorb the liquid that will naturallly come out of a composter while things are brewing! I used compost starter and things moved quickly. I was composting a batch that had already started in another composter but had a lot of incomplete material, I turn every other day without adding anything new and my compost was nice and dark and ready to use quickly. Now I am starting a new batch from kitchen and yard scraps so I will be able to see how long it really takes for the compost to be ready using the compost starter. I recommend this small compact composter and like it so much I’m considering getting another one so I can have two batches going at the same time.

Great size

I purchased this as I did not want a huge composter but something more manageable that I could stand in my service yard. It is perfect. The assembly was very clearly described, however, I only rated a 4 as it did require some brut force to assembly completely. Now I am excited about recycling more of my waste myself and making good soil at the same time. I will try to post an update once the composting is in process!

Love my new tumbler!

I was a little concerned based on other reviews, but I got the product shown and had minimal issues constructing it. It is a little tricky to snap together, but it's holding a full load like a champ. There's minimal leakage from holes. I had to purchase this model because of size, and it's perfect. I'm pleased with how fast things are breaking down. I threw some yard waste and veggies in it with some compost from a family farm, and the only thing not broken down quickly is some dense grassy plants from my flower pots. Highly recommend an activator/compost starter. Also, I noticed it's needing a lot of carbon, which I supply with shredded paper. I had lots of house flies at first, but once balanced C/N, minimal large flies. It's 10ft from my front door and minimal smell, just have to keep it balanced.

Great composter for the price!

UPDATED REVIEW: I received the new version of this product. The company has reviewed the flaws in the last model and made great improvements, particularly to the frame. The frame is now metal, much sturdier, and easier to put together. Assembly took me 20 minutes by myself with only the need for a Phillip's screwdriver. Instructions are clear and very user friendly. For the price, this is a great affordable composter. Would highly recommend! OLD MODEL REVIEW: The support pieces on the frame broke when trying to put together. Because it was such a pain the butt to assemble, it wasn't worth trying to break down the whole thing and send back. When the unit is less than 1/4 full, it still seems to heavy and is difficult to turn. For the money, it's not a horrible deal, but I wish I would have spent a little more for a better quality product.

Great composter! Just spills a little.

I love this composter!! It seems to speed up the composting time and the ability to spin is extremely helpful with mixing it all up. It fits A LOT. I've thrown in piles and piles of leaves and grass as well as buckets of egg shells, fruit, and vegetable peels. It looks like it is just about full but it all settles back down after a day or two and it will fit a lot more! I also add a little water to help it from time to time. The only downside is that when you spin it, some of the compost comes out of the holes and spills on the floor. It isn't much, it's just a bummer to see some of it go to waste and it makes a bit of a mess.
