The good thing about it is the long lasting battery
This light is built to be very durable in a professional shop environment. The good thing about it is the long lasting battery. Have had it on for 4 hours. ...no problem. When I get a new led work light I cover the lens with clear packaging tape. As it gets scratches and skuffs from working in tight spaces. ....just peel the tape and replace with new. Lens stays like new. There are many 100 dollar lights out there that don't put out this much light. Highly recommend for car /truck work.

I am happy with the quality of the work light
I just received the light so can't comment on batter life or longevity statements. What I can tell you is that it arrived on time, the product is exactly as indicated. I am happy with the quality of the work light. With the aluminum barrel and poly carb over the COB LED I am sure this will live up to the challenge of many years of service. The light is bright as all get out. This being a solid strip and not individual LED bulbs, you can not look at the light, even at a 45 degree angle. It is very bright. Unlike other LED lights on the market that rate themselves as 1000 lumens when it really is more like 450 lumens, I believe the Lumens rating of 700 is probably pretty accurate. I have two other cheapo lights rated at 1000 that are not as bright as this 700. Thanks for being honest on the lumens rating. This will be my go to light in just about every situation. Rarely do I need a light beam unless I'm hunting for something I lost. This things lights up the room, very bright in the immediate work area. Estimating the lights usefulness (these are estimates) I would say having the light stationed at a distance of 6 feet away from your work it adequately lights up an area 16 foot wide and spills out after that with almost 180 degree coverage. At 3 feet away, about a 8 foot wide area.

This thing is BRIGHT!
I thought I'd get another rechargeable light to help with our upcoming move, and so far I'm thinking this is a good choice. COB LED's are bright, and the three intensity settings let you dial it down to save charge or keep you from melting your face in close quarters. The rubberized handle makes for a sure grip when holding it like a torch. The light pattern is wide, so this works better as a floodlight or worklight than as a spotlight, which is what I wanted. The attachments allow you to hang this vertically or horizontally (with both hooks) and pivot the light to where you need it. The magnet is strong, but with the length and heft of this light (it feels solid, not flimsy), the magnet won't keep the light in place in a moving vehicle. For work under the hood though it should be fine (as long as the hood isn't aluminum...then use the hook). Haven't had a chance to test how long the battery lasts, but 11 hours on the dim setting doesn't sound unreasonable. We'll try it when we hit our first KOA in a couple weeks.

Great work light!
I've only had it for a week but I'm know stranger to this kind of light. I own snapon and other truck sold LED droplights. This is a cob led just like my snapon. It is brighter than and I love this light. I will buy the longer version next. The switch is nice and tight on the end like it should be and l like that it turns on in high mode. No unnecessary flashing mode. The magnet is strong and thight as the hooks are just like the snapon. It also uses the same plug as most cellphones.

It's way brighter than I expected!
This light is REALLY bright on the first, or high setting.... It's pretty bright on the the next 2 clicks also. It came quick, and was about half charged. It didn't take long to get to a full charge. I don't know how long it will last, but, I did use it on high setting for about an hour or so without any changes to the brightness. I would give a half star off for the weak magnet, but it still has 2 hooks, so... I like it.

Definitely worth the money and is a solid bright light!
I was hesitant about this light! I needed to replace my brakes on my Jeep Friday night, live in the country and light only from the garage.had it charging for an hour. Let me be honest, I hate reviews. Not knowing who’s honest! Well I will be! This light deserves everyone who works on cars or anything at nighttime to try it! I have no regrets! It is really bright, and the magnet c-clip is great. It made my job easier and thankfully I gave it a buy. Seriously, I would give this 10 stars. Yes, I dropped it more than once and it still works. Hands down the best work light I’ve found.
This is the best portable work light that I have found. I own the previous version (model# 40464A) and decided to get another one to keep in my truck for emergencies. While going to order another I noticed this newer version and ordered it instead. This light has the same exact construction as the previous model, however there are some very nice upgrades. First off, it is noticably brighter on its high setting and seems to provide a more spread out “flood” style light. The new power switch looks similar to the old version but has a spring return; each time you click it to the on position it goes to the next mode which are as follows: high, medium, low and off. One of the biggest improvements over the previous model is the different style charging port which is the same as most modern phones use (micro USB) allowing for the light to be charged on the go in your vehicle if you have an existing USB phone charger. The charging indicators have been moved to the light itself on the same board as the main light and are easily visible in daylight. In short, this is just an improved version of the previous model that everyone loves and has the same durable construction. The magnet mount is great for sticking it places where there is no place to hang a normal work light and it wont scratch paint because it has a soft surface over the magnet base.

Very good work light
Very good work light. I have compared it to all my friends lights and this one easily beats all the led ones it has gone up against and it has a more focused, brighter beam than the high wattage halogens. Battery life seems great, I have left it on for 5 hours and it still seems plenty bright.

Great light. So far I have not used it ...
Great light. So far I have not used it long enough to see if the run time is accurate. I will be buying more of these, for the money they are the best rechargeable work light I've been able to find.

Gives off a lot of light, without a lot of heat
I bought this lamp in preparation for some work I needed to do in the attic. It's always a pain to run an extension cord up with me, and try to set up a light. This item really did meet my needs. It arrived quickly, and I charged it up right away. It comes with a strong magnet for use on certain metal surfaces. But I needed to hang it from a rafter. The hook included allowed me to place it strategically on a rafter, and aim the light right where I needed it. And it produces a lot of light! There is an adjustment that allows you to select the intensity of the light. Because it's LED, it's not producing heat. In the past, I've gone up to the attic with a halogen work light that felt like a focused furnace in an already hot attic. The light is large enough to provide adequate illumination to work, but it's not large overall, so easily stored. My only wish is that there was a way to store all the "attachment components" (hooks and magnet) on board at the same time, so it was always all together. Can't speak to how long the battery stays charged. It lasted for the hour or so that I needed it in the attic, and still has its charge a few weeks later, though I haven't needed to use the lamp again since the initial charge. I'm hoping it stays ready for a long time.
