I bought two of these containers in 2017. I have been using them non-stop for keto ice cream and they are a dream! Ice cream stays scoopable and they are easy to store in the freezer door. Also easy to clean and store. A couple weeks ago, I was taking a container out of the freezer and dropped it on the tile floor. The middle part of the container cracked and the top didn't seal completely after that. it fits nice in the door of my freezer

I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.

Do you really need a special container for ice cream? Yes ! Make it this 3 piece, perfectly shaped container. Using this has made a believer out of me. It really does protect ice cream from freezer burn, and the elongated narrow shape is ingenious—so easy to make the perfect scoop in one motion**. No more partial shards of ice cream dished from a “short” container that stops the scooping motion. Neccessary for any home icecream maker

Bought these to use after I purchased or new ice cream maker, works amazing. Now not sure if it made the difference or not but we had previously purchased a different brand and the icecream would get freezer burn so being cautious we have put a piece of plastic wrap in between the icecream and the lid and the icecream stays perfect. Just as soft as when we finished making it!

Excellent Ice Cream Containers

We have been making ice cream at home for a while now and have had at least one of these containers from almost the beginning. We started putting the ice cream into Pyrex bowls then into the freezer but this wasn't very convenient. I bought one of these and it made all the difference. First, they stack well in the door of our freezer. This frees up a lot of space and also keeps the ice cream toward the warmer part of the freezer, keeping it a little soft. If your ice cream does get a bit hard, the shape of these containers makes it easy to scoop out layer-by-layer. You just run the scoop in a shallow path along the length of the container and you get a nice scoop every time. The bottom of the container is rounded so you don't have to dig around or use pointy objects to get the last bits of deliciousness out. These containers are the perfect size for us to make a batch of ice cream in our kitchenaid ice cream maker, fill one container, and have enough for the family to each have a bowl. Our old ice cream maker was a little smaller, the type you buy at the local department store, and a whole batch fit perfectly into these containers. They are plastic so I would hand wash them for safety but the slick surface makes this super easy.

These are well made and really nice looking in addition to being a handy size for storage both in and out of the freezer. I was impressed immediately with the quality and am glad I paid the extra $2 to get this brand. Quality seems to be a hallmark of all their products as I also ordered and just received their ice cream scoop which was both solid and beautifully made. The shape of these containers solves the problem of scooping ice cream. The scoop has a pointed end that digs into the frozen ice cream and the length of the container allows you to scoop out just the right amount for a full scoop. I'm very impressed with both items and they're dishwasher safe. This container also seems to be the easiest manner in which to pour the ice cream base into the KitchenAid mixer bowl on the 8 qt machine without getting the sticky mess everywhere. I love these containers and they're also just the right size to fit in the upper drawer of most freezers.

Awesome ice cream/frozen yogurt container. Well worth the purchase. Just realize that you will need 2 containers if you are making 2 liters of frozen dessert since each container holds only 1.5 liters. My Cuisinart 2 liter -yield after churning nearly fills 2 containers to top with just enough room left for expansion as the dessert finishes up its freeze. The dessert’s condition and taste is greatly improved by the container and even after several days there is no evidence of freezer burn ( the bane of homemade frozen dessert!) please know that all my covers fit tight, so if you get one with a loose top it’s a production flaw - I would contact Sumo to let them know. Also, I found that if my yogurt or ice cream is too hard I pop container (no cover) in microwave 30 seconds on power 3 (30%) & it serves up perfect. So happy with these that I kept going back to buy more ... I now have 4!

The SUMO Ice Cream container is great! It's well made, super easy to clean, and it sits perfectly on my freezer door. The best part, the ice cream tasted just as good on day one as it did on day seven!

Great container

This is a great container. My daughter has a dairy allergy, so I made our own sorbet and stored it right in this container in the freezer. The top has a nice seal that clicks in. It also is easy to remove with a tap that extends out one end. It is just the right size as well. It is not too big to take up too much space in your freezer, but enough to hold a decent amount of ice cream/sorbet.
