As you can see in the image I bought two other brands of lids for mason jars. This one is leak proof. Wish the hole in the back was bigger so my finger could fit (a lot of times I’m juggling more than one item in my hand when out with my kids). The lid has to be pushed down hard or it won’t close all the way. The whole lid twists off without much muscle, unlike the other brand I bought in the grey color. So far I like it. I know I won’t have any spills when using it.

Really like this option. I use mason jars for everything...even as regular glassware. Was tired of the way the regular tops tend to rust, etc...and these tops eliminate that and make using the jars for a variety of liquid contents all the easier. Well made. Solid.

My 6 years old went through so many plastic water bottles (cheap and expensive) Some plastic tops can develop mold. They all get worn and need to be tossed every few months. So I decided to do away with plastic altogether. Thought small mason Jar was perfect size. I did purchase the silicone sleeve also, to protect the glass and keep from slips and spills. I decided to try these tops and they worked out perfect. Very easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. We had lots of spills in her backpack in the past. Not with these. Very durable. Will be purchasing more.

I bought these and small ball whisks for salad dressing. Snap it closed and give it a good shake. They do not leak. I still put a finger over it though when shaking as I have had dressing mishaps in the past and am paranoid. At first they are a little difficult to open. But after a few times they are OK, not loose at all after many uses. They still "snap" closed.

UPDATE**** Seller Genuine Essentials really went above and beyond to make sure my situation was handled correctly! Fantastic customer support. They stand behind their products and honor any valid complaints/issues you might have. Highly recommend them as a seller! They fit great and worked well... then both tips broke. Both my caps split near the threads within 3mos. I’m guessing the plastic is low quality and just too soft.

I made Maple Syrup and put it up in pint jars and bought these to use so the syrup wouldn't drip all down the edge of the jar when poured. They are very well made and work Great! I bought two more for my family to use. The little tab snaps tight and doesn't leak syrup at all. Would buy again.

This lid is a great alternative to the Recap lids that are nearly double the price. I actually use these lids on top of my ½ gallon ball jars to ferment Jalapeno peppers in. The one complaint I have is the hole isn't big enough to fit the stopper in for my airlock, whereas it is on the Recap lids. I used a Dremel to make the hole bigger and got my airlock stopper in. However, these lids aren't advertised as being for fermenting so I am not going to remove any stars for that. They work great for their intended purpose. Masontops could make some friends with some fermenters though if they made the hole bigger, would keep fermenters from having to buy the ridiculously overpriced Recap lids.

These are great and i highly recommend them. My ONLY suggestion would be to make the hole a tad smaller so you can securely fit the plastic straws for mason jar lids. These holes are a bit larger so the straw moves around and liquid can get out, whereas i had lids prior that fit the straws perfectly and no liquid would get out. However, still HIGHLY recommend these they have been GREAT.

These work as advertised. There is no vent, so you can't use with hot items without the lid popping off or worse and the plastic does retain some of the dishwasher soap smell if we put them in the dishwasher. So I've been handwashing and enjoying using these for my cold coffee drinks. Although a mason jar can hold hot coffee, it causes the lid to pop and the jar is too hot to handle. Your experience will vary depending on your jar. I pour coffee in the night before and add sugar and cream but the lid is on with the top off. In the morning I can close the lid and shake and have my cold coffee for my commute.

I absolutely love these! I put the lid on a pint size mason jar and use it to mix salad dressing, BBQ sauce, simple syrup, I find I use these lids all the time. I had a green one and ordered more because I found so many uses. These are so much better than the plastic lids or conventional lids. I love the pour spout and appreciate they are leakproof. I have packed salad dressing to go in these to dress a salad at a potluck. No leaks. Works great.
