The Only Magnifying Glass for Me

I would buy this again. And again. I keep nature finds in trays on my dining table. This magnifying glass is on the tray too. I have lots of little kids (and big kids) who pick up the glass so they can check things out. It's been dropped numerous times (thank you, toddlers) and looks brand new. The design is great. The glass is well-protected by the rubber on both sides. The handle prevents slippage. There is not one scratch on it anywhere.

This is a really nice glass and something that is useful to have on ...

This is a really nice glass and something that is useful to have on hand. I originally bought it after having cataract surgery and not being able to see comfortably to read the newspaper while the eyes were healing. Fortunately, that did not last for long because this glass n heavy and while it does the job, it is not comfortable to use for that purpose. However, it is perfect for that extra small print and other chores that need closer inspection.

Great and nice product for the money!!

Got it yesterday and my kids are so excited of getting a REAL magnifying glass for their backyard exploration instead of a toy. Nice quality! It works so well and you can feel the quality in your hand. It's a little bit big for my kids (preschool age) but it works even better than a kiddie one. I bet it works pretty well for senior citizens or crafting people as well. Highly recommended!!!

Good magnifying glass

It is very similar to the one I had but the handle broke on it. This one seems to have a very solid handle which I like and the clarity on the glass is very good. I like the fact it is a little heavy as my other one because so much better then those cheap plastic ones.

For me, this is the BOMB!

I have ordered a bunch of magnifying glasses from Amazon. A BUNCH. For general purpose home use, this is the BOMB! Great combination of power and viewing size. It is the one I most frequently reach for. Of course, no one glass is the best for all uses. Sometimes portability is important, sometimes you need a light, sometimes you want really high power to examine insects, diamonds, etc. But mostly, for reading fine print, looking at maps, examining photos, etc. -- and especially with a senior's normal decline in near vision -- this is the one. Most impressive is the power, which might not sound like much at 3x. But I have bought many that advertised more power and delivered less.

Heavy for its size, great optical

As mentioned by several reviewers, this item is heavy. But that gives me confidence it is well built. If it were of plastic it would be lighter weight. Seems very sturdy and I like the rubberized coating around the entire mirror and handle, as it makes it easy to grip and if I drop it I don't expect it will get damaged. Has really good opticals and surprisingly very little distortion at the very edges - thus not really noticeable since it is such a tiny area.

BEST EVER!!!

I have been trying to find a magnifier that I could actually see through. Finally found this one and liked it so much that I purchased 3 more. Now I have one for each room where I need them. They are made with a glass lens and the body has what feels like a rubber coating on it. So you can see much better with the glass and you don't have to worry that it will slip out of your hand. A little heavier than the plastic ones, but feels good to hold.

Valuable adjunct to my spectacles!

Magnificent! My eyes are at the point where I cannot decipher road maps. I ordered this magnifying glass in anticipation of a road trip. It helped me to read maps and see other things at close range. Highly recommended if you'd like to go beyond eyeglasses without changing your prescription. Great customer service.

I Recommend - Sturdy

Nice and hefty. The rim around that glass is thick and seems it would take a lot of force to crack it - sturdy. The lens is wide and will cover a lot of text. The edges of the glass do curve as you move over words or small items, but I think this will be the case will all magnifiers.
