Love it!

My dot was was crowded out on the nightstand making it hard for it to recognize commands. This product works great! The dot is now plugged directly into the wall socket with the provided short plug. There are no obstructions so it recognizes my voice clearly from bed with an air purifier and fan going constantly. This is important because it’s also my alarm clock. I don’t have to yell so loudly & repeatedly now when I tell it to snooze multiple times either! Highly recommend!

Very easy to install and Reduces wire clutter.

So far I own 2 2nd generation dots and I purchased a Matone Outlet Wall Mount Hanger to try. To my amazement I love this product and will purchase one for each dot I own. Great for space saving and visible wires.

I love this item. Its a great product for space saving ideas and no exposed wires. The package includes a short USB cable and wall mount. Instructions are very easy to understand. The package does not come with the USB plug you have to use the one that came already with your device. Echo dot second generation fits well and is not at risk of falling down. I recommend this product for Echo dot second generation.

Makes Alexa even more convenient

A part of me felt like a “wall mount” would be unnecessary for such a small appliance, but another part of me insisted I didn’t want yet another item cluttering the counter. My frustration with clutter won and I decided to drop the extra few dollars for a mount and keep the box to return it if it did indeed seem pointless. I’m so glad I decided to try the mount! The box was trashed within hours. :) Using this mount, we were able to place our dot in a spot a that’s awkward for furniture but perfect for Alexa to hear us from five different rooms. If it weren’t for this mount, we probably wouldn’t use Alexa half as much as we do. It adds almost zero bulk to the dot and is not intrusive in our hallway.

Clean And Compact Solution For Your Dot

There are lot of versions of this hanger on the market. Hard to tell the difference between some of them. What I like about this one is that it can be mounted horizontally or vertically in outlets that are either horizontal or vertical. In the Chicago area it is common to mount electrical outlets so that the outlets are side-by-side instead of one on top of the other like in other parts of the country. Many of these mounts assume the outlet is in a vertical orientation. This one makes no assumptions and works in any situation. It also comes with a nice short cable that is the perfect length. The power adapter hits snugly in the mount. This is a much better solution than setting the Dot on a table and stringing a long cable to an outlet.

If you own an Echo Dot, buy this! Seriously.

These things are amazing, and the price point is perfect! I'm fortunate to live in housing with newer plates and outlets, only opening thought is that older houses with loose power outlets would not be a good fit for this form factor. However, the Echo dot's weight is negligible for it to be hanging from the plug that the Echos come with (Sizing is designed to fit SPECIFICALLY with the OEM USB adapter), and works great. Even leaves ample room for the audio jack to connect to a stereo via 8th inch jack. I've since bought these hangers for all of my echo dots, and the set-it-and-forget-it form factor just works flawlessly. Highly recommended! Included USB-to-Micro cable is a nice touch as well.

Works as advertised! I'd buy it again.

It's a nifty little bracket that holds the second generation Echo Dot just fine. The supplied cable keeps the installation clean looking. The only downside that I've found is that it may interfere with the outlet above it depending on the type of cord you're using. Lamp and regular two prong cords will be just fine, but a slightly oversized three prong may not fit because the body of the bracket is above the center of the outlet. Otherwise, I like it very much.

Feels Sturdy, Looks Great, and Easy to Install

My first impression unboxing this outlet mount for my second generation Echo Dot was how simple it is to assemble and install. The directions are very clear and easy to understand - you can find them on the back end of the box. The box also has an image of the device, with a check in a box corrisponding to the color you ordered. Although it’s made of plastic, the product feels durable and well constructed. This product replaces your dots normal lengthy power cord with a short one that precisely fits. Pros of this product: - Feels well constructed and durable - Allows for more placement options for your Echo Dot - Sleek design that actually makes the Dot look better - Affordable - Helps with wire management by replacing the lengthy Echo Dot cord with a short one. Overall I couldn’t think of too many negatives upon first using this product. The only possible thing I could think of would be hiding the small power cord for the Dot better, but that would require a different product design. Great product that I highly recommend.

Great product, very handy.

I didn't pay enough attention to the actual location of the wall plug in the kitchen when I bought this as the outlet is obviously very close to the counter top backing. It won't hang down like the design is intended for. However, I simply used it in the horizontal position and placed a very small shim underneath the holder to keep the entire thing from hanging down and pulling on the plug. Despite my mistake on the wall outlet, the holder is great. Fits the plug very well, the Echo Dot sits in it very nicely. The small cord is just the right size, not too much, not too small. This is a great holder for the Echo Dot if you have an appropriate wall plug in a kitchen or where ever. (I don't think the Dot would work too great if you use a typical wall outlet located closer to the floor)
