I couldn't be happier I found this solution! This is a really nice and inexpensive solution for a standing desk that isn't so permanent. Very delighted I found this!! Experience / Research: At work: I've use Varidesks. Very nice, but big. Great to throw monitors on top of. Quick adjustments. At home: I have two standings desks (one manual crank - my first, and a fancier one with memory controls - by Stand Desk). My Use Case: I bought this because I needed the ability to have a standing desk that was semi-portable and sturdier than the really portable ones (think the platform with two legs, one on each side, that bend and lack in multiple parts). I'm using this at my girlfriend's place, which I may be standing at the dining room table, or next to her bed (with this sitting on 4 wooden chargers [plates] acting as a "platform" for the wobbly bed). I'm computing with a 15" Macbook Retina Pro and 13" iPad Pro (second monitor using Duet). The platform comfortable covers both and leaves extra room on the desk for me to "breath" and not feel so confined. Build Quality: Very solid build. We'll see how it handles being moved around a lot, but I don't think I'll have issues with this desk.

TL; DR Great product for a great price. Full Review: Decided to try standing desks out because they obviously seem to becoming more well known and well used for health and other benefits *that you can get with sitting less during the day). Checked a few out at physical stores but they seemed to be missing something...and the prices just didn't seem to justify what you'd get. Came online, read some reviews and did a little research and discovered the VIVO Black Single Top Height Adjustable Standing 32" Desk Sit Stand Converter Tabletop Monitor Laptop Riser. Delivered on time. Been using for awhile and it is a great product. It adjusts to different heights and NOT just three as you may find mentioned in different reviews. *** WARNING: Just before it gets to the lowest level there's a "drop" so you need to make sure that you've got a good grip on it as it finishes lowering the last 6" (six inches) or so - but once you're aware of this it's just something you do without thinking anymore. The price is also very reasonable for what you get. It holds its own against the big brand higher priced products available. Very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Likes - I refused to spend 500-1200 dollars on the desktop risers that they sell. I also did not want to get rid of my nice real wood desk I use for work for particle board cheapness with these fully rising desks. Doing my research I quite literally stumbled into this as I was about to give in and get one of the insultingly expensive particle board stand up desk converters. I didn't need anything fancy for other people to oooo and ahhh over. I just wanted something that allows me to stand and work. simple. With that said, I got my first full week out of this for work. It isn't too big which is nice, It fits my desk well. It is heavy and sturdy. I have not noticed any sliding at all, unless you're trying hard to move it. Surface area easily fits two 24 inch monitors, a bulky work keyboard, mouse and mouse pad, and my little ergonomic mouse wrist cushion and key board cushion with room to spare. While typing there is a tiny bit of shaking, but I tend to type rough and I rest my arms on it, so I am sure I am causing more shaking than needed. However, I do not have any fear of the monitors falling off. So far its performing well, I didn't have to pay $500 and i have nothing but good feelings about this purchase. Dislikes - yeah it takes some effort to raise it, and I can see if you're sitting and standing every 20 minutes that would get old or if you have a bad back. It's not that it is hard to raise, it's the angle that you are trying to raise it. The latches to raise the desk are in the middle so, you kind of have to hunch over your desk losing your ability to use your legs to help pull. I tend to keep it up and stand when working hard and sit when taking a 5 minute breather to stare at the ceiling throughout the day. When bringing it down you do have to pay attention. It comes crashing down for the last 4-6 inches if you are not holding the latches. Just hold it all the way down and you'll be fine.

I sit at a desk and work for eight hours a day and many times it makes for a very long day. I started using a box to put my keyboard on to stand and it did help break up the fatigue a little but I couldn’t adjust positions on a box and it looked goofy. I had also read about the importance Of not sitting for long periods day after day. When I discovered this desktopper and Saw the positive reviews I thought I’d give it a whirl. Boy am I glad I did. What a game changer! I’ve had it just a couple weeks and I feel more energetic and it really helps break up the day. At first it was hard to pull the handles to adjust it up and down but as the company promised when I called, it has gotten easier with more use. I definitely highly recommend this product. And the customer service department was very helpful too. The only negative thing I could think of was that I’ve heard it’s expensive if you want to send it back, but I can’t imagine ever being without mine again. 🙂

Exactly what they say it is!! I like the low profile as it sets collapsed at my desk! I like the light color and the feel of how sturdy it is. It’s funny though that the “only” part that I’m going to be touching constantly is plastic! Weird to me? I hope it holds up because other than that, this raised desk top is extremely sturdy and is exactly what I wanted!!

Over all I LOVE the VIVO Standing WorkStation. It’s so much more space saving than the Veridesk and that’s why I bought it. I’m pretty short but it extends tall enough for any heights. It’s maybe 2 inches off the desk when it’s in it’s lowest position which is also something I wanted. I didn’t want my standing work station to still be 7+ inches tall when at it’s lowest setting. I don’t lean on it but if you are a leaner and have 2 monitors like me, you may want to think about some other options. The ONLY issue I have it that initially when lifting it up it’s a bit heavy but that could also be because of the dual monitors. I would highly recommend this product. I seen some reviews about people not having much room on top for their keyboard but that totally depends on your monitor stand and I have no issues with that. I haven’t felt like I had to give hardly any of my desk space and this was the best choice for me.

Exactly as advertised? Well that's refreshing, isn't it? I did a lot of research to find a standing desk solution that would deliver the benefit without the $175+ price tag of the VariDesk. So this Vivo one seems to be fitting the bill. I'm on Day 3 of using it & will come back with an update if anything significant changes. On Day 1, I loved it. It's easy to lift & lower to find the exact height to keep my arms/shoulders in proper position. It's wide enough to fit my laptop, notebook/papers & charging cell phone. I stood for 6 hours total (broken up by a 30-minute lunch break) & decided I loved this thing. The only lesson I learned was that I need to wear supportive tennis shoes if I'm going to stand that long (I work at home & usually don't wear shoes around the house). On Day 2, I stood for a couple of hours, then my legs started to get a little tired. I was mentally so used to standing to work from the prior day that I momentarily forgot that I could sit down. Duh! So I lowered the desk (easily) and kept working sitting down and varied standing/sitting the rest of the day. Today, on Day 3, it's much like Day 2. For some reason I'm not as energized to stand all day (like I was on Day 1). My lower back is a little achey after standing a couple hours and my legs are a little tingly. I think this has absolutely nothing to do with the desk; however, it does point out to me the importance of the easy-to-lift-and-lower functionality. So if you (like another reviewer) get one that isn't easy to lift/lower, get in contact with the company. The fact that they reply to 1-star & 2-star ratings is one reason I chose to buy from them compared to others selling what looks to be this exact desk at equal or lesser cost. I will say that with the height of my stationary desk (leg room underneath) & the max raise of my adjustable chair, my arms are at an above-90 degree angle when the adjustable desk is in its fully-lowered position which sort of puts a strain on my arms after a while. But, optimist that I am, this just reminds me that perhaps it's time to stand up again. All in all, I like the desk. Based on their responses to low-star ratings, this company seems to stand behind their product & fixes problems when there is a defect or damage. I'm actually considering buying 1 or 2 more for my teenagers. I just wish I had thought of this during the summer when they were spending more time on their computers. But I guess they sit most of the day in school too though, so standing for a couple hours for afternoon/evening computering will be good for them!

This Vivo adjustable desk is exactly what I was looking for. I was a bit cautious because the price was so great - I figured it couldn't be as well-made as the expensive brand. So glad I bought it! It is a solidly built desk with a sturdy platform and base, and perfect for my duel monitor (it holds up to 22 lbs). It's easy to lift and lower, and flattens out very nicely in it's lowest position for seated work (photos included). The surface can hold a typical keyboard and mouse, but not a large mouse pad. Either way, it's a comfortable work station for me, so the benefits outweigh that one minor issue. I highly recommend this desk if you're looking for a well-made standing/adjustable desk and don't want to pay a fortune for it.

Exactly what I needed! I work from home full time and was sitting waaaaay too much and it was killing my back. Bought this standing desk based on previous excellent experience with VIVO product. The height is perfect. The dimensions are exactly what I was looking for (for a 28" monitor and keyboard/mouse, did not want an additional keyboard tray). Everything fits perfectly on top with room to spare for taking notes. I'm 6'1", placed it on top of an existing 29" high desk. Fully raised this brings the keyboard and monitor up to appx 45.5", perfect for my height. It can obviously be adjusted to lower than that but perfect for my needs. Fully lowered it's appx 1.5" tall. Super easy to raise and lower. Very sturdy, doesn't wiggle at all. Product was delivered quickly and undamaged. No assembly necessary. Great price. Would definitely recommend.

I have been wanting one of these for at least a year or two. My hubby saw me browsing and told me to "buy it already" on his card. I must say it makes all the difference for me at the office. I sit at my desk quite a bit. I always wanted to the stand option when typing long docs - and this thing goes up and down with ease. It is sturdy and isn't flimsy or unstable at all. I even lean on it from time to time with my elbows when reading. My sweetie did it again! Big Score!! I'm thinking about a second one for my home office space. ;-)
