Great
It was a lot of fun to use. I got it because of LilyPichu. You definitely get what you pay for.

Very good quality, at a super affordable price point
I had a Hohner melodica for a few years and now that my kids are getting older they want to play with all of my instruments (Ukes, Guitars, Drums, etc.) so I am always looking for affordable versions of the same instruments which they can play with without me worrying about them breaking my more expensive ones. On the search of a new melodica I ran across this one, which is around one third of the $ I paid for mine. Lately I have been betting on these Chinese brands who are just starting on the market (I own several instruments from the Donner brand which are absolutely fantastic in quality and cost). I have a theory that they are likely made in the same factories as the name branded ones. This melodica is a prime example of that theory. They look and feel exactly the same. Someone mentioned that his unit was out of tune, I did not experience that at all, and I must say that they are identical in craftsmanship and quality. I will post some side by side photos here so that you can compare. The things that I really like: - The spring action on the keys are spot on with a nice balance while not being too soft yet very comfortable to play. It tells me that it will likely las a while - The extra mouthpiece which allows you to use the melodica in a flute like position in addition to the hose which makes it possible to play on your lap like a mini piano - The Gig bag is super nice with both a handle and a shoulder strap - The sound holes are on the top of the instrument which projects the sounds much better than my other one which has the holes on the bottom Things that I don't like: - Though I do not use it while playing (I prefer to hold the onto the body). The only thing that bothers me is the hand strap which is also the case on my current one. It does not feel sturdy enough for a lot of handling. Overall, if I knew about this Eastar brand when I got my first expensive one and of the quality of its build I would have definitely gone for it, especially at its price point. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a melodica. I hope this helps your shopping as I wish there was a review like it when I was looking for mine. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below the review and I will do my best to answer it. Cheers!

Ting stay indestructible
This is an absolutely great melodica. I won’t lie, I dropped it a few times, and thing didn’t get out of tune at all. The only trouble I had with it was that I had to blow extra hard when pressing a few of the keys, but other than that it was awesome. Thing has lasted many months in very humid conditions, and I haven’t made any effort to take care of it especially well. If youre gonna buy a melodica, and yaint boutta throw down money on one of those fancy expensive Japanese ones, this things the one you want. Best thing about it, besides durability and survivability, is that it doesn’t sound as annoying as most other cheap melodicas. I rate very nice

Attractive Sturdy Instrument with Good Sound - Fun
The Eastar Melodica is a very attractive instrument that comes with a nice bag to carry the melodic and the four blow pipes. I ordered the blue and I am very happy with that choice. The melodica comes with two “short” pipes and two that are connected with a very thin hose. The instrument is very sturdy and has a nice “heft” meaning it doesn’t feel “cheap” but is not heavy. The hoses seem very delicate, but it comes with a bag to store and carry it all. If you break the plastic hoses you still have the two short pipes which are quite sturdy. I can compare the sound favorably to other small keyboards I have owned, but these others were electronic and not wind instruments. I normally sing and play harmonica, so I didn’t have a problem blowing any notes. The lowest 2 or 3 notes on the keyboard will, of course, be the hardest to blow and you have to compensate for that if you venture to that range. If you stay on the mid or higher range, there is no issue with wind. The notes still sound true. Overall, I would recommend this as a nice instrument for someone who is learning the keyboard or for someone who would like to play and be mobile. I suspect an experienced player could get great sounds out of it. For me it is a lot of fun.

Great customer service!!!
My son LOVES his Eastar 37 key melodica. But what I appreciated the most was the customer service. Long story short, my son earned money to buy this instrument and unfortunately when it arrived, the package was empty with the bottom side of the box undone. As if it opened while in transit. My son was very upset. I contacted Eastar and they sent him a replacement with no questions asked! We received the new one and my son has not put it down since. Thank you so much Yvonne. I would definitely recommend and purchase from again in the future.

Read online for what the best melodica is and an article lead me to this one. Addictive and fun! Worth every penny!

It was great way introduce him to a keyboard and guess what ...
My son selected they as he wasn't sure if he wanted to take up piano. It was great way introduce him to a keyboard and guess what he loved it. After two weeks of use he was ready for a real keyboard. I'm actually surprised my son took it up and his self teaching by taking online free courses. We have him play for us every night and enjoys it very much. So in all it's a great starter to see if they would like paino instead of spending big money on something else they may not like.

Great Instrument for the price!
Came with two sets of both types of mouth pieces! A slick black melodica that sounds and plays very clearly! I had a Meloster before purchasing this melodica and I do not regret the switch at all. An easy and fun instrument for anyone to play. If you have a child looking for a fun new instrument , this is a great instrument for them! No lessons required, it is a light, portable instrument.
