Up dated review with 2nd trail cam and pic's

This is a very high quality trail cam. Pics are crisp and clear. Video is outstanding. Easy to program and the unit is very small. Foxelli even includes a led flash light as a thank you for your purchase. The video viewing screen inside makes it easy to view your photos on the spot instead of having to wait until you get home. Also included is a surface adjustable mount so you could mount the camera on a wall or under a roof eve for surveillance. I just used amazon basic rechargeable batteries and a class 10 micro card. It’s so nice, I don’t know if I want to leave this camera in the woods now. UPDATE Foxilli sent me a complementary trail cam due to my first one would not work in IR mode at night and I had to return for a refund. I was not expecting this to show up in my mail box at all. That’s first class customer service and a testament to a small company that stands behind on what they sell. Now on with the review. After the polar vortex diminished, I took the trail cam to the woods to try it out. I installed amazon basic rechargeable batteries and a class 10 micro SD card. I chose a tree in an area I had always seen deer. I used the photo and video mode, programmed to 2 still shots and a 15 sec video. I never tested it at home so I really didn’t know if it worked or not. Foxilli had also sent be a card with the camera stating the software was updated and this new camera should work. ( I guess some previous cameras like my other one had defective software). After 10 days, I retrieved the camera, brought it home, pulled the card and to my surprise the card had 25 videos and 50 still pics. A few photos and videos were probably triggered by birds so they just showed the forest but all the others had deer. Even the night time videos came out good as long as the deer were with in 20 ft. Day time pics would show up clear and sharp. Next time I will just do 1 still shot and 1 longer video. I ended up deleting a lot of still shots because I had duplicates. Also I think lithium batteries will give brighter night time pics and videos. I’m happy to say this camera is performing the way in should. I love the viewing screen and how compact the camera is. I attached 2 photos. Night and day shots. Trail cameras in general seem to be hit and miss. My first foxilli was a dud, this one works fine. When you buy a trail camera, not only choose a good camera but look at the customer service and there return policy.

The Foxelli Trail Camera is compact, well-made, easy to set up, and a snap to use

The Foxelli Trail Camera is an excellent first cam for a novice like me, and perhaps even well-suited for the serious gamesman. I only use it to monitor my backyard for coyotes, bobcat, cougars, and black bears, but it could easily function well in a reconnaissance role as well. The Foxelli is compact, well-made, easy to set up, and a snap to use in the "ON" mode. A friend recently bought a different trail camera for approx. $100, and said he was surprised to see that the Foxelli has an onboard display for previewing images right at "the stand." The images are clear and crisp (see photo)...both day and night...and the video shows good resolution as well. My one complaint is that the 32GB MicroSD card slot is on the bottom of the camera, and is a little stubborn when inserting and removing the card, and I worry that I will drop it in a pile of leaves or grass and never find it again. Altogether, the Foxelli is a great value, but an even cooler feature would be Bluetooth/WiFi with a phone app for monitoring/management for those of us who use it for home-based surveillance. At only $79.97, this trail cam is a "Must Buy."

Trail Cam with night vision.

The camera works great in daylight or at night. Very Easy to set up, and a great price. The photos are 14mp, very sharp and clear. I'm going to order 2 more for other sections of my property to far away for wired Security Cameras. Motion detection Sensitivity is excellent with 3 settings. 1/31/19, I ordered another of the same, and found the price went up $10.00.

Customer Satisfaction At Its Best

I had purchased 2 of the Foxelli Trail Camers a few months ago and was really disappointed in the night time pictures and returned them posting a review about my disappointment. I received a nice email from Foxelli and an apology. I was really pleasantly surprised last week when I received a new one and was ask to try it. They took what I complained about, and made an improvement in their product and wanted me to see if I like the new one. I can't say enough about how pleased I am because #1 they took pride in their product to make it better & #2 try to make me happy with their product. I put the camera out the next day Friday and went to check it Sunday. There were both day & night pics on it & I have to admit the changes they made were really good. I'm giving them a 5 Star because they improved their product & they care about customer satisfaction. Good job Foxelli

Don't waste your money on other cameras

Extremely impressed with my foxelli trail can! After 1 week I had over 500 pictures of bear and deer! I have owned trail cams ranging from $20 to over $150 and this one tops them all. Only issue we had is a bear cub got a little curious and broke the plastic loop that the strap goes through and beat up the camera a bit but that was not Foxelli's fault. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Best bang for your buck, amazing little trail camera!

I was looking for an extra trail camera for my property. I purchased this not knowing the quality of it but thought it was worth a try. It is an amazing camera. It takes very nice daytime photos with no blurry motion. The video is very high quality as well. I love the sensitivity of the camera, have it on medium sensitivity and it has caught deer, turkey, fox and racoon and even a few hummingbirds on it. The viewing screen inside is setup nice and very simple to use. Foxelli makes a great product and has amazing customer support. I plan on buying a few more of these cameras!!

Easy to use and set up.

One of my neighbors dogs has been pooping in my yard and I can't figure out. I purchased this camera to nab the pooper. I unboxed the camera, dropped in some batteries and a memory card, and strapped it to a tree in about 5 minutes. The interface is very clean and easy to use. The nice bright screen makes setup in daylight easy. It says up to 32gb, but I have a 64gb card and it is working no problem. Many of these cameras look the same and have similar features. Frankly, I didn't put a whole lot of decision making into which one to get. I have no regrets in this purchase. This camera is great!
