Great Plug.
I'm telling you the truth that this smart, tiny plug could really make your life much eaiser!! Now I use it everyday. I put one in my bedroom and one in my washroom. After setting, all I need to do is to say "Alexa, turn on/off the light.". It works great and I feel so great to enjoy the smart home. Even though you don't have amazon dot, it also works!! all you need to do is to download app, called "Smart Life", you could follow instruction to match the plug with your bulb, then you could easily control it via your phone and trust me, this works great when you get before home.

Very Impressive Wifi Outlet Module! I highly recommend
I constantly look for new and better smart home devices that are not permanent. I found this module last week and bought a four pack to compare against the current modules I use. As of this review, I have replaced 3 of my existing modules with these Amysen modules. The size is great. A little smaller than my existing Etekcity modules. I did take one apart(solidly built) to see how safe they were. I was pleasantly surprised to see the separation between the high current parts. Chances of arc-overs are very very low. The relay is a solid 10amp model and the esp8266 based controller is tried and true. They utilize the SmartLife ap and the Echo I use picked them right up. If you want to use Wifi outlet modules for a fan, light etc then these will suite you well. I really recommend these outlets. Get the 4 pack and you are good to go.

Some worthy smart plugs (with one downside)

Wow! You'll LOVE these!!!
Over the past several years I have been working with home automation products. I have tried a few makes of devices, SmartThings, several WeMo devices and some iDevices. Now these. Why? They're cheap & they're advertised as working with my "Alexa". Until this week, I never knew much about hooking up all this stuff with mysterious, black Amazonian cylinder, relying instead on the iPhone applications. The devices mentioned above tend to be a little flakey; losing connections, not responding, you know the usual stuff. So, I figured, "how much worse can this get?". Let this WeMo stuff lock my doors??? FORGET IT! Sooo... I ordered a set of these mini outlet devices. For about $10 each, how bad could it be? Wow, was I surprised!!! I had them set up and working through my little Amazonian friend in under 15 minutes. Oh, yes, that's three units up and working 100% within 15 minutes! Working in concert with the other stuff. No pain. No fuss. No muss. And reliable? Heck yeah!!! Alexa isn't telling me "A device is not responding". They're working absolutely perfectly! I'll buy these next time and the time after that and will absolutely recommend them without any reservations. I should mention that my router is a 2.4G/5G unit and I utilize band-steering, so 2.4G devices will home in on the 2.4G network and the 5G compatible devices will seek that network. These mini outlet units work wonderfully in my situation. If you do NOT have a 2.4G capable network, this will NOT be the device for you. For me, it's nothing short of totally awesome!

It was easy enough to install after
It works well - my first effort to install smart/wifi in the house. It was easy enough to install after ...I had to call my internet provider AT&T U-Verse and they adjusted my router and gave me separate network IDs for the 2.4 and 5.0 ghz. The smart plugs work on 2.4ghz and it wasn't working until I had a specific 2.4 ghz network. The app works well on both my iPhone and my android tablet, but I am surprised that I cannot get the app on my desktop computer.

Yes, it works with Alexa 2nd gen!
I can verify it works with Alexa 2nd gen. We've got Echo, Spot, and Dot. I can ask Alexa to turn any plug on or off. I can also control it via the Alexa app on my phone, or if you want to return to the Pleistocene, snatch up a bone and use it to manually poke the on/off button. Step 1: It was my first time adding any device for Alexa to control, and for using Smart Life. "Patience you must have." You need install the Alexa app as well as the Smart Life app. This is only required for setup of new or additional Smart Life devices. Once you complete all the steps you don't have to touch things any more. Step 2: Setup was initially quite aggravating. because Smart Life-Register wanted a "password". It just wants you to make up something(include a numeral). Write it down, it only asks once. Step 3: Plug the sockets into plugs. You will need to share your Wi-Fi password with the app. Now you're in the Matrix! You have to find the plugs in Smart Life first, ask it to share them with Alexa, then Alexa can find them. Step 4: Name your sockets. Ask Alexa to turn "named socket" on/off. Alexa is so powerful- to hear Her is to obey Her! Alexa did not make me write this. As far as I know, I am not a robot. Nobody paid me, gave me a discount , or even offered me a puppy to write this.

Great value for smart plugs!
These smart plugs are a great inexpensive option to make your appliances smarter without buying a hub or replacing items prematurely. This is my third brand of smart plugs, after TP-Link, Eufy, and now Amysen with these Amysen plugs being my biggest purchase of 4, whereas the others I have 2 and 1 respectively. I found wifi switches to be so great at connecting to my Alexa echo dot and making my lights and devices into hands free smart devices, that I decided to invest a little bit more money into buying some additional switches for other appliances in my house. I came across these Amysen smart outlets in a plug of 4 for a reasonable price point and decided to take a chance on it. They arrived quickly overnight which was surprisingly but I had no reason to complain as I quickly put them to work. The outlets were easy to pair and my Alexa device was connected to them in less than a few minutes end to end. I plugged it into some string lights, my TV, coffee maker, and toaster oven and I had them turning off in no time, it gave me piece of mind that I can turn off some devices when I out of the house and worried that I forgot about them Overall I think these plugs are a great value and are perfect for experienced smart home users or beginners. One suggestion I would say is to make the current rating for these plugs higher. My other smart plugs are rated for 15A while this is only rated for 10A. This would allow for a broader range of applications such as space heaters

The set-up was extremely easy and both plugs connected to my WiFi network on ...
The set-up was extremely easy and both plugs connected to my WiFi network on the first try and have not lost connection yet. Once I got everything working properly from my iPhone, I enabled the Alexa skill and I can now control devices from my Echo and Echo Dot units using Alexa. The app is pretty user friendly. It takes a little bit of exploring to discover all the functionalities. I like that I can schedule my devices to turn on and off at a certain time of the day. These plugs should be plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip. In addition, if you are going to plug a power strip into it in order to control multiple devices, you should not overload it as they have a 10 amp limit (Amps = Watts/Volts). A few household lamps should be fine. An air conditioner, space heater - no!

Great smart plug
Great smart plug! It works with the smart life phone app and was very easy to connect. After the app is downloaded to your phone ,you just click add device. It asks you to type in your wifi code and then it searches for available devices. This takes about a minute and then you are all set. You can control the plug right from your phone. You can set up a schedule or timer through the app and your devices can be turned on or off automatically at a set time. Makes life easier. Would recommend.
