I knew this unit would not be bright enough in daylight (none of them are), but purchased anyway. I was running a drain line and was looking for the path with the best slope. It worked great. Also bought some 3m 3430 reflective tape from Amazon to put on my homemade stadia rod. This tape reflects over 70% of the light that strikes it back in the direction of the source in a narrow cone . Even at 100 ft in broad daylight with about a 1" wide piece of this tape I could plainly see the green laser line on the stadia rod with the naked eye as long as I kept my eyes close behind and looking around the laser level. I used a small pair of binoculars (8X21 Tasco), also purchased at Amazon, to read out the elevations on the stadia rod. The only caution is not to look into the laser beam with the binoculars, only use it to see the diffused light reflecting from the stadia rod. The only caveat, if the sun is directly behind and in line with the the laser beam illuminating the reflective tape the reflection of the green laser line will be overwhelmed, since the sun will be reflected back also.

I bought this for placing the light fixture boxes in the ceiling of my my new kitchen, but it's great for leveling things along the wall too. I used it to also align the outlets along the wall, and I used it outside to level up the soffit board. The green was easy to see on the black sheathing, but I was on the shady side of the house. For the price, it can't be beat. A young man who lives in a tiny house by my barn is an electrician apprentice and I gave it to him when I was done with it. He uses it all the time.

Arrived in good shape and I have been using it for refinishing my basement. Works as described and is so much better than having to get out a level and chalk line to get things straight and level. The green light is bright enough for me working in a pretty well lit basement and casts across a 25ft room well. Would highly recommend for someone that can't justify $100 or $100s of dollars on a laser level that is a diy'r. For me this thing makes everything so much faster.

Great product for the money especially with the greenlight it does smell very much better in daylight compared to the red light which dissipates very fast and daylight

I should have purchased one of these years ago. It works great. Saves TONs of time when layout out almost anything. I use it to accurately mount a bunch of towel bars in bathrooms. also used it to PERFECTLY layout 32ft of wall to wall, floor to ceiling shelves in a garage. This device paid for itself in the first 10 minutes. I am happy.

This last level is great! I've needed a second laser for awhile and finally got around to the purchase. I hope it's as tough as the Bosch I've been using. But the green line is much crisper and more visible. My old laser doesn't have the manual lock feature which I'm sure I will use. nor does it have the plumb dots which will be super helpful.

Great device for lining up ceiling devices (lights, etc...). As an electrician it works well to line up holes to drill and devices to mount. Measure once with laser as opposed to each individual device. Works as well as more expensive lasers but at a much better price.

The laser works wonderfully and is a great alternative to the brand name ones. The parts that could be improved are the magnetic arm holder and nylon case. Both are pretty flimsy so buy a pelican case or something similar to protect everything. Otherwise it works perfectly.

This laser works better than any other I have tested. A friend of mine purchased a similar laser that was double the price. This one works much better. My only drawback is that it goes through batteries rather quickly, but it does not warrant a sub-5 star review. If you're looking for a Cross Line laser that projects on the walls AND CEILING, this is the one for you.

I tested this level as soon as I received it, against 1) a known good 4' bubble level, 2) a 36"x24" self-healing cutting mat used for a rotary cutter with a printed square grid, 3) a Bosch three-point red laser level, and 4) a good old fashioned plumb bob on a string. It was dead on level against all four of these, so I can trust it for my renovation projects (drywall framing, tiling, laminate flooring). Time will tell if it will last, and I will give an update if there is any issue encountered in the next year or so. The only thing I don't like about it is that when I mount it on a camera tripod, the 1/4" screw hole is so close to the adjacent laser aperture for the bottom spot beam, that the bottom beam gets blocked by the pan head on the tripod. I overcame that by just using a big rubber band to hold it to the pan head adapter and moving it around till the beam cleared the pan head adapter and could project on the floor. The L bracket included is great for sticking to steel, but my tripod is aluminum. I intend to make a flat steel offset bracket, about 3"x5/8", drilled and threaded for the 1/4"-20 tripod mounting screw at one end, and mount the level on the other end of the flat piece using the magnets in the level. That should give good clearance and be easier to adjust than the rubber band.
