These really ARE heavy duty

I got these ties to temporarily fasten wooden planks in fencing, that had come loose from the posts, until I could put screws in on the other side. So strength and ability to withstand the outdoor elements mattered. I got black, since I wanted them to fade into the dark dark background of the fence and not be as noticeable. These came in a closed clear package, in good shape. Each tie measured 13 3/4" in length, and 3/16" wide. I needed to attach several ties, end to end, for each plank, but after trying to attach ties to each other end to end without success, I had to look up the procedure on the internet. Once I learned how to do that, it was VERY easy. When I put the tie length around a plank, I then had to pull with all my might around a nearby post, to hold the plank in place, and link the two ends together. The ties were up to the task of me pulling on them as hard as I could, without stretching or breaking. I put one tie loop around the plank near the top, then around the nearby post, and put another tie loop around the plank near the bottom, also to around the nearby post. I stepped back and found that the black ties were barely visible against the dark fencing. I tugged on the plank; it was being held in place firmly by the tie loops. Several weeks have passed, with hot sun, numerous rainstorms, and one hail storm. The ties are holding up great. The planks don't seem to have moved at all. These ties did turn out to be heavy duty, as advertised, and worked perfectly for my purpose.

Superb multipurpose straps

Lifesaver is constructing and decorating a wedding canopy. Used to attach flowers, lights, and suspended covering. Leftover straps used to attach rope lights for exterior Christmas rope lights.
