One of the few boots that can survive my job
I work at a trash burning plant, our boots get covered in ash daily. The ash dries most boots out making them too tight, stiff and eventually crack. Many boots don't last 6 months. I've tried several other quality boots over the last 13 years and none of them hold up for even half as long as these. Almost everyone at my job uses only these boots and I tell all new employees not to waste their time with anything else. They are also unbelievably comfortable, right out of the box. No break in needed. I have never had a lace hook break off either, even with Kevlar laces. Other boots I use with Kevlar laces (because they hold up to the ash) the hooks eventually break off. These boots also have a nice tread that holds up very well, and that don't trap ash or mud like so many other boots. These boots also have support in the middle of the sole which means that the sole will not put pressure on the arch of your foot when walking up ladders. I have a wide foot, size 13 4e. I buy size 13 normal width for these boots and never get chafed by the sides of the steel toe like many other boots I have tried. This boot is also a great all around work boot, I have a pair that I wear at home that is several years old with no significant wear on it.

Better Than Advertised
Historically I've always purchased $50 - $60 work boots. I always felt that I got my money out of them, and while they held up, they weren't always the most comfortable choice. I decided to spend a little more money this time around to see if it was worth it. First time wearing these boots i was a little concerned because I was under the impression that they did not require a break in period. Within a couple of days, the shoes had broken in and are easily the most comfortable boots I've owned. They are also very water resistant, something that isn't necessarily advertised. Very happy with purchase.

Great Boot
Bought these as part of a 2-3 week contract that involved working in a production plant. They arrived on time. Fit was good. For those who might be concerned with style, they look great with jeans or chinos. They are not water proof, but I did put some mink oil on them which provided some water resistance. The boots broke in nicely with just a 1/4 mile walk around the neighborhood. No complaints. Read some reviews that talked about a back seam which caused irritation or blisters. I don't have such a seam on this pair. I would recommend probably doing half a size up if you are going to wear heavy socks. These fit me well but if I were to wear a pair of insulated socks I would probably want half a size up. All in all, a nice boot. Looks classy if you end up if the front office as opposed to the production plant side. Got plenty of compliments about them. Only negative side is they need some leather balm and a mink oil treatment before you put them into use. Beats boots I have tried on at Walmart or other similar "big box" stores. UPDATE: I noticed about 4-5 days after I purchased these the price went down significantly, about $30, they were still new in the box but I needed them in just a few days. I called Amazon to request a price adjustment seeing the difference was pretty stark. At first the agent told me they had a no price adjustment policy but I could return them and purchase a new pair. I pointed out that was pretty absurd seeing that I liked the item just the price change was about 30% in the just a few days. Plus I needed the item in about two days which would not have given the replacement enough time to ship. After being put on hold for a few minutes I think the agent got approval from the supervisor to simply credit my card. I was overall happy with the customer service experience, but almost every merchant has some sort of short term price adjustment policy. I know part of Amazon's business model involves "dynamic pricing" depending on demand, inventory, and supply, but to require a full return (with them paying the shipping) for an item just purchased in order to effectively get the lower price is both a waste of time/money for Amazon and a hassle for the consumer to have to mail back the entire product (especially during the holiday season). One further update, make sure to purchase the steel toe version of this boot if that is what you desire. There is a soft toe version that looks identically the same that is cheaper but does NOT have a steel toe. A friend found this out the hard way when he called me up to gloat he got a pair even cheaper then me. He was not so pleased with himself though when I asked if he got the steel toe version he required for work only to find out it was the soft toe one.

Comfortable after break in period...
I've been wearing these boots for 7 months now. For the first week they hurt around my ankles but I loosened up the boot strings until they got broke in, took about a week. Now they are so comfortable and there is a bit of wear on the soles, but I think they will last at least a year if not longer. I am a truck driver, in different environments constantly throughout the day (construction sites, factories, etc.) rain, snow, mud and these boots are holding up like a champ. I really like these boots and I recommend them.

Fantastic boots, but order a size larger!
SIZE WARNING! These boots run SMALL. I normally wear a 9.5 Medium width. In these shoes it took a 10.5 WIDE to fit my foot. I couldn't even get the 9.5 on my foot, so I returned them. Ordered the 10.5 Wide and they are perfect! The quality of this shoe is top of the line. everything thing about it is quality. Love these. Steel Toe works great. You can drop a brick on it and feel nothing. Soles are strong and flexible. The leather is wonderful. Worth every dime.

Thank you Amazon!
My husband recently had four pairs of Timberland's come unglued. He has always worn Timberlands and was wondering why they stopped sewing them and went to glue that doesn't last. Anyway, I decided to look at my favorite place (Amazon), and found these Timberlands that had sewed soles. I purchased one pair to make sure. When they were what we were looking for, I ordered another pair.

High quality
Got these for my boyfriend because he needed some new work boots. I just so happen to slip on his old ones when going outside to grab the mail so my feet wouldn’t get wet or cold. Granted yes his shoes are a whole lot bigger than mine but his old boots where so uncomfortable I couldn’t imagine how he could bare to wear them, so I decided then to buy him a new pair. I did my research (I looked for boots with things I thought would be important in a good work boot) and read many reviews and looked at lots of customer pics of their boots and these seem to have really good reviews and the owners where very pleased with the fit and the toughness of them. So I ordered them for him hoping I would get it right considering I don’t have a clue when it comes to these things. He was shocked that I ordered these boots for him and so far he is extremely pleased and impressed with them.

My...significant other(?!)
These are not the most comfortable boots I have worn...by a considerable margin. HOWEVER, these boots have saved my feet from injury on numerable occasions. The boots have also proven durable...my relatives and friends are now quite certain my feet have permanently meshed with the boots, since I wear them almost every day of the year. This is the third..fourth pair I have purchased in the last...12 years(?). I will be purchasing at least one more pair for future use, since it is now obvious these boots are more like a...life companion. 🤗

Best Steel Toed Boot in the $100 range- (Heck, in the $200 range!!!)
Been working in tube mill/steel mills for twenty five years and have been through the gamut with boots...as a penny pinching youth, I wore cheap boots from Wal-Mart and K-Mart; easy on the pocket but rather poorly made and ill fitting, esp when one is doing hard work on one's feet all day. But I made do, trying to save $$. I moved on, wisely, to higher end boots ala the Red Wings and Carolinas- and yes, these boots were and are indeed very capable steel toes boots (again, my line of work requires steel toes). I ended up regularly dishing out $160-$190 a pair and thought that was the required price to pay for boot that offered comfort, durability and safety. It was only a few years ago that I came across these boots...hmmmm..Timberland? Wasn't a brand that popped to mind when considering steel toe work boots, I thought- now gone through many a known brand (the aforementioned RW's, Carolina, Iron Age, Caterpillar, Apaches, and Wolverines....but considered "Timberland" to be a recreational boot. My curiosity was piqued) Fast forward to three years later. I now make it a point to purchase only these, my size is 11.5 and I can order, sight unseen and they fit like a glove (er, or like a shoe :-D) right from the get go. I've never had a boot so comfortable- and this last pair lasted me a whole year, and I wear them daily and my job in the mill is active, rigorous and hard on footwear. I'm ordering again as I type (two pairs) as the cost is so reasonable that I'll flip em every six months now. Best $100 pair of boots you'll find. Highly recommended

plain and simple, these are the hard working mans boot.
This is my 5th pair of these boots, I Buy a new pair about every year. These pit boss timb pro's are my money makers. They are simply a rugged and comforitable long lasting bad a$$ work boot. I work in an industrial environment always indoors working on concrete, Always soaked in hydraulic/gear oil on a regular basis they still hold up like champions, haven't had a blowout yet. I refuse to buy another boot. These things are the blue collar hard working mans bread and butter.
