I love this bowl. It was a Christmas present but I picked it out. I am so glad that I didn’t let the negative reviews scare me away. It is perfect and smooth. I first saw a yarn bowl at a craft fair but it was ceramic. They wanted a lot of money for it. So I started looking into it. I found this one. I didn’t have to worry about it breaking as easy since it’s wood and not ceramic. The crochet hooks it comes with are gorgeous. Just like with anything, there may be a few imperfected items that make it through quality control. That’s the only explanation I can come up with for the negative reviews. This really is an amazing beautiful bowl. The yarn glides smooth through the holes. I didn’t have to sand down anything. I can’t believe I how I managed to crochet without this in my life before now. Of you are contemplating getting this, order it now. You will not regret it. Love it. The ball I have in the picture is a new ball and is 3.5 ounces. So plenty of room for a much larger ball of yarn. I also used it with a skein that I didn’t roll to a ball and it worked fine too. Just works better with an actual ball.

perfect sized smooth wooden knitting bowl

This bowl is the perfect size in that it fits even a ball of super bulky yarn such as Malabrigo Rasta. The finish is smooth and lovely and the yarn feeds very smoothly through the slot. It weighs just enough so that even a super bulky ball as aforementioned will not cause it to tip over or move but is not so heavy or large that it cannot fit into a knitting bag. The 2 wooden crochet hooks are lovely and of an antique style that makes me want to learn how to crochet! The seller shipped and delivered at lightening speed and all in all I couldn't be more thrilled. I would definitely recommend both this product and seller to a friend.

Lovely bowl

I ordered two of these, one arrived damaged, but the seller quickly took care of the issue and I ordered a new one and just received it. They are very pretty with lovely wood, and the bowl is quite deep so you can keep your yarn contained. It is heavy enough not to be easily pulled off of a surface when yarn gets cranky. Very happy with the purchase. The two hooks that come with it are fine, pretty and also wood, though I do wish they were marked with what size they are. I’m not sure I will remember they are a J and an H, or which is which, as the only time it is mentioned is in the description of the item on Amazon. I recommend this product - a beautiful and functional addition to any crocheter’s decor!

This bowl I beautiful and I love it. I also like the Crochet hooks that cam with it. I have only ever used metal hooks and now I can try wood hooks. It came in a velvet bag that was beautiful. The quality of the bowl seems very good(I will know for sure when my 3 year-old ends up nocking it off something) and the swirl is nice and smooth, perfect for yarn.
