Exceeded my expectations.

Update: I have since borrowed this bag for a trip out of town over the weekend and am adding a star because: I packed so much stuff in this thing! I had a bunch of bottled water, road snacks, chargers, plus 4 days worth of clothes. Even though it weighed a ton, it held up and the shoulder strap didn't cut into me at all. Original review: I bought this bag because it looked good, and my husband was taking my little red carry on for his business trips. Which is fine, but also conspicuously not his style. So I bought this because it looked handsome and it was inexpensive, and he wanted a duffel for 3 day trips. I should start my review by telling you that I've worked with leather and making leather bags & goods in the past, so I'm picky about construction and hardware. First impression is that the bag is heavy. That's normal for waxed canvas. I wasn't sure if this would be authentic waxed canvas, but it is. It feels like cotton duck that's had a paraffin coating. There's no oil / wax odor, so that's a big plus. I was concerned that the metal reinforcements would be largely decorative, but they're real. The leather is decent, and real. The zipper is heavy duty! Yes! I expected it to look like a tough bag, I didn't expect it to feel and function like a utility bag. Also it holds 3 days worth of clothes, toiletries, chargers perfectly. I'll update at some point of an actual photo of what it holds. It's got a typical weekender capacity. It's a decent bag. I am pleasantly surprised. Oh! One more thing. When you get it, it's dense and folded from shipping and looks less than attractive. Waxed canvas softens with warmth, so I stuffed mine with a few bed pillows and used a blow dryer on it to get it into shape. That way it didnt look like a smashed raisin when I gave it to him.

Good bag.

Good bag. Holds a week of work clothes, bootjack, shaving kit, accessory kit with shoe polish & stuff, a bottle of Mountain Dew, with room left over. The little zipper pocket on the side holds the pocket stuff when I have to go through a baggage xray machine and metal detector. Sturdy brass zippers. Just what I needed.

Big thanks to amazon for on Time delivery. Husband got a business trip to Dallas planned for a week and he so wanted a duffel bag like this. I literally ordered without any research because of it looks. Arrived just one time before my husband’s flight. He stuffed almost the entire house in this bag but it still had some room left. It’s perfect size for trips and getaways too. The material is very great, leather canvases nylon. I always love the ease of browsing through products on Amazon and not hopping from one to another stores for items like this. Really loved the bag.

Stylish bag, Quality material!

I've been traveling a lot lately and needed a duffel bag that would allow me to pack my things very easily. I've been using traditional suitcases for too long and am a bit bored by the drab black on black. This canvas is very heavy duty, the straps are leather, and there it comes with a sling as well as some feet on the bottom. I love the weathered look. I got the brown one, but I believe it also comes in grey. I don't know if it's waterproof, but I feel very stylish and important carrying this bag around. If in doubt, get this one. It's a large size and the inside is lined with a silky material so your things won't get damaged.

Looks really nice and seems to be well made

Got this for my husband for Father's day. The only bag he had for short trips and stuff was a Puma duffel bag and I thought this will be a good upgrade. He loves it. Waxed canvas is thick and has a nice feel to it, leather seems to be of good quality, the straps are comfortable, pockets are perfect, and it looks really nice and classy. This is a grown man's bag. Many of the 1 star reviews here are about the zipper, so we'll see how it holds up.

Great size to fit everything.

Definitely a good weekender bag to fit everything you need. I didn't expect it to be that big but it is quite large, which is definitely helpful if you just want to carry one bag on the go. I also like the lining inside and how thick it is. The waterproof material outside and the thick lining will definitely keep things inside dry. I also like the outside pouch, which is a perfect spot for your phone or keys.

Sturdy Nice Looking Bag

This is a heavy duty bag with lots of room for everything I need on short trips. The canvas and leather feel like high quality material, and the interior lining is soft with pockets and a zipper. My only issue is when I carry it without filling it up, it doesn’t hold its shape as well as I’d like when I use the shoulder strap. It kind of folds up in the middle. That’s probably just because the material is so flexible, and there’s not a solid base in the bottom. It’s not a real problem since I’m sure I’ll keep it full with everything I pack. I’m gonna be using this bag on all my trips.

Rugged, Durable, Strong, Chic, Great Size ..

I love bags! I like to be prepared and that means traveling with lots of bags. I usually use backpacks and Vera Bradley duffel bags until I found this one. I love that it is rugged! It's tough and looks it, while looking very chic! I feel like I can throw it around with no worries, it's great! The straps and clasps are super strong. It's big enough for me to throw all my items in and not worry about it breaking. I am loving this canvas material and purchased a shoulder sling also.

I love the rolled handles

I purchased this item for my friend who is an executive with a company and makes frequent overnight trips to other parts of the country. My friend loves this. It was his Christmas gift , for business trips and weekend getaways. He loves the rich brown color and the smooth softness of the fabric. It is soft, yet it has structure. The lining seems durable. The zippers move smoothly. I love the rolled handles. I think this is the nicest, and the price is terrific.
