I ordered this product because the (3) local hardware stores didn't have the right length. For landscaping contractors (or homeowners with large properties) who use walk behind commercial mowers: this product is exactly what you need to be sure gas shock on your Proslide Sulky "skid plate" doesn't become disconnected. The problem I had is that the manufacturer provides a stud (just like this one) to connect the gas shock from the mount on the machine to the Proslide Sulky that is too short. The bolt provided by the manufacturer gave me about an 1/8th of an inch of thread to connect the gas shock into the mount and tighten down the nut on the backside. This creates a problem because of the vibrating from the sulking moving over the ground as much as it does, the smaller bolt was actually boring out the hole in the mount and creates a lot of play in the sulk itself. At one point, this extra play that resulted from the bolt boring out the hole in the mount enabled the nut to unscrew itself and detach the gas shock from the machine! By installing this longer stud, there is additional thread available to properly tighten down the gas shock which prevents the extra play and movement of the sulky when cutting grass. I hope this helps.

These are so handy in replacing old style gas shocks with newer up to date styles. Used this for the back window hatch on my Jeep CJ hard top. the originals were very noisy with spring sounds. Now with the use of these studs and regular gas shocks it is perfect and up to date.

I bought a Jeep CJ-7 a few months ago, and the hardtop on it did not have struts, or even studs to mount them. After some quick research, I found this to be the size I needed and they fit right where the originals did! Sturdy so far and very easy to install, all I needed was a ratchet and a wrench to fasten them down, and these are probably much cheaper than anything offered by aftermarket Jeep websites and catalogues. If you’re in need of some ball studs for struts, or whatever else you may need them for, this is the way to go.

Bought a gas shock that came without new ball joints. So after a quick amazon search I found these. For me I could have used 3/8 thread instead of 5/16 but these work fine for the price and got them fast.

If you need a replacement for your aftermarket hood dampeners then these are great. I needed to replace one side of my hood dampeners and I had to source missing parts. Luckily I found these and I got extra for the future.

I used these when I replaced the shocks on my SnugTop cover. Didn’t have to replace the old ones, but for the price, I figured why not. Easy install for anyone.

I used these ball studs for lift supports on a tonneau cover on a pickup truck. They were easy to install and seem like a sturdy, high quality product.

These ball studs were as advertised and super fast shipping. A winner and highly recommend.

My gas struts snapped right onto the ball studs and the nuts threaded on fine - well machined parts!

Everything was exactly as advertised and expected. It worked perfectly on my tool cart lid. Just had to make sure I measured everything correctly before ordering.
