Fixed my 2014 Ford Flex not starting issue
Was driving my 2014 Ford Flex all day with no issues. Son calls me to pick him up from work. Go out to the Flex and it will not start. Engine would turn over but acted like it was not getting any gas. As it was the first day of really cold weather and 10 inches of snow, I was worried I had frozen water in my fuel line. I let the car sit and warm up the next day and still would not start. Was about to get the car towed when I decided to do some research and discovered there was a recall on Ford Flex's with the Ecoboost engine for the Fuel Pump Relay, but not for those with the non-Ecoboost engine. Did a little more research and found that they basically use the same fuel relay module. Not sure why they only did the recall on the Ecoboost engine and not all of them. Found a youtube video that explains how to swap it out. Literally takes 10 minutes to do and it is easily accessible from inside the car on the passenger side b-column next to the seatbelt harness. Anyways decided taking a shot on replacing the module was the cheapest possible option with a likely outcome of it working. Could only find one locally in stock at Autozone and they wanted $85.00. (It is only $70 at the dealership). Found the same brand one they used in the youtube video here on Amazon for $40, delivered the next day. Got it today, replaced the module and the car fired right up. Saved a ton of money versus tow and mechanic to fix. Sometimes it just takes a little research. This appears to be a fairly common issue.

Made my vacation visitation a success 838 miles from home
I'm a mechanic and I have an 09 f150 xlt 4.6L with 216k miles on. I travelled thru 3 states to Minnesota for a visit and after arriving, my truck will only crank almost continuously but won't start. After a good # of trials, it started and there off consistent a few times. I took it to the store the say after the incident and after shopping, same thing happened at the parking lot. I checked relays and fuses( fuel pump, ignition) all was good. I thumped on the fuel tank and it started at trial after that. I knew it had a FPDM. I inspected noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Starting was still intermittent. I orederd this FPDM and has it delivered at my visitation address and I replaced the module. I didn't need to drop the spare tire. From LR tire well, I could see it but couldn't reach it. In my case, it's held by 2 10m bolts on the chasis cross member. Pushed tab a released electrical plug. Since after replacement, I used my truck as usual and travelled back from MN to OKC stopping 5 times on my way and never had any slight hesitation in starting. So my take is, if your problem is this part, then it'll work. Make sure you don't have a bad relay or fuse. Not having adequate tools, I had to go with my mechanical intuition to replace a less involving part. A bad fuel pump would've been a shop's job since I had a full tank and almost not tools.

This fixed the problem.
I have an issue with the fuel pump cutting out. Even the Ford dealer didn’t know what was causing a wrench icon on the info display. Problem was, these generic code readers read any codes. It wasn’t until I got FORScan for my laptop that works with the elm327 adapter that I found stored code indicating fuel pump driver module lost coominications. I ordered this and it fixed the problem, and the wrench icon went away. The freaking ford service department didn’t know what the wrench icon meant!

2013 - 2015 Ford Taurus
My 2015 Ford Taurus SEL would crank but not start, and after some research it turns out this part was on recall a few years back. I replaced it in about five minutes, and was able to start the car like nothing even happened. All the parts stores around me were charging about $75 for it, so it's much cheaper here on Amazon.

Replace fuel pump relay module before the $1000.00 fuel pump assembly
I have a F150 2010 4x4, and a mechanic told me I needed a fuel pump assembly, I found a YouTube video that said it maybe this part because after they had replaced their fuel pump assembly the truck acted up again and they replaced the fuel pump relay and wished they had started with this instead and saved $1000. I had my son install, he dropped the spare unplug. unscrewed 2 bolts and then installed the new fuel pump relay plugged it in bolted down and replaced my spare.. $50 and my truck is like new.

Works. if this fits your vehicle, get it.
I don't know if my fuel relay was bad, but i replaced it anyhow as part of a fuel system service. This relay is the same fit and form of the OEM model, and seems to work just great!

If your having a problem with fuel in your Ford, check this first.
I planned on having my mechanic friends replace the fuel pump in my ford but came upon a YouTube vid with the exact issue I was experiencing. I figured since I was having the fuel pump replaced, why not replace the module as well. I installed it myself and the car started. Awesome!!!

Arrived quickly and works as advertised.
Hardest part of install was removing the trim panel. Less than half the price of installation through repair shop.

Easy Install!!
Great item that saved me about $1000's of dollars because no one knew my issue but a guy on YouTube.
