AWESOME
I have to say, I am a big VONT fan as I have several of their products and have never been disappointed and this light is no exception. I appreciate the quality and styling of this light and no battery worries with the included usb charging cord. Three touch brightness settings are a very nice feature. The lamp head is large enough to turn sideways to illuminate two pages of your book, easy to adust to any position and the clip is strong and substantial. I have used other brands that met the trashcan. Been waiting on this well made and attractive lamp. If you are into instructions, which is really not needed with this lamp, the font is so small, it is difficult to read without a magnifying glass. I would highly recommend this lamp. Thanks again VONT for a great product!

great light.
i like this light. full disclosure i didnt buy it for reading. i just like being able to see. i go camping a lot and next time i go im taking this light. so first, no batteries, instead you get a usb charger cable which i prefer, less waste less cost. second, the clip, its big but in a good way. it can clip onto almost anything which was a huge plus for me but i imagine if youre reading Bleak House you would have no problems clipping it on there. third, the light, with several led bulbs this light can get bright...but it doesnt have to. using the super easy touch pad on the clip you can adjust it to three settings. four if you include off. fourth, the neck is pretty long longer than ive seen on most booklights so you can really adjust it to any angle. there is one negative but it isnt that bad. the touch pad is super sensitive. youre gonna accidentally press it anytime you handle the clip, but like i said...its not a big deal. it isnt a loaded weapon, its a light, youll be fine. if youre looking for a good light this is a great one for reading or just having a light right where you need it. im gonna clip mine on the nightstand that way i can have a small non-blinding light anytime i may happen to stir during the night and need to get up or just have a look around.

Convenient, Rechargeable Clip Light
This light feels well built, and arrived promptly in excellent condition for a good price. Pros: - Rechargeable, so no need to worry about batteries - Can stand on its own, or be clipped on to a surface - Large clip! - Multiple levels of brightness allow for numerous usecases - Matte light covering reduces glare, and makes it less painful if someone looks directly into the light (esp. kids) - The touch on feature is a nice touch (sorry for the pun) - The flexible neck is convenient Cons: - The clip is not padded, so it might scratch the surface it's clipping on to - Kinda bulky for clipping directly onto anything I'm holding (I guess I am more used to a smaller light) I am looking forward to using this light in a (potentially) unconvential usecase; I plan to use it as a light for home repair projects. I have a very dark basement, and not many convenient portable light sources. Overall, I think this is a great product for a good price, and I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it.

Good features, overly large base and clip
I have had experience with other reading lamps, and this one is pretty good. The best part is a built in rechargeable battery so you don't have to worry about coin or AAA batteries. Variable brightness is good too, as the brightness you want depends on ambiance brightness. The on-off touch sensitivity is very high. That's good for random groping to turn things on and off, but is annoying while handling it and clipping it on. Also because it cycles through the brightness levels, keep in mind that you will need to flip through super-bright to get it turned off, even just before bed in a pitch black room. Slightly annoying. The clip is super strong. I would hesitate to clip this directly to a paperback book, unlike some other lights I've used, but if you are clipping to a headboard or something, this will definitely stay put. One unexpected feature is that the base is fairly large, with anti-slip strips on the base. This allows the light to stand on its own unclipped and still articulate fully. Finally, it still lights while charging, so if the battery dies you can just plug while reading.

CLIP ON THREE LIGHT LEVELS
I own both this model and the Vont Clip On Book Light, Rechargeable Music Stand Light, Made From 10 LEDs, Orchestra Lamp with Adjustable Neck, Use as: Reading Light, USB Desk Lamp & More So the big question is what is the difference the Clip on Book is larger and has 10 vs 12 LED, The old model is a bit more clunky works well, but this new model appears to be lighter in weight, I like the three light levels available and it has a bit more style. The light switch is very sensitive and I was changing levels by handling the clip. I think based on the strength of the clip I might prefer to clip onto a table vs a book. The light is easy to use out of the box and charges with a standard USB connector which while the usb to standard plug does not come with this model I have more of these in my house then I need and many on my desk and bedside. I selected the white, but in going back on the site it is also available in , black. I own a lot of Vont products and while they look similar to others on the market, I am happy to say I have had great luck with the product quality. The light from this unit is softer then the Music Stand light and I do like it better. If you need a rechargeable clamp on light this will work great, I can see using this in my shop to light up detailed items as it is portable and works with out being plugged in. I can not yet comment on battery life because I have only used it out of the box, I hope to update this review on that point if I have a change.

Tight durable clip, perfect size, flexible stand, cordless but comes w/charger, just tap to operate.
I am so very empressed with this light. It over exceeded my expectations. The clip is very strong and tight and will clip on the smallest of edges and stay put... I bought it for my little boys desk that he wanted for Christmas and the rim edge is very narrow but the light clipped on very well and hasn’t moved.. The arm from the clip to the light is a soft rubber texture and it is bendable so u can adjust it to any position. The light has a soft soothing cover. Not too bright or too dim on any 3 modes. The light as a whole is the perfect size and very impressed with its durability. And my absolute favorite feature is one that I didn’t even know it had! I just came across the light; loved the look of it and breifly read over the description. But anyways it is touch sensitive to dim or brighten... It has 3 different modes of light and just takes a light tap to again change the brightness. It comes with a charger so it does NOT have to be plugged in all the time. So it would even be great for travel and if needed charged; its charger fits any cell port. (Wall or car charger) Have been using it on and off daily for a week now and have only charged it once and not because it was dead but just thought maybe I should. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.. I am so very excited and pleased that I found this product. I am actually getting ready to order 3 more because they are so handy anywhere and any room in the the house and not to have to drag a cord around or be close to a plug in. I have told EVEEYONE about this product. Thank you. You have a TERRIFIC product.

Excellent No Hands Light
I was surprised by the size, in a good way. The movable “arm” that you can position the light with is actually longer then I expect which makes it more useable. The light charged pretty fast and is a little touchy on turning on when you are clipping it to something but that’s not a real negative since when you want to turn it on or change the light setting it just takes a light touch. The three settings are nice and at the brightest it gives enough light for what it is meant to do. For me it provides light when I am working on or building something so I can see it better. I have great lights at my workbench but there are times I want to work on something somewhere else and this will provide the extra light I need. I have been using a flashlight but positioning a flashlight just right is a pain. I would buy this again and wish I had found it sooner it would of saved me a lot of grief trying to see when working on tiny objects.

Great Light!!
I purchased this to use as a clip light but ended up using it as a desk light. The base is very solid but the whole lamp is fairly moveable and it's light, not too heavy. I have it on the end table by my sofa. I can use it for reading without turning on one of the tall lamps, but it's also perfect to turn on briefly to find the remote or find something that I dropped. The touchpad is quite sensitive so if I'm moving it I try to grab it by the neck, not the base. When I received it the lamp turned on so it had some charge, but the instructions said to charge it for 12 hours before the first use. I was excited and wanted to use it right away, so that was a letdown. A minor point is that it's supposed to run 4-8 hours depending on the setting. I got 5-6 on the lowest setting. However I did turn it on and off several times so maybe that was why. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and will probably be getting a second one.

Very functional, thoughtful design
I got this light to be able to read or look around my room without disturbing my newborn. I’ve only tried it once so far but it is top notch! I love that it has three light settings. I appreciate the touch sensor because it isn’t a noisy button I have to click. I even tried the clip on multiple objects and it is strong. I also like that it stands sturdily without being clipped. I don’t yet know how long the battery lasts, but mine came with some charge in it already. I love it and am going to bring it camping as a reading light!

Overall happy purchase
Perfectly working, The brightness surpasses my expectations - cozy warm light at its lowest and daytime-readable light at its highest, which satisfies me at most. I also like its flexible neck. I often get its head faced the ceiling while using a cellphone in the bed. Since it is a USB port connected lamp, I am not worrying about purchasing batteries for it. One thing I dont like is the clip on bottom, but I didnt expect too much for it because of its affordable price. Maybe I’ll have to go find a cable tie to get it sticked to my bed frame since my frame cant hold it. Pros 1. 3 different brightness of the light 2. Affordable price 3. Flexible neck 4. No batteries needed (USB chargable) 5. White simple design Cons 1. The clip can be a little unstable, so you may look for something to tie or bind (a cable tie or a thin yellow circular rubber band) - but it is sort of negotiable when you consider the price. (Im okay with it)
