Easy to use, geometry as good as scanners costing 7 times as much.
First of all, I love this thing! I've used a few turntable style scanners in the past but this has to be the best, especially at the price point. Unboxing to good scan was under an hour, including calibration and initial software/hardware setup. I only scan for the mesh and not the texture so I can't comment on the color quality. The software absolutely will guide you through every step so even if you've never scanned before, you won't have an issue. Some of the online reviews I've seen are a bit dated on two points. First is that you can now save your project and come back to it. Second is the calibration board, the SE had a foam board one earlier but now it's a rigid plastic. Much sturdier than the last. I've heard a few complaints that the software is really a host of applications running under a GUI but I see that as a plus for stability reasons. I use mine for scanning object that will then be cut with a CNC router and couldn't be happier with the results. I did have some presale questions and emailed the manufacturer, the response was prompt and answered my question completely. If you're on the fence about this unit, I recommend you go ahead and get it.

Great machine worth the price
I use an Artec EVA and a Faro arm for reverse engineering. This scanner is unbelievable at the price. It scans better than my EVA. The software is easy to use, but could use more adjustments for power users. Overall, this is a no brainer to purchase.

Too Easy to Believe!
Wow! I set this up on the counter in my bathroom for the darkness. Followed the instructions (had to go online -- the instructions inside are in Chinese -- no biggie) to first calibrate and then scan a hand carved bird to duplicate for my cuckoo clocks. Amazing how quick and easy it was! After the first scan I turned the bird and scanned again. Right on the screen you can rotate and see if there are any holes. There were, so I rotated the bird and did a third scan. Clicked "mesh" and it did so. (The bird in blue is the meshed bird in the Einscan software.) Then I saved it as an .stl file. Couldn't believe that was all there was to it! Even better, it printed beautifully in my Makerbot. My dinner guests the next night were absolutely amazed when I ran a print before their eyes. This opens doors for me and my business. Thank you Einscan!

Fantastic scanner
This is an EXCELLENT scanner for the money. It picks up so much detail & the software seamlessly knits separate scans together. For big scans, you have to remove the turntable from the equation & take several still scans. We had to get a patch for the software for tech support, but once that was done everything worked great.

It works well
It works fine although a bit pricey. You can even make it scan the bottom and top of an object to get a complete scan by re-positioning the object--at first I thought you can only scan the sides. It suits my needs just fine.

High quality scans
Very impressed, high quality scans at exact ratios. Make sure you have a computer that is beefy enough to handle the scans. A scan of a golf ball will easily have 2.5 Million facets. There are several settings in the software to adjust the quality of the scan and how many times the turntable rotates the object.

Fourth time lucky!
I bought a low cost scanner; the scans were atrocious. Then I built one - that was terrrible. Then I struggled for six weeks to make an Eora 3d scanner work, without getting anything usable. The first scan I made with the einscan was superb. It took 90 minutes from unpacking to result. The hardware just works. Calibration is easy. The software is self explanatory. Finally a 3 D scanner that is affordable and works! Six stars.

Fantastic product
It's my first 3D scanner. Did lots of research and bought this one. It's a fantastic product. Every print I've made so far is superb.
