Glad I decided on this ranger finder. Since I own three Luepold scopes I already had in narrowed down between the Leupold 1,600 TBR and the 2,800 TBR-W yard. The extra 1,200 yards is well worth the extra $120.00. Accurate to less than a yard a 1.6 miles. The wind factor is calcuated up to a 20 mph 90 degree crosswind. Only problem with todays high power optics is Im not even close to being as accurate as the otpics available.

Superb

I just returned a Vortex that was about $100 less. It was unable to range a 4'x4' white steel plate on an overcast day at 700M while mounted to a tripod. This represents about ideal conditions for a laser rangefinder. Boy does this Leupold blow the Vortex out of the water. I drove around testing it out today and was able to range targets out to 1,700M handheld from an unsupported position. Simply amazing! Cannot recommend this unit enough, for ELR shooting, I can't imagine a more useful tool.

Fast and accurate.

Quick and accurate. Makes my arc 1000 look horrible. Scan is useful but takes a second to catch up. I've ranged rocks out to 1700+. Well worth the money.
