The yarn was listed as great for beginners. That is just what I am. I am sure there are better products available at a higher price and better quality. For my purposes it was perfect. Until I learn more about the art of felting, I will probably order this again and from this dealer. Very pleased overall with the transaction.

Fun project good product

Great starter kit! Small amount of wool per each color, but this is not a minus, since it’s compensated by the diversity of colors. This allows you to go wild with creativity and make interesting small objects (my daughter “ordered” me a flower with 6 petals, each of a different color – wish granted, my dear! :). Just got it and I LOVE IT! Very nice wool, smooth and soft, pretty colors. My kid cannot wait for the weekend to come so we start making some of the projects in the ebook! One comment, just in case (although I think it is obvious). If you’re interested in creating big objects, be aware that the quantity of wool is rather small for each color. It is more than enough for a beginner’s set, though. Also, the free ebook is super helpful, with plenty suggestions for small projects. All in all, nice and useful felting kit, happy camper here.

Great beginner kit!

Loving this kit! I wanted to try felting and was looking for something inexpensive that would provide the supplies needed to give me a decent idea of what this craft was about. This kit DID NOT disappoint! Was super easy to use and provided a ton of color options. There is a card inside that gives simple instructions and a url to download a free set of instructions for some craft ideas (I did not use it). The instructions are quite clear and I found quite a bit of luck watching YouTube videos of others, showing how to felt. This is a great activity for me to do while watching tv, after everyone has gone to bed. Doesn't take much room or concentration. Just overall fun!

Perfect Needle Felting Beginner Kit

A fantastic starter kit for learning needle felting. The kit includes everything you need; I made several projects in the accompanying Ebook before moving on to the project I was learning the craft for -- so far, so good! Materials and tools are perfect for a beginner, although band-aids would have been nice 😁. The big bag of wool colors is great for small projects or to add detail to larger things. Great value!

The needle felting kit itself is awesome! It has every tool to help a beginner start out! I would say the same as many other people regarding the wool amounts: the size of the colors is quite tiny (palm sized when packaged, when stretched out about as long as my hand) but there is quite a variety! Here is the shade ratio (at least in my order) for anyone who's curious! Reds: 3 Oranges: 4 Yellows: 3 Greens: 4 Blues: 4 Teals: 3 Purples: 4 Pinks: 4 Browns: 3 Then 1 black, 1 grey, and 2 whites. (I also did what some other users recommended and ordered a large supply of white to fill out my creations, and so I can save and add color as i see fit.) Have yet to check out the ebook, but I'm excited to!

Very nice

This kit is perfect and comes with everything you need. I had seen a few beginner's how-to videos on YouTube that made no mention of finger guards, so I never would have known about them. They certainly came in handy and I got through my first project without hurting myself once. I love the variety of colored wool included. You can make literally anything you want. Needle felting was easier than I'd expected and I may start experimenting without set instructions but I'm glad the ebook came with it to give me a chance to practice basic principles. I've only done one project so far but I got through it without breaking a needle so I'm happy about that. I honestly wouldn't mind buying a second kit to have a back up for all my tools and to double the huge collection of wool it came with.

Wonderful starter kit!!!

This is my first needle felting kit and I LOVE it!! The finger guards saved me from so very many stab wounds. So far I haven't broken a needle, but I know it will happen eventually (that's just how it goes according to my research). I've done a couple of small projects, starting with the basic shapes included in the kit, and then doing my own thing. This kit sets you up for a lot of small projects. I was surprised how far each color went. I got a bunch of un-dyed roving to use for larger projects, so I can do the bulk of it without color and add the color to the top. You can also use foam or something to put in the middle of large pieces and layer roving on top. So many possibilities!!!!! I recommend this kit to anyone who wants to try out needle felting!!

Well worth the money!

This is my first time with felting and I'm having so much fun with this kit!! I debated about ordering it, but glad I took a chance. It had everything I need and that makes it so convenient. The wool is great and I'm able to make 3 balls out of each packet for a Christmas garland I'm doing. Very happy with my purchase!

My 9 year old niece loved it

Bought this kit for my 9 yr old niece that's all into arts & crafts. She got this kit as a gift for Easter along with other presents and immediately opened it and wanted to start making something out of it. Mom and daughter spent the entire evening doing animals and other creations. The included e-book was pretty helpful. Kit comes with a bunch of accessories such as needles, finger guards and a pair of really sharp and pointy scissors. Highly recommend it for 9+ year olds that are into arts & crafts.
