All so amazing
Fell in love with biltong after a trip to S Africa. Haven’t really seen it around where I live. So glad to have found this 3 pack. All three flavors are delicious & so incredibly better than jerky. Peri peri might be my favorite but so hard to say because they’re all so yummy

Very Tasty
I first ran across the word Biltong in a book I was reading. The main character was enjoying a freshly made batch. My husband and I started the Keto diet and were looking for a snack other than Jerky. The Biltong is just the right amount of chewy and not salty. My cats gather when the bag is opened.

Kalahari Biltong Is Better Than Jerky
Kalahari is the real deal, as good as Braaitime, making the two best American biltong brands I've tasted. If you can't get deer biltong (which you can't), there's nothing better than thin-sliced beef made from the original South African recipe. I dare you not to eat the whole bag at once. If you think it's expensive, try making your own. You want the most tender beef and it shrinks to at least half its original weight, so by the time you've spent days of labor on it, you can see why the Kalahari biltong is well worth the price.

Never buying so-called “jerky” from the grocery store again!
Wow, this is delicious! I was looking for a beef jerky with no sugar. Thought I would give this a try, I had never heard of this product before. It arrived today and I dug in. I will never buy beef jerky at the store again! What a difference! It actually looks like real meat! It’s soft and not like eating a chunk of leather! It’s thinly sliced and seasoned perfectly. The flavor is great Which just goes to show you don’t need chemicals and sugar for jerky to taste fantastic!

Born again meat eater: Biltong > Jerky
Didn't quite know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised with this Kalahari Biltong. Found it to be a delicious alternative to jerky. Where jerky can be super hit-or-miss, often leathery and tough, this Biltong was tender and filling. The other major plus is the ingredient list. While I like the idea of Jerky as a snack (quick, easy protein), I'm always put off/grossed out by all of the artificial ingredients, sugar, preservatives, etc. This Biltong has a much cleaner bill of ingredients; feel much better about what I'm putting in my body. Also has great flavor - in fact, much more than expected. I imagine people who like an intense flavor profile will particularly like it. Also keeps well. Took it in my car yesterday, opened it and had some on the way to a hike, left it in the car, and it was still in perfect shape when I got back from the hike and polished off the rest of the bag. While I was initially bummed that there wasn't more in the package, it was quite a bit more filling than expected. What I also realized is that jerky tends to be in bigger chunks and can sit higher in the bag, giving the illusion that there's more in there. The Biltong sits lower in the bag because it's not as tough, so the pieces fold and gather toward the bottom. With that in mind, I found it to be at least reasonably similar in overall volume to what I get with high-quality jerky for about the same price, though I actually found the Bilton more filling and satisfying. In conclusion, I still enjoy Jerky and will probably grab it from time to time when it's the best available option (e.g. at a middle-of-nowhere gas station), but when I have the choice (e.g. sitting in front of Amazon right now), I'll definitely re-order this Kalahari Biltong in bulk.

Your product arrived sound and save and we're looking forward to enjoying it!
In all honesty I've not opened the little precious parcel of very sought after biltong. We are ex-South Africans who appreciate this delicacy. We've just moved to California and are hoping to make our own batch as soon as the weather is favourable. As this was quiet an expensive purchase, I'm saving it for my husband as a Christmas treat!! From what I could smell after opening the envelope, it should be very yummy (right mix of spices) ! You seemed to have gotten the recipe right! (This coming from a farm girl who used to make their own batches of biltong throughout the year.)

THE BEST MEAT
Wow! My first experience with biltong was mind blowing thanks to the brilliant people at Kalahari. This stuff is a million times better than jerky. I loved the subtle spiciness of the peri peri flavor (spiciness lightweights might disagree) was very pleasant the tenderness of the beef was incredible. I wish it wasn't as expensive and then I'd be eating this stuff all the time. Definitely a nice treat or gift for meat lovers who haven't yet come to know biltong.

Amazing jerky and vendor
Honestly the best jerky I've ever had. So I recently had been looking for more snacks on a low carb intake diet and naturally turned to jerky- I tried 6 or 7 before finding this stuff and have had to keep a running stash of it since. Seriously fantastic. As a spicy food lover, the Peri-Peri flavor is great- though perhaps could use a little more spice if anything, but the flavor is great, and the texture just sets it apart from similar brands entirely. As other people have noted, there is most definitely a prosciutto-like consistency to the jerky which makes it that much better. Yes, the price is up there, but most definitely worth it if you have the money to spare. On top of that, the makers are clearly on their game and a pleasure to deal with, should you have to. I recently had a shipment delivered and stolen off my front porch, and after messaging the company, Kalahari had a replacement shipment to me within a few days, along with a handwritten note thanking me for my business. Honestly, this company has probably made a lifelong customer of me at this point, and I cannot recommend them and their product enough.

Mmmmm~~~
I grew up in South Africa and have always loved loved LOVED good biltong. Recently, I have been craving biltong, but never thought twice about purchasing it on Amazon. After doing some research and reading a lot of reviews, I decided to purchase a 3 pack of Kalahari Biltong. I finished all 3 packs in about 3 days (This required A LOT of self restraint!) The meat is a little drier than what I would like, but I've always liked moist biltong, so that's just personal preference. The spices of the biltong is spot on. So yum!! I will definitely be making a purchase again soon! (I just wish it were a liiiiittle bit cheaper... oh well..)

A true taste of home
FINALLY. As a South African native it's been rough missing out on the comforts of home over the past few years here in the US. Yes, a lot of what we have back home can be found here, but it's the TRULY South African things that one misses when they are gone for so long. Biltong is one of them. My girlfriend, who is American, has made efforts to try and bridge the gap between my new home and the one I left behind. I shudder thinking about how much time and money she has spent trying to covertly import the comforts of home for me here in New York. There's a few expats in the city that like to meet up at the one South African restaurant in Brooklyn and reminisce on what we left behind. We spent the better part of our last dinner together scoffing at American jerky and the conversation returned home with me that night. I figured my girlfriend just tuned me out as she often does. The following week, an unexpected package arrived from Amazon. Inside was three packs of this Biltong. I was a little taken aback at first. I knew there was a few biltong outfits in the States but I was never impressed with their ability to capture the spice blend and drying techniques that make true South African biltong what it is. I ripped open the first bag and, without sounding too dramatic, felt like everything was going to be alright. This is the stuff that I grew up on. This is the stuff that I had been missing. This was a little bit of home. Turns out it's made by a native son of Johannesburg who is living in Boston and his blend is spot on. Cheers mate!
