This is a great product. Functional, very well built and easy to install. This is a must have!

Easy install and perfect height

Just installed this ladder in less than 30 minutes and it could not have been easier. I had my F150 raised a bit in the front and back but this ladder fits perfectly with the various bolt openings. I also took someone's advice and added pieces of a pool noodle to avoid rattling while driving. I sprayed the self drilling screw heads with undercoating after installing for some extra protection as well.

Just what I was looking for at a reasonable price . This particular kit is an upgraded version that is offered by a few other companies I chose it because of the upgrades. Very easy to install works like I expected it to and definitely would recommend it to anybody that’s looking for a simple solution to getting in out of the back of your pick up truck. I’m a big guy 315 lb. and it supported me well.

Before putting in screws double check what's behind the sheet metal

The ladder is a lifesaver I can now get in and out of my truck without climbing on a tire or hurting myself. Reading other reviews I pulled back my plastic liner, undid the sheet metal screws to reveal what was below, I made sure every where a screw would go had a good place to grab and NO wires behind it. The ladder is extremely sturdy and works like a charm. I installed by myself in under an hour including reading the instructions and checking under the plastic liner.

Works on small trucks

I installed the ladder on a 2017 Nissan Frontier . I am 72 and not as spry as I once was!! I know most of you think this is for the large trucks,not so, A while ago I fell getting down from the truck and decided to try this product. It works. There is another product on the market ,but I was impressed with Lifetime Warranty and the treads on the steps.

Beech Lane Pickup Truck Tailgate Ladder

Wish I had this before I slipped and banged up my leg getting in the truck bed. I have a 1997 F150 and it works great. I was concerned because all the reviews and images are of newer trucks but it works. I would definitely recommend. One comment would be, the placement of the hold down strap. I may have misread but I put it to close to the end, it needs to be in the middle where ladder folds to keep it from flapping around. We'll see how it holds up. So far, very happy. At 71, anything that helps me from getting banged up is appreciated. It takes to darn long to heal.

Makes is soooo..........easy to get in and out of the pickup bed.

This is a quality product. I installed on a RAM 1500 with BAKflip cover and 20 inch wheels. The installation went well. I had some difficulty making sure the cover would not hit the ladder when the tailgate was closed. Also the tailgate cable would touch the ladder when in the extended position, but was able to correct by selecting another available step position. The arms from the bracket are not parallel to the tail gate, this is not a problem when using the ladder. The tailgate is heavy to begin with and this does add additional weight, but it is now so easy to get in and out of the bed. The support hardware is great. Overall an outstanding product!

Nice

Well built, and solid. Simple installation, took all of about 10 minutes. Makes it so simple to get into the box on my 2012 Nissan Titan. Strap seems to hold tightly, but well see how the longevity is for the plastic buckle. I may replace it with a stainless hoop if it fails. Reading reviews on this, and other similar products, rust was mentioned frequently, although this particular product seems to be powder coated. Anyway, I did what any smart person would do, and sprayed a few coats of rustoleum satin finish over the factory paint. We'll see how that holds up. I may roll some herculiner on the step portions of it, for a little extra grip, although the diamond plated steps will most likely be just fine. Good product, I will definitely recommend to others.

Good except one problem, that was fixed

I like the ladder. Installation was not bad, the good self tapping screws were great. The problem is the strap that holds the ladder to the tailgate will not stay tight, it slips through the buckle on its own like it is lubed or something. Everything else is good about it as far as i can tell. I would give it 5 stars if not for that problem. I becomes loose and rattles around. Fix that and it is a good product for the money. Update: I emailed Beech Lane and told them of the problem..They responded almost immediately and sent me a video and picture of how it should be installed and work, Mine was installed correctly so they offered to replace it free of charge sending out 2 day shipping. Customer service like that is rare. I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 5.
