This mower is awesome! Battery run time definitely needs improvement from the 5AH's that come with it but everything else about it is excellent. I have a pretty small yard and there is a little run time left after I'm done on a week to week cut. Probably 25min of runtime total but I haven't timed it. Overall construction is what you would expect from Dewalt and the one lever height adjustment is terrific. I have some recessed paving rocks in my backyard which I can mow shorter than the rest of my yard with no effort at all which makes them look a lot nicer.

Unit works as you'd expect, quietly mows the grass using batteries. It is surprisingly light and easy to maneuver around the yard while cutting the grass. Battery life depends on usage as expected, batteries that came with it are barely enough to finish or not finish my common tiny front/back yard in suberbia track home. Buying even a couple 6A batteries would be enough for my yard every time. But I have 4 more 5A batteries from past tool purcases so I just swap out if needed. Way better and easier than going to fill up a 5gal gas can at the station then spilling it everywhere filling up a traditional lawn mower. Garage smells alot nicer now without that old gas guzzler mower hiding out in there. Also as this unit is electric there are no fluids so it is easily foldable to stand upright and takes up far less room than my old mower. Can also now the yard early in the morning as it is super quiet and doesn't wake the wife even mowing by the bedroom windows. If you have a small yard get this unit, even a medium yard if you buy bigger batteries. The YouTube reviews I watched often pitted this machine against acres of overgrown grass. That's not a typical use, I mow every week (or every other) to maintain the height of the grass and get much more life out of the standard battery than those guys show. Also like many of you out there I have plenty of other batteries laying around so a quick swap and you are off to the races again. Would have been nice if it came with 9A batteries but then it would have been alot more expensive!

The grass felt like carpet after the first cut. The two batteries supplied gave me just enough to do my front and back lawn on one charge (50x150 lot). It was like using a tool from the future. No fumes, No harsh chemicals and of course not a lot of pounding repetitive noise.

I am fully vested in the Dewalt 20V battery line so thought I would give the mower a chance. I looked at plenty of reviews, and Youtube videos on this mower. So my eyes were fully open. I have 1/4 acre of sodded lawn part Zoysia and the rest St Augustine. I maintain this sodded law, so no weed and try to keep it at the proper height. A bunch of the negative reviews showed the mower being used for super tall, and un-kept yards. They then complained on the battery life. I can tell you this mower is awesome if you maintain your yard. No, it's not great for unmaintained lawns, clearing brush, and ditches. The battery will not last. The mower deck is solid and made from steel, the height adjustment is awesome and have not found any things on the mower that are flimsy or poorly made. I do think the LED power gauge is stupid, it needs 4 LED's for it to be useful. The supplied batteries will NOT mow the total 1/4 lawn if the mulcher attachment is used but will make it if the bagger is used and the Zoysia grass is not to tall. But the 5ah batteries are great for other tools! This mower is powerful and easy to use, I enjoy the light weight and the wheels are a good size and roll great. Really this is a great mower! If you have and are vested in the Dewalt 20V batty line of tools this mower is a no brainer!. If not, you can find better deals out there with other brands with larger batteries. I did purchase the 9ah batteries, with them I can cut the full yard with ease and use the mulcher. But, I have plenty of Dewalt tools that I can use the batteries. Bottom line this is a great LAWN mower! IF you already have 20V Dewalt tools! Would purchase it again!

I would recommend this to people that already own dewalt tools. Charging batteries takes a long time. I have a small yard and get 2 1/2 mows per charge. I went from a corded mower to this and love not having a cord and the convenience of no oil and gas

Light weight, very low noise, no smell, no smoke cloud, no oil or plugs, no cord pulling, and no dirty carborator to worry about! Alot less fatigue on your back for sure due to less weight. Very easy to adjust the deck height. For the elderly or someone with back pain this would be awesome as well. If you can't move around the heavy equipment this is for you. You will probably want two extra 60v 9 ahr batteries to go with it. A small yard maybe not. I went all in and got to 60v blower, and weed wacker to go with it. Which actually comes with a battery as well. I will never look back on gas again. How long it will last I dont know we will see. I have had mine one season now. Keep in mind this relies on spinning mass/weight of the blade to do the work. Although the motor has desent power you are not going to plow through tall grass like it's a 6hp motor. I mow mine more often to keep the torque on the motor and bearings as low as possible also batteries will last longer. If you want massive horsepower this might not be for you. You can try it for 90 days. I did it and not looking back.

Bought this to add to my assortment of Dewalt tools. It cuts great, very light, easy to push. Only minor downside is battery life. But it's still great considering what you're using. Using the 5AH batteries that come with it, I am able to cut my front yard, back yard, and half of the lot behind my house. A set of 3AH batteries finishes off mowing the rest of the extra lot and a path to get to the road. I will be investing in a set of 9AH batteries to get it all done without changing batteries. Best lawnmower ever, no gas, no oil changes, no spark plugs, no rotting fuel lines or bad gas. Just press down and cut! Pictures are of my yard, to show what you can cut with 1 set of batteries. Dies halfway through the extra lot. Bagging the clippings helps battery life tremendously. I mow on highest setting and bag my clippings, I'm sure both help with battery life.

I am super impressed with my new Dewalt lawn mower. I've had it for about a month and cut my grass three times with it. They used to take an hour to cut my lawn now it takes about 15 minutes including cleanup. I love this thing. Haven't had any trouble with the battery so far. But my lawn is quite small so I could see on a bigger bigger lawn it may run out of battery before it's done.

Got this mower when my old B&D Electric was no longer able to finish my Mom's lawn and replacement battery options for it were limited to aftermarket batteries which were getting mixed reviews. I was a bit worried that the DEWALT was not self-propelled because I have some uneven ground. That did not turn out to be a problem. I don't know how the actual weight compares but this mower feels very light and maneuverable by comparison to my old B&D, yet still seems solidly constructed. The handles make it easy to lift into my SUV, even with batteries installed. The battery charge indicators on the back of the mower head are very handy to have. Adjusting height is a one touch operation. The fact that it uses the same batteries as my DEWALT tools gives me some confidence that actual DEWALT batteries will be available for a long time (B&D is now on "aftermarket" with some bad reviews from some users). I have used this on my small lawn and my Mom's larger one and it powered through the high Spring grass with no problem. Overall, I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend it though see "cons" below. A couple of "cons": Supplied pair of 5AH batteries will be insufficient for all but smaller lawns. If you already have a stable of DEWALT tools and extra 20v batteries, that may not be an issue but if not, and if you have a regular size yard, I suggest planning on getting and extra pair of 5AH 20v batteries or, if your yard is larger, a DCB609-2 20V/60V MAX FLEXVOLT 9Ah Battery, 2 Pack. That really bumps up the cost of the mower of course but it will take care of your battery issues. You could order the mower as is and see how it does on your lawn and then decide what additional batteries you need. You must have 2 equally charged batteries to run the mower and DEWALT only gives you a single, lower amperage charger with the mower. Again, if you already have DEWALT tools (with their batteries and chargers), not a big issue but if not, it makes charging your pair (or more) of batteries a multi-step process. (You can't just charge the batteries in the mower. They must be removed and charged in a standard DEWALT charger.) If you have to transport your mower in a van/suv like I do, there are a couple of things to watch for (see photos). When folding the handle, the heavy cord that runs to the power controls can sometimes get pinched so be careful of that. Also, the grass height adjustment lever gets in the way of the handle release on one side so you will have to move the lever to fold the handle. (Not a big deal.)

I have a small yard .12 acre lot to mow, this mower is great. Throw a couple batteries in and I’m off mowing I can cut the whole yard in about 20 minutes. If I looses a battery I can just grab another off the shelf and away I go I have a whole dewalt system so this fits in quite well. Last time I mowed I used one of the batteries from the mower after the yard was done to weed whack and the blow away all the clippings. This is a great mower IMO.
