What a really really nice set. For the the price your getting an amazing deal on a great set of sockets! Extremely well made. I’m very happy with this purchase..

This is a great value for $30. It's made in Taiwan and the metric sizes fit great (haven't needed the SAE sizes yet). The tool kit is solid at about 7.5 pounds and I especially like the knurling on the extensions and that it includes a universal joint. The sockets sizes are stamped deep and clear. May not matter if you're 20, but when you get to be 40 your eyes will thank you. In the picture, the EPAuto socket is on the right (GW laser etched socket on the left for comparison). Great set for keeping in my trunk in case of a roadside repair. The only thing I would like changed is a longer ratchet (an 8 inch ratchet would still fit in the same tool case) with a lower profile head. A small knurled ring around the sockets would also help when your hands are greasy. Other similar sets (same size ratchet and sockets) sell for 50% more, but I think this will hold up as well as those and the price can't be beat.

There are a zillion socket sets out there, but which one to get? I needed something small and light to keep in my camper trailer. I like that this one has ONLY 3/8 drive. Why? Don't need smaller 1/4" driver or sockets, as a small wrench is usually ok for the small ones. I use a screwdriver-handle with nut-drivers for 1/4" items. Also, I have a torque wrench and Makita impact wrench with 1/2" drive, and a so for those larger bits, i'll just grab an impact bit. Thus, this 3/8" drive socket set is perfect complement to the other stuff I have in the tool box. This one also has SAE and Metric, which is helpful. Cars are usually metric, and trailers are usually SAE, so good to get both - noting that using a socket that's "almost the right size" is a good way to strip the head off. It also includes a knuckle, which is super-useful for hard-to-reach bolts under the hood. I like the case. It's compact, has little wasted space, has all the bits you need and nothing more. It has a good clasp, that seems like it will be good for years. I like stuff from EPAuto. Their tools are generic-brand chinese items, but their selection seems to be better than average. I would not hesitate to recommend this set.

I usually buy the colored sockets (also Taiwan - maybe the same factory) from Harbor Freight Tools. They have stood up to hundreds of hours of wrenching, rusted stuck bolts, and impact (ab)use. They don't round bolts or flex like cheap soft Chinese sockets. I tried these because they are priced even a little better AND more importantly, THE CASE! I almost switched from HFT to Tekton for this reason. HFT has no colored socket set with a well fitted case and ratchet included. This set looks to be as good as Tekton. Nice case that is well fitted to the sockets, no extra bulk and no skipped sizes. 3/4" and 19mm is the one size I do not mind seeing a skip of one or the other (3/4 OR 19) since they are for all intents and purposes the same. I wish they skipped the 3/4 and included 13/16 in its place. I do like the HFT color coding... But other than that, this is technically the perfect set for the money. If they last long term (and I think they will), this is a great buy!!

Was looking for a set like this one, I have a lost craftsman set everything in different places some can't find anymore you know people get stuff and never put them back were they got them from, so seen this set I had to order one got it Today was reading reviews had good reviews was reading some reviews saying to open case make sure open the logo side up, or else one end will fall out everywhere the case does have a logo on top so common sense you open that side up and won't fall out reason why the bottom side they just seating there the top you open with logo sockets stick good to that side, anyways got to say very very happy with this set nice and shiny sockets and all case not bad, I checked all sockets fit good on ratchet this will be a great present I really like it will have in my car would be nice to have one on each car. Update: This sockets are build tuff finally used them first time, this can take a beating will last a lifetime sockets built from a rock or something was amazed how they performed love them.

This set contains both metric and english (e.g. 1/4", 3/8") sizes. It seems sturdy for a 3/8" drive socket and the ratchet works well. When considering a socket set, make sure that it contains all sizes. Some only have odd or even sized metrics/ and not all english sizes above a certain point. I was able to use this on my Jeep Wrangler to take off the bumper, mount a trailer hitch, and put everything back together in 1 hour. I also like the layout of the sockets. The case could be a little better with a handle, but that is a very small detail.

I bought this to keep in my Jeep Wrangler so that I never have to think about grabbing my tools before I take off on an off-road trip. Since I have several mods on the Wrangler, I needed a set with both metric and SAE and this not only has both, it has short and deep sockets of each size. Another advantage is that the sockets are 6 point rather than 12 point, so there's no chance of rounding off the corners of nuts that won't budge. It's in a slim, well-organized and durable plastic case, so it doesn't take up much space. As another reviewer mentioned, it would have been nice if the ratchet was a bit longer, but I carry a short length of pipe as an extension for such purposes anyway, so I'm covered. Hard to beat this set for the price.

After moving, and downsizing several times the past few years, I found most of my tools were missing, I probably sold them during a weak moment at garage sales. While searching for a socket to repair my grandson's bike, I found all I had was several ratchet handles but only 1 19mm socket. I'm not turning wrenches for a living, I just wanted to pick up a complete set of sockets in an organized case. After reading the reviews, this EPauto 45 piece set seemed to be a worthwhile investment. I believe for the average homeowner who might need a socket from time to time, they will find this set is perfect. The sockets are well made with a nice chrome plated finish. No sign of flaking. They are 6 point so they grip well. The SAE sizes are in the top part of the case, snuggly held in place so they don't fall out when you open and close the case. The metrics are in the bottom, fairly loose, so pay attention to the "top" sticker they put on the outside of the case . The case will open and lay flat so you have easy access while you're working. The rachet handle seems smooth, I haven't used it a lot so I can't say anything about the durability, I'm sure it's adequate for home use. If you're looking for a nice inexpensive set of sockets, I would look no further than these. I think you'll be pleased.

I bought two sets. One for my truck tool kit and one for my Jeep. They are really nice and feel surprisingly sturdy for the price. I like the case which is why I bought them to replace the old school folding case I had with elastic loops that had stretched. These can't do that and will keep everything in place. My old one was a mess causing you to hunt for the needed socket. I also bought these because I was changing my battery out in the Jeep while in a parking lot and realized I didn't have any deep sockets. Now my kit is much better equipped.

Got this to install a tow hitch on my car and it worked out great. Pros: - great value and pieces for the price of $36 - came with extensions which was perfect for working on a car's hard to reach areas - the sockets was great, no issues after applying lots of force - nice and tidy in the box - get pieces that you need and not just junk addons Cons: - The wrench which came with it has a pretty short handle so its hard to apply a lot of force - the locking clip on the box feels loose I would recommend buying it for the large sockets and the extensions alone..
