About the accessories...the truth...

Okay, I bought the 5.8 qt. fryer and love it. It's great and works the way it's supposed to. However, I'd like to clear something up about the accessories and how they fit. They are almost worthless, especially the wire ones. I may be able to use the pot and the pan that comes with it. First, the accessories that come with it ARE shipped in the box with the fryer. So I'm assuming GoWise sells these as "made to fit" the fryer but THEY DON'T. They are NOT 8 inches, they are 6 inches across. They are tiny compared to the cooking area in the basket. Not to mention they are ROUND. Your fryer basket is not round, it is square with rounded corners. You lose a considerable amount of surface area for cooking just because of the accessories being round. You won't be able to use them unless you put considerably more on the bottom (basket surface) and then use the little rack(s) to elevate the cook area. Even then you're only going to get maybe one chicken breast or three wings or one steak on the elevated rack. Remember, in order for the fryer to work properly, you have to maintain air flow around the food. It just simply doesn't work with this fryer. I am seriously disappointed that GoWise actually ships these in the same box with the fryer as accessories to the fryer. I will probably buy a Brio next time. They are the ONLY company that doesn't use these crappy accessories. Theirs actually does fit their machine. So that's it, the truth. The fryer is great, but don't spend the extra money on the accessories, you can use a regular 8 inch cake pan or silicone baking vessels in this fryer. The cake pan and pot that come with it are tiny as well, they are not even 7 inches. Don't waste your money.

Impressed

After looking at aifryers online and reading multiple reviews, we decided to purchase the GoWISE 5.8 with accessories, which is a perfect family size. We have been using the GoWISE 5.8 airfryer almost daily for about a month now and we are impressed! Everything we have tried to cook in it (chicken, beef, salmon, bacon, fries, pork, baked potatoes and homemade potato chips) comes out perfect and tastes delicious. The meat is always juicy and never over cooked. The French fries and homemade potato chips come out crispy. They key is not to over crowd them. The airfryer doesn’t use any oil and is very easy to operate and clean. The recipe book that comes with this airfryer is a great starting point for cooking temperatures and time. It has 50 easy to follow recipes.

Works fast, easy cleanup and great taste.

This works great! We have tried onion rings, breaded mushrooms, pizza rolls, crab rangoon, potato crowns, grilled cheese sandwiches and mozzarella sticks and are very pleased. So far, we have always used 400 degrees and usually set the time a few minutes shorter than what the box or bag recommends. We are quite pleased with the taste and how easy the clean up is. We should have purchased this a long time ago.

I've been using the air fryer since day one and I love it! My bacon turns out chewy crunchy and NOT greasy, the way I like!.. You have to play with time a little on the bacon, because it does take a bit longer to cook, but steak is right on, as is frozen burritos, tatertots and things of that nature.. If your thinking of an air fryer, this is the one! Oh, plus get a grease can from Wal-Mart for your bacon grease too, if you dont have one, you'll need it!

Consider not using a non-stick aerosol spray. Those sprays can remove the appliance coating.

We really like it. We bought the 5.8 quart fryer and that was a good choice because you can cook any amount, small or large. I have read different reviews about all air fryers stating that the coating wears off the basket and other parts of the fryer. I will share that I DO NOT use a no-stick spray to coat anything that has a non-stick coating. Several years ago when buying a small grill I was told that these sprays will remove the coating on non-stick appliances. Could be the gas in the non stick spray? Buy a spritzer and do your own non-stick spraying. We are enjoying the GoWISE air fryer.

I love this Air Fryer

I love this Air Fryer. I made a whole chicken the same day I bought it. I seasoned it and put it in the Air Fryer for 30 minutes, flip the chicken, added another 30 minutes and it was done. It came out looking beautiful and the taste was amazing! I also made french fries. It only took 15 minutes and they came out golden, crispy, and delicious. 25 minutes for chicken wings and again amazing results. My family are so impressed with how delicious the food tastes.

Healthy eating fast and easy.

I haven't made french fries yet, but the chicken is delicious. Juicy crispy and tender. I can't believe I can make a fried porkchop with absolutely no soaking in oil for the crunch factor. Makes my crab cakes taste great with no oil soaking, just spray with a little cooking spray and we are good to go. I'm a happy customer.

Super convenient and easy to use!

The fryer doesn't require much or any oil to cook. Frozen foods like chicken tenders, samosas, and fries are crispy and done in less than 10 minutes! You don't need to check on it or flip them halfway, just set the timer and temperature and the fryer will do the job for you. We usually set it on 400F for 7-10 minutes, depending on what we're cooking, and the food comes out beautifully and delicious. The fryer is awesome and a great helper while making a snack or prepping for a meal!

We could almost get rid of our microwave, now.

We weren't sure if we'd even use this very much at first. We aren't much for fried foods - but with teenagers in the house, we tend to have a lot of frozen foods. Well, since we received it we've used this air fryer nearly every day. We also keep discovering new ways to use it. It's not really a 'fryer' since nothing sits in oil, it's really a countertop convection oven. But its super convenient. We have made french fries (fresh cut and frozen) quite a few times, frozen burritos, Asian dumplings (frozen potsticker - with or without oil), pizza pockets, frozen veggie burgers, and even a steak. Its faster than using the oven, and we use this in place of the microwave for a lot of things since it doesn't leave food mushy or gummy (or bread chewy and hard). The microwave only gets used for heating water and popcorn, now. Pro tip: line the drawer base with aluminum foil and change as necessary.

If you are looking for and airfryer I highly recommend the GoWise!

I LOVED my GoWise!! This is my second one. I orginally bought the smaller one but now that I have used it for 6 months and realize how much and how many things I can use it for I decided to by the larger one. Everything I make in it has come out delicious. I have made meatloaf, pork loin, chicken, shrimp tater tots, french fries, etc. Everything is crispy on the outside and nice and moist on the inside. The GoWise is easy to use and good qality.
