Love it
This adorable set has everything you need (aside from tape) to make six unique dolls. It's fairly complex, so I agree with the age rating (and some older kids with patience issues my need extra help, but the set is a great way for parents and kids to bond through crafting). A thoughtful addition is the little foam stands that are not glued on, so you can decide to have your doll stand or lie down. This would make a great birthday gift for boys or girls.

Lots of creative fun and imaginative play + a new crafty skill that's cheap in the future.
My 5-year-old loves crafts, but can't read, so I'm always on the lookout for simple craft projects she can figure out on her own while I'm working. While I love doing projects with her as well, there are days when I need to buy some time to get my work done. This kit was great for that. The instructions weren't super necessary, as it's prettty intuitive, and even if they go about the assembly in a novel way, the results are pretty similar. And the instructions were loaded with pictures, so she could suss out the parts she had questions on. Plenty of supplies, so this is a nice group craft, or will get you several rounds of peace with a single kiddo. The only neg I saw was that the scissors were useless for cutting anything but paper, but all the fabric is precut, so that isn't a dealbreaker. After making the little people, they can use them for imaginative play, a nice bonus over the boxes of rando crafty FOs. Or glue a strong magnet on the back for ongoing display/use. Another great thing about this kit is that after it's cashed out, it's a new familiar craft that will provides lots of fun on the cheap--just get a bag of clothespins and use crafty scraps we already have to make more.

5 stars from the kids who used the kit
My 9 yo and her friend had a very good time making these dolls one afternoon during the summer vacation. Its a 5-star rating from them. The kit comes with everything you need to make 6 dolls. Instructions were very clear, though kids did not follow them, they created their own designs. There is nothing not to like about this kit. It would make a great gift.

Super Cute, and My Daughter Went Crazy Over It!
What a cute freaking craft set! My child went crazy over this doll set, and it was so simple, but insanely cute at the same time! It comes with everything your child needs to make six dolls, and includes the clothes pins, pipe cleaners, clothing sets, pom poms, stickers for the faces, the foam stands, felt, some lace, embroidery string, and even the glue! Although I did get craft glue out as it dries a little faster than the glue provided. My daughter sat there for hours trying to figure out what faces she wanted to use and how those faces would look in a different outfit. She made a fairy like the one on the front package, a mermaid, and then she just went crazy and made fashion dolls. She even cut some of the foam and made little cat ears in one of the dolls hair. This really does enhance creativity, and it was a great set!

She loved that she got to make and put together the ...
My six year old daughter loves craft activities, particularly ones that involve making people or animals, so this set was a huge hit with her. She loved that she got to make and put together the dolls completely, from their hair to their clothes. She needed help with a few things, but she was largely able to make them herself. After making a few dolls, she named them and had them all interacting. There are still more dolls that she can make and she has not lost any interest in the set yet, which is wonderful.

Another fun crafting set!
Cute clothes pin dolls, we have a few of the Alex DIY crafting sets. We really enjoy the creativity time, especially on rainy days. We get set up in the craft room. The kids learn to lay everything out, read instructions and then go to town on creating. Sometimes we even add extra embellishments for a custom look. Most of the time we are just creating on our own, but somethings it’s nice have a kit with instructions to keep them busy on their own for a while. And yes, I had to illustrate how these old fashion clothes pin worked.

Really lets the creative juices flow! Great set!
What a great set! This is so much fun to play with. It comes with six clothespins and stands and then a variety of craft material (ribbon, cloth, pipe cleaners, yarn, stickers, etc.) as well as scissors and glue. I love that it lets kids use their creativity to create their own dolls, but also pre-cuts some of the cloth and pipe cleaners to make the dolls easier to assemble for younger kids. (There are also templates/tools for making the dolls wigs with the yarn which is great!) I think there is enough extra material that if you get some more old fashioned clothespins, you could probably make more dolls (though you would need to make a stand as well.) It's refreshing to have a activity not centered around video games or tablets. I will say, my son is way too young for this (he's 3--the box says 6 and up) but he just loved looking at the box and playing with the different materials. (He pitched a fit when I said I didn't have time to make him the mermaid doll before work-- I opened the box only to discover it was a rather involved process, not a cheap throw some stickers together like so many "craft" projects out there. Of course when I went to play with him and make the doll, he just wanted to look at all the string and ribbons, etc. I think I'll probably be making the dolls with my nieces who are more in the age range.) Overall, it's just a great set and a wonderful opportunity to let kids let their creativity flow.

Afternoon project
My girls are crafty. I am not. So, we needed to find something they could figure out easily, engage in willfully, and have a lot of fun working on. So, they chose this little craft and it worked just great. My girls had fun. It cost me relatively little. And they had something to keep/give away. Maybe it will work as a weekend project for you as well?

So cute
This is a very cute set to make little dolls. They came out so cute! We really like craft kits. I would much prefer them doing something than watching something. It is nice because they can spend the time doing it and then they have something special to keep. They are excited when they make something themselves. This is a great activity for a rainy day or a day when your child is sick or when you are just stuck at home. It is a good way to keep a child busy. I thought it was age appropriate. It wasn’t too hard. The children really liked how it turned out. I feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift. I would recommend it.
