Mounted on my Can am outlander 650 xt with stock exhaust that is pretty loud. Couldn’t mount to my handle bars due to the xt cover but I expected that. Made a temporary stand until i think of a good looking permanent solution. I could barely hear it once over 40mph but trail riding between 10-30 mph it sounded great. Even when getting rained on. Radio works good which was my main reason for this choice due to poor cell reception in some areas. So if you are looking for a radio to make some noise but not hurt your wallet this is perfect. Its exactly what i was looking for. But if i had this on a motorcycle I wouldn’t expect much just because of wind noise I wouldn’t recommend it.

Its just the right size and almost easy to install. The only issue is that some of the extinction or the medal piece may now quit fit the bolts so keep a drill on standby. Other than that its work great. Its perfectly for flat handle bars but a lil work with others but it works great

I put this in my can-am defender hd10 cab. The mounts only fit a pipe/tube which I don't have inside my cab so I just zip tied it up and it worked great. It gets louder than I can even want and I hear the music clearly over the engine noises. I'm not quite sure where all the negative reviews are coming from because for the price this thing is unbeatable. I didn't want to spend 1000 on a huge speaker bar and this worked out perfectly.

This unit is very well built and comes with everything to Mount it to your Bike! The Sound is quite good for its size and price! I installed the unit in about an hour and a half including wiring. The unit performs well, sounds good for size and has ample volume for general use! If you have a loud Harley, maybe not, but otherwise very impressive for its size and cost! I love the looks and it performs as advertised and then some!

its a good size for any application on ur ride. This one did come with extra hardware to mount that others didnt. I have used it everday so far and only one thing wrong cant get the clock off of 24hr time lol. I guess I have to read instructions.

After testing the device I thought it was broke. So I ordered a replacement and that one did not work ether. So I emailed gohawk and the man informed me that the wiring was wrong. Make sure when you doing the wiring put the green wire with the red wire on the same positive terminal and the black one on the negative. The directions that it comes with does not really make that clear. After hooking everything up the right way, this really good sound quality is good, and no static on the FM radio. I would buy this again it is a good product for the money. And getting a hold of gohawk is very easy with a fast response.

I bought this for my wife’s first motorcycle, a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 classic. I mounted it to the handlebars, and then routed all the wiring. The wiring was labeled positive, ground, and starter. It was pretty difficult for me to figure out which connection in the massive wires under the seat went to the starter. I finally figured it out and installed it. It plays pretty good, a little bit Tinny , but it will serve her purposes. If we find that she cannot hear it at highway speed‘s as some other reviewer‘s have mentioned, we will have to buy a faring and a standard stereo and speaker set up, but this will do while she is learning to ride. Her bike is pretty quiet, and I think she will be able to hear it pretty good.

At the time I installed my radio, I didn't know my battery was weak. As a result, the radio didn't work. I sent a note to GoldenHawk and they immediately sent a new unit to me. It arrived in two days. My only criticism of the radio is that it should have a battery backup for the clock. Other than that, it's excellent.

Adding an external antenna turns this thing into life. It brought in and preset over 60 stations with strong receptions. I have to say for the money you can't beat it. The audio at 65 MPH gets harder to hear, the external antenna made a significant difference in extending the speed you can be cognizant of what's playing on the radio. The radio function works louder than the SD card, but there's an answer to that. Google and download MP3Gain Express Mac (Windows for a PC) and you can increase/decrease the volume in bulk songs. You can increase to the point of clipping the sound but really I don't expect a Bose system from this device, loud rules for me on a motorcycle. If I needed better quality I could always Bluetooth from my phone to my helmet. I used the ignition function installation which turns everything on and off with the ignition and it remember the clock and all function from the last state. I also like the automatic station scan and locks in the presets with a single button and great for finding the local station as you ride. All and all you can get better but for more money.
