I only gave 5 stars for Easy to Install, but it really depends on how comfortable you are with messing with the wiring to the male end of the harness. But I’m fine with that, and am very happy with the product, as well has having climate control in my vehicle again. This combo was a fraction of the price of its equivalent at the regular auto parts stores. Here’s the caveat: BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPECS!!! I ordered the wrong part the first time, which cost me another week of being the cold. But that was my error for ordering too hastily. Match up the resistor in your vehicle to the pictured item and you’ll be fine. If there could be an improvement, I’d have liked for the wire-specific lettering to be in the male part of the harness (it is on the OEM part) as well as inside the female end. I had a momentary freak out when I feared I had wired the male end opposite of the correct order. All good though, and the climate control works perfectly!

Perfect fit 2002 Silverado 2500hd extended cab

Fit perfect on 2002 Silverado 2500hd extended cab without auto climate control. There was some confusion if I needed the 2 or 4 mounting hole version but 2 was the correct one. One bolt was badly corroded had to use vice grips to get it out. Perfect replacement with a silicon based resistor that should last longer. First one lasted 19 years, hopefully I don’t have to do it again. Came with a tiring harness that you can cut the only one off and splice in if the connector has melted, common but not my case. Great quality, will use this company again if I need any other parts like this. Only thing that was a problem was the screws that hold it in, one was corroded and I had to use vise grips to get it out and the wiring harness connector’s clip is facing the other way so I had to bend the original harness against how it was before. No big deal.

Does what its suppose to and fits right.

This fit perfect. I ordered one from carparts.com and it would not fit. This part was the right part. Its a bit hard to get in due to the location of the back plug You need to push clip to get old one out, but I got it with a screwdriver. new one went right in. This is what you need if your fan speeds quit working one at a time.

So review is for both ,Product is perfect fir for manual temp control fan blower motor and resistor panel , awesome fast shipping from AWG auto parts, already had old parts out waiting on new parts, took less than 30 minutes to install and put trim back up. Whole process from placing order to receiving and installing less than 30 hours, I Say That is Awsome!

Worked like Champ

Prior to installing the fan speeds 1&2 did not work on my 2000 GMC Siera 1500, After, all speeds worked ad they should. The connection to the fan was a bit difficult to get to and release. But other than that all went well. All in all, it took about 2 hours for the resister and cabin filters which you might as well do since you have to take down the under dash and motor cover off for both.

Exact fit; great price. New plug pigtail was included and turned out to be necessary. Overall, excellent service. Only glitch - ordered it Saturday and Amazon stated guaranteed Monday delivery, but on Monday the delivery date was changed to Tuesday. This part is easy to replace if you are the least bit handy and are able to splice electrical wires, if needed. Go for it.

Easiest repair ever!!!

My climate would only work on 3, 4, 5., so it was either on high, or off. After doing some research online, discovered what the problem was, and purchased this item. Took me literally 10 minutes to complete. Super easy, and worth every penny!

Fantastic Upgrade!

First I must say the item was shipped fast and securely. Very easy to install with 2 screws, 2 hook ups. This blower motor resistor made the difference in my 2002 Chevy Tahoe and now the AC blows perfectly. Highly recommend this replacement.

Easy swap.

Works great and factory replacement. Came with a whip attachment I didn’t need. Be sure to check your screw pattern first as I think there are different setups. My truck had 200k miles. If you are swapping the blower motor you might as well swap this while you have access. My old one was corroded. Great product.

Great part!

Fit perfectly and the part was the easiest part! Removing the original bolts was a little challenging for my vehicle specifically, but the part is awesome. I can now use 1-4 on my temperature control! Used on my 2000 GMC Sierra SLE
