This thing is big and powerful. Cats love chasing it, I am a bit worried about shining it and getting it in their eye by mistake, so it is one thing to consider when purchasing this, that's not too blind your pet's and use with caution.

Best Laser Pointer EVER!!

I usually just grab a crappy laser pointer from the dollar store and use it til it dies (which doesn't take too long because all three cats LOVE IT). I had some Amazon credit so I decided to splurge and get this one (I know - $5 isn't the height of luxury - but wait). First of all, it uses a AA battery so it can be used A LOT LONGER than the little cheap-y ones that just get pitched after they stop working. The second amazing thing is that the light works with a switch so you don't wind up with a giant divot in your thumb from pressing the little tiny buttons on the regular pointers. And last, but not least - the pointer features a flash light setting and it's amazingly bright. Next time you want to treat your kitties - treat yourself too!

Perfect! Uses a regular battery, not those crummy button cells, has a slightly larger, fuzzier red dot (great for cats, not for PowerPoint.) Also doubles as soft-lit normal LED flashlight, good for looking for misplaced cat toys under a dresser or investigating crashes in the middle of the night.

Dual laser/Flashlight

Great laser! My cat hates it and my dog loves it. Weird right? Well as long as one of the pets will use it then I guess it’s not a bad investment. It is a flash light as well as a laser. Perfect to pass the time, or to just get you pet to lose some energy

My Cat LOVES this toy

We are in a routine now. Ever night before walking upstairs and gong to bed, my cat runs to the "playroom" where she knows the laser pointer is kept. She waits with anticipation as my wife or I find the pointer, then it is off to the races. We have had other pointers, but this one has a "red spot" that is bigger, easier to see, and can be followed across multiple rooms as long as there is a clear line of sight.

Great Laser pointer

I like that you don't have to continually press down the button (this has more of a switch) for the laser pointer to work, like some of the other ones I've tried. Bonus for it doubling as a flashlight.

Lavibest Laser Pointer

The unit uses a common AA battery which is nice. The pointer is very bright. The unit is very lightweight. The best part is the slide switch allows you to use the pointer or flashlight without having to constantly hold down a button.
