Great Value, Competitive w/ Much Pricier Units

I think this reel is definitely competitive with much more expensive units. This is my third. I have Kobalt, Goodyear, and this one. The hose seems to be good quality, and the lead-in is the same. It appears the hose is user-replaceable, which is great because the first thing to go wrong with these reels is the actual hose. I mounted it to the ceiling in my shop and had it hooked up in about 10 minutes. No leaks. I like the "detents" in the reel more than my other reels because they are continuous and more frequent. This allows for finer length adjustments. Finally, the retraction is very strong. I am very happy I took a chance on this one, and I think a lot of other buyers will be happy as well.

Great Quality

I purchased a 25 Ft hybrid air hose a year ago and was very happy with the quality. I was impressed how flexible it was. The best air hose I have ever owned! I recently purchased the air-hose-reel. It works great! The hose reels out and in very smoothly. Both are great products.

Excellent price, quality made

I like the Optional-positional lock.Included 'hybrid hose' is nice stuff. Apparently a rubber/PVC blend. Not kinky like pure PVC! Not heavy like pure rubber. Does not leave marks on fine finished like many all-rubber hoses do. Here in Maine we work in the cold, where PVC gets stiff and brittle; this hose is flexible to -40°, colder than I ever want to work in! A really spiffy feature is a guide that works back and forth to lay the hose over the full width of the reel, so it doesn't bunch-up in the middle and bind. Works very well. Wall-mount keeps it out of your way yet aligns with your pull.

Locks at any position you want ,not like the old ratchet locks that you have to keep pulling the hose back and forth before it will latch.

The shippment is so fast,I have to say I like to buy from Amazon.The material seemed very solid.I installed it according to the instructions on the page,it is not diffcult.I tried a few times,I feeling the strong power of the rewind about the reels.Great purchase.

Excellent Value Good Quality

Functions better than flexzilla reels, no air flow restrictions. Nice soft flexible hose. Retracts well, no leaks.

Good unit for the price.

The hose PSI rating of 300 is good even though I only run 130 out of the compressor, should hold up longer. I would have liked four rollers instead of the two with flairs. Better for side pulling when ceiling mounted. I use this one for my air tools and have the lubricator inline, the other is strait air for paint gun and things I do not want oil in. The hose connection to the reel uses a compression ring fitting instead of the standard NTP fitting. This could be a problem if you need a new hose, not a standard fitting. Hose has a smell to it, ok in the shop. I have owned many reels this one is a pretty good deal for the money even with the flaws.

GOOD Air Hose Reel

After years of fighting to coil up my air hoses, I decided to look into a "flexible hose in a retractable reel. After a significant amount of research and reading reviews of both metal and plastic models, as a DIY Home Owner using an air hose periodically, I decided to go with this "Giraffe" retractable, wall mounted, swivel based model. I found it to be very sturdy, made well, mounts easily, catches and stops nicely where you want it to when pulled out, then retracts and winds back into the case with just a sharp tug on the hose. It was also nice that it comes with several connectors to hook to the hose and compressor. I just received this unit and have not used it a lot, but hopefully it will hold up over time. So far I am very pleased with the product for what I needed and would definitely recommend
