I rarely write reviews.... especially positive ones, but WOW what a great value. Looks like a high quality part, made my old Echo PAS-225 run like new again. This was about the same price that Home Depot gets for just a primer bulb and fuel lines/filter - and to get the air filter from HD you have to cough up another $17. Couldn't be happier. NOTE: As many have commented, installing the new fuel line grommet can be a chore, but this made it easier for me: Pull the 2 shorter lines out of the grommet before you attempt to stuff it into the fuel tank then put the fuel lines back in after the grommet is seated. I trimmed the tip of the hoses to make them easier to push into the grommet.

This kit contains it all the parts one needs to do a complete tune up of their edger. I searched the internet without luck until I went to Amazon and found this HUTLZ kit. It has the carburetor itself (already assembled), both gaskets, new fuel lines, spark plug, air filter and two extra primer bulbs. All this for less than just a spark plug, filter and fuel line at the box stores. It is a great value. Besides that once it was installed the edger started on the first pull and it would not start at all before installing the new kit.

Very easy to install, a little effort with a screwdriver to get the fuel line grommet in the tank took about 30 seconds. Whole installation took about 5-6 minutes, really nothing to it as unit was preassembled, just had to attach the fuel lines the same way as the old ones, reattach the throttle cable and screw in two screws, set the air filter in place and screw on the cover. Started right up, excellent!

Very happy. I do lawn maintenance for a living and had 3 srm225 weedeaters rgat have been in shed for last year or 2 due to not wanting to spend the $80+ the shop charges to fix them. Got all 3 running with the new carbs and cleanning out the exhaust port on the cylinder head. If it runs but bogs down at full open choke then take off exhaust and spark plug out, look into cylinder, carbon will build up in exhaust port closing it restricting airflow. Just scrape out using flathead but dont scratch the cylinder and it will run great. Think it's due to to much oil in the gas mixture. Any ways this is a great deal. Lots of things to go bad in a carb and for $15 buck just replace it.

I almost gave up hope on my Echo GT-225, but a friend told me to try replacing the carb. I figured for the price I had nothing to lose. I purchased this carb and knew it wasnt going to be difficult installing, but was actually easier than I expected. I literally replaced it what my motorcycle was warming up, not my weed wacker runs as new!. great product, fast shipping, and all the needed parts.

After many years of reliable service my Echo GT-225 started to sputter last year and wouldn't stay on. I tried to clean the existing carburetor, but it did not solve the problem. So I got this kit and changed everything out (carb, fuel lines, etc.) in about 30 minutes (with a little youtube how-to video support). Started right up and is running like a champ again! I wish I were a good enough mechanic to have salvaged the old carb, however I am not, period. So for approx. $15 for new parts and a little effort, it's running like new. Very pleased!

This kit resolved a problem with my Echo GT-225 that would die when throttling up. There are no instructions in the kit, however there are plenty of online videos on how to replace these parts. Very easy to install the carb and fuel lines. The trimmer started on the second pull and ran fine with no adjustments needed. Didn't really need to replace the plug and filter so will save for another time. It was hard to believe a kit with all these parts was so inexpensive.

First of all not all equipment will have the same results. I purchased this kit for use on a low performing Echo GT225 String Trimmer. I had trouble with hard starting, bogging down and low power, only 5700 rpms on WOT. I installed the kit in under 30 minutes and tested the unit. Don't forget to install the new air filter. Easy start up, no bogging and after a thorough warm-up period " Wide Open Throttle" hit over 9000 rpms without any carburetor adjustment I think max specs is 9400 rpms. Idle downs to 3600 rpms. Another bonus is easy access to the carburetor high speed jet screw. So the unit is running great because of this very reasonably priced repower kit form HUZTL, great kit great company. I've purchased from this company numerous times and no I'm not on their payroll LOL.

After 3 years Echo SRM225 weed eater was fuel starved, low rpm, low power, hard starting, stalls when tilted. I purchased a rebuild kit and rebuilt the carb over and over with carb cleaner, sonic cleanser, maybe four hours total -- still sucked (or didn't suck, if we're talking about sucking fuel). I installed this $16 carb in five minutes and it sprung back to life like new! Started on first pull, warm after 2 minutes, then full throttle! This is probably the best value I've seen on Amazon, ever (been a member for five years or so). I am not overstating this.

How much is your time worth? I was fiddling with my PAS225 for a couple days cleaning the carb, pulling filers on and off, messing with the throttle and fuel lines and I just couldn't get the thing to run right. All the normal symptoms of bad fuel supply/gunked carb. It would bog when pulling the throttle, it wouldn't always rev high, it was hard to start, etc. I was ready to toss the whole thing in the garbage because I was so frustrated but as a last ditch effort I purchased this. I figured the price was reasonable enough, especially considering it included air filter, fuel tank filter and spark plug! If it didn't work I wasn't out that much. Once installed, my unit fired right up. Next time I know not to even bother trying to clean and diagnose the unit; I'm going straight to buying this kit. It's just not worth the time and effort to try to clean and adjust it.
