Great flash ; you won't regret buying it
I've been looking for a cheap ETTL flash for a long time , so when I saw this for only $70, I had to try it out. I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. Very great flash for the price. I'd even go as far as to say it's too cheap for what you get. I bought this in August of 2018 and it's still working perfectly fine. Works fine on both my Rebel T3 and my 7D. The AF assist light works fine, remote functions work fine as well, however ETTL does not work( not that the flash is broken, but this is just how it was designed) when using the remote functions unless you buy a more expensive remote setup. I will definitely be buying from ESDDI again when I need another flash.

Well worth the money
I have used this now for 2 months on my Canon SL2. Excellent refresh rate and above average battery drain

Nice
This was a super deal. I have used it once and it was pretty easy to use. There is so much that the flash can do. Have not had the opportunity to work with all of them. I have a Canon DSLR and it was compatible with it.

The remote didn’t work on mine
Works great for the price , only issue is the remote would not work

Great Value as soon as you figure out the flaw is amazing for the Price.
Pros: 1. The price is unbeatable if this flash meets your plan (what you want to do). The features you get for the price is just unbeatable. I bought 3 of these and love them. I can do HSS and E-TTL using master mode in canon system (requires at least 2 flash unit). I can do E-TTL using my built-in flash as master (best to do if you only own 1 of this flash, no HSS in this method though). E-TTL seems to work in Optical transmission only and not in Radio but it still works. Radio wireless mode works reliably in manual flash mode (3-groups, A,B and C). Use your camera LCD to change power of each group. I have 2 of these flash attached to 2 softboxes and I don't need to changed every flash power on each flash because I can change them in the camera menu (how nice). So it's not really without any hitch, but it's good when you figured out what you have to do to get it to work for you. Wireless E-TTL (Optical Transmission mode) is very easy using your built in Flash as master and works great using the ratio A:B (2 flash units).Using a 3rd flash unit as Master flash on top of Camera gives me up to 4000/sec (my camera limit). 2. The customer service was biggest surprise to me. I had 1 unit went bad after 3-months and I've talked to Customer service for ESDDI (Her name is Wendy) and after posting a video of what the problem was, I was worried first that I needed to make the video but as soon as they've seen the proof, Viola! I got an email from ESDDI that a brand new unit was sent to me with the tracking number. I didn't even have to do anything anymore like send the bad unit for repair. I only have to wait or the replacement! How cool is that! I am ever grateful to ESDDI's commitment to me. (Thank you Wendy of ESDDI Customers Service). Other Thoughts: I am thinking of getting a pair of YONGNUO Wireless ETTL Flash Trigger YN622C II with High-Speed Sync HSS 1/8000s and test these Flash units to see if I can get the E-TTL on Wireless Radio Transmission mode to work. The limitation of these flash units is not having E-TTL Wireless Radio Transmission mode (yeah, I've tried all my flash units and it always blows out my subject). Also, Group A Slave does not obey the Master unit on camera. It always blows out the subject. My only solution is Make group C my Main light and use Group B as Fill light. This Method realizes the E-TTL and HSS in Optical transmission mode. It's what I've been using lately because I now this method works.

Incredible feature-rich flash for a low price
This flash works seamlessly with my Canon DSLR via the E-TTL metering, and I couldn't be happier with the result. It has so many features I'm still learning, but it allows great portrait photos inside and outdoor low-light scenes such as subjects with a sunset in the background. I originally hadn't thought about setting up a master / slave for some of my shots, but this flash makes it look so simple and inexpensive I may just have to get a softbox and give it a try. Good on ESDDI for creating a solid feature-rich product.

It's good
I don't know why but in spite of the good reviews I still expected this product to be completely horrible. I guess it's because I've had such horrible luck with cheap camera equipment (you can thank neewer for that). To my surprise, everything works as advertised so far. You can believe that I will be keeping a close eye on it and updating this review if it has any quality issues though, as my experience with cheaply made camera equipment is it works really well for a very short period of time then it begins having serious issues.

Buy this and save some money
I was skeptical of a cheap import, but this flash has been great. The mounted TTL mode works fully with my Canon SL2.

Good Quality and Use for the Price
So far this flash has worked great. It feels sturdy and well made. The screen light can be turned on or off with a button and the flash can be tested with another button. I've yet to fully test all the flash features, like the remote control, and if something goes wrong I will revise this, but I have a feeling it will work great. My only qualm is that it takes 4 AA batteries rather than a rechargeable. However, I will say if you are out and it goes dead somewhere, you can easily swap for new batteries without having to wait for any to charge. The diffuser also works nicely and comes with the box that you see in the pics but also one that slides out of the flash. Its carrying case feels well made too though I wish the strap could unfasten. All in all, this is a great flash for the money, secures to the camera nicely, and is great for beginners.

Awesome lighting for beginners.
I am a beginner student photographer and this camera flash is awesome. It has everything you need to get a more professional look to your photos. As a beginner, I thought that my HSS I would be able to get up to 1/8000s for all canon. I was wrong. I have a canon T5 and a canon T4i; their max shutter speed is only 1/4000s. This means that it is not possible for me to obtain the HSS on the flash of 1/8000 if my camera's max shutter speed is 1/4000, but 1/4000 with a lower f/stop # on a bright day works. Note to all the beginners, if YOUR CAMERAS' MAX SHUTTER SPEED IS 1/4000s, you HSS will match 1/4000s. The case, the receiver, the overall quality is very durable. I bought Neweer softbox and a stand separately and perfect ! I like using it on manual so I can control the flash and ambient exposure, I can more the light around on the stand so It's not directly on the camera's hot-shoe....It's a must have for starters. I can't forget Jeb, customer service rep was great filling me in on why I could not get the HSS of 1/8000s. Now I know. Happy Shooting.
