Unexpectedly Great

First, this is a passive device, it is not powered. It merely amplifies the sound coming out of the speakers at the bottom of an iPhone. People don't seem to understand that With that said, the little thing arrived today and we promptly tried it out. It really worked. The sound out of the speakers is directed out of the 'horn' which could be faced in the direction of the screen or the screen flipped to point away from you. It was really loued and will surely be enough to reach the entire classroom (which is my wife's desire). The sound it not amazing by any stretch, but if you're merely trying to amplify the sound to a largish room, this will simply work and will not require any type of power. Of course there are limits. If you have too big a room you'll need a powered/bluetooth type system. But those usually start around $30. Then you may have to remember to charge them or will need a power source. So if you need a somewhat temporary sound amplification system, try this out. For $15 it's well worth it.

It works

It works. I work at home and spend a lot of time on my iPhone in conf calls. Most of the time, others on the call are on a speaker phone too and it was difficult to hear them. The sound quality is good and it absolutely increases the volume and clarity of the iPhone speaker output.

Louder than the bowl amplifiers

The upside is the sound is much louder than the volume you get using the bowl amplifers, as well as clearer (whereas the bowl has a bit of a distortion sound as the sound reverberates in the container). The downside is if you have any kind of thick case (such as mine which is a battery case) you'll have to take the phone out of the case to slide it into this amplifier. It's a bit of an ordeal to get my phone out of the case, so when I really want something quick and easy to drop into without removing from the case, the bowl wins. If I have an extra minute to pry my phone out of the case first, the sound quality of the Bone Collection amplifier is worth the effort. I primarily needed an amplifier when I'm on a call and have to get in the shower but want to keep talking - I found I could hardly hear my caller over the shower noise, and didn't want to get a blue tooth shower speaker, which I tried in the past. I love the simple physical amplification of a non electric device like this or the bowl.

Works extremely well. Ordered one for myself, and my husband wanted to take it for himself. Looks like we’ll be ordering a second one soon...☺️ The stand works perfectly and the sound is amplified significantly! I love to use this in place of Bluetooth wireless headphones to avoid unnecessary EMF exposure.

Sound quality

I have a hearing problem and wanted amplification for my iPhone. I had bought a small Jensen amplifier, but found the sound mushy. The Bone acoustic speaker produces mid to high frequencies very accurately and loudly. In fact, I lower the volume on my iPhone when the Bone amplifier is attached. My iPhone 6 has a relatively thin case, so I have no trouble fitting the iPhone in the the amplifier. I do not need my hearing aids when listening with the amplifier. It's a pleasure to me to have the simplicity of the Bone amplifier--no batteries, no cords. Caveat: Although the listing on Amazon that the Bone Stand can be used with an iPhone 6, the box that the amplifier came in carries the name Horn Stand 7 plus; Nevertheless, my iPhone 6 with case fits easily into the amplifier.

I really like that you can use it vertically or horizontally. It fits great, feels great..not wobbly at all. I’m ordering another for an extra. Sturdy and a no brainer to use! Worth the money. Just the thing

Bought this so I could share history podcasts in the car with my kids during the school commute. My car doesn't have a way to plug my phone in over the sound system, so this amplifies the speaker just enough so we can all hear. Thank you!

Great for my grandmother with bad hearing!

I bought this for my grandmother who has a hard time hearing her phone when we call and speak to her since her hearing has gotten worse over time. She can place it on her phone in 1-2 tries (she also has weak fingers/hand) which is great (it is very easy to put on) and this makes it SO loud (to me). She can hear this over her tv and says she can hear the phone so much better when we talk to her on it! I think it’s great for people who have a harder time hearing as well as if you’re in places that are louder and have a hard time hearing your phone.

Bone Collection sound amplifier

Purchased for a family member who is hard of hearing. She loved it and it worked well. Her only complaint was when she tries to charge her phone the amplifier tend to get in the way and makes it difficult for her to try and charge her phone. She just takes off the amplifier. Which then leads to her second issue trying to get it back on the phone. All and all she is happy since it has made it a lot easier for her to hear her phone.

Very useful for Listening and Watching!

Pay attention to the phone model you have and be aware that you either have to take the phone out of its case or your case better be very slim. The amplification is amazing and it holds the phone at a good angle for Face Time or video conferencing. I like to listen to audio books and this lets me walk around the room and still hear the book very well. I actually gave the smaller one away because I just upgraded to an iPhone 11 and needed the larger size.
